My bolt had an issue where the terminals broke off inside the battery under a plastic cover on top. Fixed it by buying a different brand of battery and using zip ties to hold the battery cables still. Yeah, randomly would shut off and sometimes would not start

So was it the battery after all?

Volt meter bro. Test the battery, let it sit then test it again. If the voltage dropped there’s a draw. To test the draw properly, or without letting it sit for hours, disconnect the negative side to the battery. Put the leads to your volt meter on the negative terminal of the battery and the ground wire you just disconnected from the battery. Be sure the volt meter is set up for amps. If you see any reading over 0 you have a draw somewhere. Hope this helps man!

It definitely sounds like it could be battery related - they normally only last 3-4 years (I’m guessing your Bolt’s around that age?).
Finding your calling in the world can be tough mate. I’ve got 10 years on you, but my career journey has been just as varied. After two apprenticeships (car mechanic and electrical linesman) I went back to University, got my teaching degrees and now I teach ‘“ndustrial Technology and Design” (which I think you call ‘Shop class’?).Teachers get paid pretty well where I live (Australia), but I’ve heard otherwise about the US? For me, I sat down and thought about the jobs I’d had, and what parts of them I’d liked - I really enjoyed sharing my knowledge with other people (apprentices), so that’s why I’m now a high school teacher - love it.
Anyway, enjoying the Bolt content, keep it up.

Yeah its a 2014. From what I remember when I bought the bike last year the owner said he replaced the battery. Could be lying to me haha

When the bike died, did it try to crank when you tried to start it?

Almost positive its the battery. I remember when I first got my bolt..I left it sitting for like 2 weeks cause I bought my bike in the midst of rainy season and it was raining almost everyday so it sat without a tender..rain passes and my bike was already dead..was so confused cause I only had like 300miles on the bike at the time lol. The stock battery is pretty weak too..
