    OMG I love that Circular Grid Notebook for mandalas - I did not know you could get paper like this - thank you for sharing 👋🏻🤗👋🏻

      Any time! They make it so much easier and then you can just trace with clean paper but saves the hassle of drawing every guideline out there

    Awesome haul!! I don’t want to know which colors I’m missing from Copics lol! But to have the whole collection of them…😍😍😍!! It’s fun seeing your collection grow. Thank you for sharing!!💖💖

      You should swatch them! Of course it's defeating when you have quite a few and still so many blank spots lol

      Yes! I can definitely do a flipthrough of her book. I do have a hair series! The first one is already up (red hair with polys), and I'm currently finishing up the second.

    I have that same brush set. I use the heck out of that little round one. It is so good for small spaces. Some of my favorite Copic colors are those BG ones. BG72 goes really good with BG75. I have a handful of Blick brush markers. I will say (just my opinion) that they are a decent marker, and I do like them, but I personally find the nib to be too soft and it is a teeny bit smaller. It just doesn't feel as firm (or as nice) as the Copic marker, and because of that I don't feel like I have as much control. Great haul, thanks for sharing!

      I agree. Once you get the Copic nib nothing compares. Also Copics color range is just beautiful. They work together and they really put thoughts into their colors when they created them.

    If the Copics bring you joy then they are worth it! Do you have any water based brush tip markers that you would recommend? I'm looking for a set to work in a particular coloring book (Moon Blossoms) and I don't have any experience with those type of markers other than the Hobby Lobby brand which I'm using now. The paper has a gloss on it that the water markers work very well with.

    • @ColorfullyOptimistic
      @ColorfullyOptimistic  3 роки тому +1

      I wish I did. I have tried a few water-based markers, and I just haven't enjoyed them. They don't layer as easily and breakdown the paper (unless using watercolor paper), which is why I have really enjoyed alcohol markers. I know a lot of people enjoy the Zig and Arteza ones. I never purchased Zig because of the price, lol. Arteza I tried, but just didn't like the feel. I have heard good things about Tombow, but ouchie on the price there too!

    How are you feeling? I wish I could afford Copics! I also need that Luna book LOL and omg that fairy portraits book is SO cute!

    • @ColorfullyOptimistic
      @ColorfullyOptimistic  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Luna - thank you for asking. I'm actually feeling a little better today. Each day gets better so that's a good sign. Copics are pricey, which is why I only allow myself to buy so many per month and even then it is a hit. I'm actually going to try the new Blick Art set that is a good Copic competitor (their latest brush set) and who knows...I'll still probably collect all of the Copics though. I really do like using them.

      Thanks for the tip! I've used some of them and they leave streaks on my coloring pages. Is there one specific that does better? I'd definitely be open to buying it if so. I tried the rollers and they just didn't smooth out.

    Hi Cori thank you for the video, it was fun. Did you purchase the portraits of beauty on Etsy? I went under Raen Art but didnt see it. Im interested because I dont have a printer and I think its really pretty. Of course everything is downloaded and printed on there. She might of sold out of it. 😔

    Thank you for your reviews, I was wondering which printer you use to print digital coloring pages...

    • @ColorfullyOptimistic
      @ColorfullyOptimistic  3 роки тому

      Sure! So, I use a laser printer because inkjet will smear with markers and some wet mediums. The one I purchased was in 2016, but here is the newer model of it: amzn.to/3fqFnuQ. I plan to upgrade to this one once I run through the ink toner I just got for mine haha.

      @@ColorfullyOptimistic Great, thank you for the reference, one more question, does the drawings printed with the laser print work well for colored pencils, blending with colorless blender pencils, layering, burnishing? Or it should be treated with care? Assuming a thick paper is used. Thanks again.

    • @ColorfullyOptimistic
      @ColorfullyOptimistic  3 роки тому

      @@zobieskyovalle2085 The lines won't smudge unless you're pressing incredibly hard - and that would even happen on a professionally printed book. But if you are using the proper amount of pressure, my laser jet lines hold incredibly well. I mean I use markers, watercolors, etc and those things don't move.
