@bobbyspence4697 so glad you enjoyed it! I'm finally back in two shoes, and helping my foot re-learn how to walk (especially down stairs). Amazing what we take for granted. If you aren't subscribed, I hope you'll consider joining us. Happy adventuring!
@@jeepinandexplorin thank you! I must admit, I really did want to just sit on the couch a while longer, but I'm glad Bill talked me into it. I'm finally off crutches and out of my orthopedic boot, but I'm betting I'm a lot more careful in the future. Two feet are so much easier than one and a peg leg.
@maxiimillion33 thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the video. I'm finally getting to wear two shoes and walk again this week, but it will be a while before my foot can take me hiking again. Enjoy your day!
We absolutely love that site. Can't wait for the next video. Hyner View is amazing. Some amazing sunsets can be seen from there. We are originally from not too far from there. We grew up roughly 45 minutes from Renovo.
@@PapawGrandmaAdventures such a beautiful place! A blessing to grow up in that area for sure. We are still enjoying exploring in Pennsylvania. Let us know if there is anywhere in particular you suggest we visit.
@@debbigilbert9464 yep! He was determined to try to make a Thanksgiving dinner at camp, and he did great! The peg leg was definitely interesting, but I'm so very grateful to be back on two feet again, even if one of them isn't quite ready to fully be a foot yet.
@wadehamlin thank you! I hated regular crutches, and found something called the I Walk 3.0 after a colleague mentioned trying a peg leg. It was awesome (though my doc was a little skeptical). You do have to have good balance on your good foot/leg, but it was easier to use than I expected. It's also the only mobility device (crutches, scooter, or peg leg) that I could use to get in and out of my lifted jeep on 37s without help. It did great, even in snow and ice, but inclines/declines meant taking tiny steps and I had to walk down stairs backwards while holding the handrail. Does that help?
@@JourneyBeyondOverland Yea I guess it might be good if you are going to be up and around for a while. But for like quick trips around the house seems like crutches would be more convenient.
@wadehamlin if you have good strength in your arms and don't have to carry anything, I agree. My arms are super whimpy, so even short distances at home were hard for me on crutches, especially when I wanted to carry things with me. How long will you be on crutches?
@@JourneyBeyondOverland We took the bus up the logging road, got to the camping site and it was foggy! The fog never lifted lol Hows your foot doing? I hope you're all healed up by now.
@@buscampers so sorry you didn't get to enjoy that view! We found two more sites with pretty good views this time as well, but they still don't match this one in Sproul. As for my foot, I got to wear two shoes to work for the first time since September today. Now I just have to remind my foot and accompanying muscles how to walk again! Thanks so much for asking.
Scenic Pennsylvania, the views really open up with the leaves off the trees!
Loved the video ! Take care of that foot.

Found your channel last night and subscribed. I'm from NE Ohio too so PA is close to me.

Dedication!!
The snow is stunning!
Cold but worth it!
