This honestly might be the best sound demo I've ever heard for a CS-50. Such a wide selection of sounds with no bs. Granted, there were effects, but those are a given for me when playing synths so it's no biggie. Fantastic stuff
My father gave this one to my brother after someone threw it out and he find it, it cost like 50 dlls to repair and now he has a 2000 dlls synth. It sounds stupidly amazing, my 400 dlls mini nova doesn't compare to this one in this video. Love synths btw.
The CS-50 was Loverboy's main synth on their first two albums. You can hear it on songs like "The Kid Is Hot Tonight", "Turn Me Loose", "Lady of the 80's", "Prissy Prissy", "Working For The Weekend", and "Take Me To The Top".
øystein Redalen: This 50 must have been modified. The R boards in my CS60 hold the resistor banks that represent the levers and potentiometers resistance value as memory. Whoever modified this instrument must have tapped in to the circuit after that are board. Unless they designed an entirely new R board.
best cs-50 demo on youtube
Great sound demo.

Absolutely great demo, indeed!
(There might only be reverb, as far as I know: it's a very versatile instrument.).

It made me cry.....
Fantástico!!!
I see the CS 50 is in 'panel mode', great!
Suverenity ❤️
In many ways, i actually prefer this to the CS-80.
I'm curious about how you managed to modify the CS50 to accept parameter changes even when presets are selected?
øystein Redalen I was just wondering the very same thing...

Oops! “Panel” preset and “2 Oct Down” tab selected - that makes the control surface “live”.
gawd I'd hate to maintain one of these fcoekrs
nobody knows how to play chords?
