I love how Morgane reacts when the audience cheers when Chris first starts to sing. Her smile and nod is as if she's agreeing and going 'isn't he amazing!' :)
Don Williams wrote and recorded this song, but if I'm not mistaken the late, great Waylon Jennings had an even bigger hit with it when he covered it back in the late 70's.
Got to go see Don William's a few years before he died. The older audience was beautiful to watch to, listening to music they had fallen in love to, people were so happy seeing him
Bob McDill wrote this song. He's just been announced for this year's class of the Country Music Hall of Fame. Williams recorded several McDill songs, including "Falling in Love", a particular favorite of mine.
They not only are PERFECT together.... her reaction when he started singing, truly priceless!! It is so very obvious that she loves and is so very in awe of his talent as well!!! Love this performance!!
Morgan, Chris' wife, is the one that got him to sing his songs...he wrote for many other but did not really want to be out front. Thank you Morgan for encouraging your husband. Morgan is a great vocalist. Perfect vocals
I don't know Chris, never met him, but my wife does. They went to high school together. From all local accounts he is truly as great a guy as he seems. We live in his hometown Paintsville Ky
5 kids together, and there they are side by side killing it. BTW... She's also there with him at every concert because he has stage fright and that's why he often looks at her on stage.
Everything you said about Morgane is spot on, and the people get it. She was/is the catalyst behind her husbands success. The two together work PERFECTLY in harmony and in life. Just saw CS in Virginia Beach with his beautiful soul mate by his side singing background, but stage front (Chris would not have it any other way). When Chris introduced the band members, Morgane got the loudest ovation.....BY FAR! The people get it.....they know how strong this woman is and what she has worked to promote for the people. Pure majic, soulful majic. If this song does not move you, check for a pulse. Great reaction, TY.
Love these two, and this song! It’s my shower song, practicing the high note Morgan hits. They really brought country back to my heart, and Tyler Childers, Colter Wall and many others!
Asia I love Chris Stapleton as much as you! Gurl Chris and Morgan seem to be a true love she went after him when they meet he way shy or didn’t think she would be interested! Do you know they got like 5 kids he gets her pregnant every time he looks at her LOL I love them both they are true music and love!! 🌻🌻🌻
"He gets her pregnant every time he looks at her" Hahahaha!! That's a powerful look right there. She like, " Damn, Chris, Quit looking at me that way! We gonna have to put out another album to support all these kids!"
Morgan was seeking her own career in Nashville when they met. I heard them in an intervue and she said laughing that she stalked him. Now 5 kids later and they have the dream life. A full family and a wife/the best harmony/duet partner on earth. Who says there ain't a God. Hallelujah!
First time I heard the original Don Williams version in the 70s I thought I have heard the perfect country song. It was written by Bob McGill who wrote many of Dons hits, and Alabamas Song of the South.
NPR Tiny Desk Concert def deserves a reaction. It's only 4 songs. But there's one in particular that is a tear jerker. And it's called More of You. He is even emotional after. The way she looks at him while singing... 😭
You should do a set of Waylon Jennings reactions. His live stuff and studio stuff are really different. He has said that it's his favorite song he has recorded.
Waylon Jennings wrote it and recorded it with a female background voice....beautiful song then too. Don Williams also recorded a nice version of this too. This latest duo of Morgan and Chris Stapleton just rips the walls down. Ty for playihg this.
Him and that old ass guitar .. lol 😂 I lv it !! Y’all gotta see Sometimes I Cry Live from Binge Lounge .. he just plays his old guitar and sings his ass off !! I lv that he uses an old guitar and plays so good .. he was writing hit songs for 15 years .. she finally told him he had to sing his own songs ..he said if she would be on stage and sing w him he would do it .. and he did and got huge quickly !! He was one of the only singers to get New artist album of the year and Male Vocalist all in the same CMA award show .. that was the night he sang w Justin and that was also his first live performance on the CMAs .. he wept when he won Male Artist and spoke about his dad .. y’all just need to look up his speech from that night .. it was amazing !! And Miranda Lambert wore a Chris Stapleton T shirt that night !! She said “F” this dress I’m supporting this man cause it’s his time to shine !! I lv that !!
That is so cool good for you Amanda. It's cool that you get to hear another version to hope you're lucky enough to hear some good versions in the future
This is a Waylon Jennings song. I live Don Williams and I realize that this Chris Stapleton performing on a tribute to Don Williams but this song was performed by Waylon like no other!
By the way they have 6 children including a set of twins. And last i read they travel with their parents. The 1973 was with Waylon Jennings Chris did a cover.
Asia you are so precious. This is an older song written for Waylon Jennings and he and his wife did a few duets too. Jessie Colter was the wind beneath Waylon in a similar way. Storms never last by Jessie and Waylon would be a good reaction too. So this is a cover - note Chris and Morgane’s son’s name is Waylon. LOL
Chris suffers severe stage fright, Morgane looking at him at the beginning is to help calm his nerves to stave off a panic attack....they are terrific together and you will see her on all his public performances, or at least in his eye sight...
Oh my my my IDK if y'all remember a few days ago on your live stream I really wanted to request DON WILLIAMS....I BELIEVE IN YOU❓🧡 WELL guess who sang this very song first that Chris is performing here. None other than DON himself. I truly feel Don didn't get the appreciation he shot have.the man has a huge body if some damn greats imma telling ya lol I have always loved his music looks like maybe Chris does as well man he chills me to bone he's so dang good
Anyone who sings with Chris instantly becomes second fiddle. No one can give a performance like he does, other singers just lock up when they hear him, you can see their wheels spinning in their head trying to understand how he is just doing what he is just doing.
I love how Morgane reacts when the audience cheers when Chris first starts to sing. Her smile and nod is as if she's agreeing and going 'isn't he amazing!' :)
She is the perfect bluegrass background singer
Morgane singing you are my sunshine is a thing of beauty as
well.
This is a Don William's song. You would love him also. He was called the gentle giant.
His voice is so distinctive - amazing! I always love hearing his songs.
Waylon did a killer version as well
I was just going to say that 👍😊
Morgan's voice is like a clear mountain stream! Them together make a wonderful duo!!
My great grandpa sang this to me for years. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
That makes me want to cry just thinking about it. ❤️ happy memories
His grungy voice and her pure voice are just perfect.
Don Williams wrote and recorded this song, but if I'm not mistaken the late, great Waylon Jennings had an even bigger hit with it when he covered it back in the late 70's.
indeed he did! can't beat waylon, but chris sure is close
Yes Waylon made it a huge hit
Got to go see Don William's a few years before he died.
The older audience was beautiful to watch to, listening to music they had fallen in love to, people were so happy seeing him
Yes that's how I remember this song
Bob McDill wrote this song. He's just been announced for this year's class of the Country Music Hall of Fame. Williams recorded several McDill songs, including "Falling in Love", a particular favorite of mine.
You can watch Margane perform You Are My Sunshine with Chris accompanying her. Her voice is beautiful
Isn’t Morgane awesome ? I just love how well they fit together, both in marriage and music. A truly magical couple!
Wow…just Wow 😲 What a pair. Thanks, guys.
Original by Don Williams. He has a very gentle soothing voice ☮️💜
I am so glad I found y’all. I love watching you both! Thank you!!!
Beautiful, perfect cover of Don William's song. I get shivers every time I hear Chris & Morgane sing this. PERFECTION!
Awesome! Great reaction. Thank you!
She has the voice of an angel.
So glad you covered this...appreciate it!
Chill bumps in 90 degree weather from hearing these 2 angels sang !!!! Omg great reaction from yall as always
Him and his wife are amazing together!
Everything you said about Morgane is spot on, and the people get it. She was/is the catalyst behind her husbands success. The two together work PERFECTLY in harmony and in life. Morgan has the voice of an angel 😇
Love this song. They are really great together. Liked it all, but especially love her voice. Always liked hearing it by WAYLON or DON WILLIAMS..
This song always makes my eyes swell up and tears on I absolutely love it and that's beautiful as can be
First time I heard it was Waylon Jennings. Great version but Chris and Morgan nailed it! Love this song!!!
Don Williams.Class! Glad your enjoying the Great music. Give it to them Brothers and sisters 🤠🇺🇸🐎🇬🇧🥞
Her voice is haunting.
Love these two, and this song! It’s my shower song, practicing the high note Morgan hits. They really brought country back to my heart, and Tyler Childers, Colter Wall and many others!
I also love the way they look at each other
Three of the purest voices in all music regardless of genre.
Ray Price
Nat King Cole
Karen Carpenter.
This is a beautiful couple.
Sometimes I cry by Chris. You won’t believe it.
Wonderful!
Thank you!!
I’m begging for you two to react to them two singing “More of You”. You’ll enjoy it very much.
Our wedding song💗
EPIC MASTERPIECE
Asia I love Chris Stapleton as much as you! Gurl Chris and Morgan seem to be a true love she went after him when they meet he way shy or didn’t think she would be interested! Do you know they got like 5 kids he gets her pregnant every time he looks at her LOL I love them both they are true music and love!! 🌻🌻🌻
"He gets her pregnant every time he looks at her" Hahahaha!! That's a powerful look right there. She like, " Damn, Chris, Quit looking at me that way! We gonna have to put out another album to support all these kids!"
There are lots of complexities to that performance that if everyone could understand would blow peoples minds. one Mike live performance duet are rare
Morgan was seeking her own career in Nashville when they met. I heard them in an intervue and she said laughing that she stalked him. Now 5 kids later and they have the dream life. A full family and a wife/the best harmony/duet partner on earth. Who says there ain't a God. Hallelujah!
Thank you so much for reacting to this song. I just love them both. You should check out Waylon’s version. Also with his wife, Jessie Colter.
The way she looks at him though..EVERY TIME! 😍😭
Going back to some good stuff.
I had forgot about this one. So glad you enjoyed it
First time I heard the original Don Williams version in the 70s I thought I have heard the perfect country song. It was written by Bob McGill who wrote many of Dons hits, and Alabamas Song of the South.
DON WILLIAMS DID RECORD "AMANDA" FIRST IN 1973 BUT THE WRITER WAS BOB MCDILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a perfect couple
Asia, I’m with you. I love listening to Morgane.
I would love to hear you sing You Are My Sunshine like Morgane did.
NPR Tiny Desk Concert def deserves a reaction. It's only 4 songs. But there's one in particular that is a tear jerker. And it's called More of You. He is even emotional after. The way she looks at him while singing... 😭
Morgan has recorded a number of songs on her own. She has a nice voice and really provides a wonderful accompaniment for him.
The voice 😮
This song has been remade so many times. Love this and Waylon Jennings versions besr.
You should do a set of Waylon Jennings reactions. His live stuff and studio stuff are really different. He has said that it's his favorite song he has recorded.
Definitely watch "Tiny Desk series" More of You sung by Chris and Morgane Stapleton......it's Stunning!!
Waylon Jennings wrote it and recorded it with a female background voice....beautiful song then too. Don Williams also recorded a nice version of this too. This latest duo of Morgan and Chris Stapleton just rips the walls down. Ty for playihg this.

I was named after this song and grew up on the Jennings version but this is beautiful too
That is so cool good for you Amanda. It's cool that you get to hear another version to hope you're lucky enough to hear some good versions in the future
Morgane,, his wife, is awesome... country as a Turnip Green....
This is a Waylon Jennings song. I live Don Williams and I realize that this Chris Stapleton performing on a tribute to Don Williams but this song was performed by Waylon like no other!
Just two instruments, when you have voices like the Stapleton's, you don't really need any.
LOL
They have 5 children, 12, 10, twins 2 and latest is 1.
They’re married. It adds so much to the connection.
Actually Morgan does solo songs where Chris is doing background in their concerts
Check out his old band The Steeldrivers Angel of the night
Chris suffers severe stage fright, Morgane looking at him at the beginning is to help calm his nerves to stave off a panic attack....they are terrific together and you will see her on all his public performances, or at least in his eye sight...
Glas. Go. For Glasgow just letting you know, love watching youz.
I first heard this by Waylon Jennings. His version is great.
Don Williams song. He had mega hits
This is the song My mom got my name from when she had me. Wake win Dawn Williams did this song
Yeah this was a Don Williams song from the 1970's. You should check out his original version
I named my daughter after this song. She just turned 42.
Damn that’s greaat
Don Williams did this song in 1974
She is so underrated. I'm sure it's hard being Chris stapleton's wife.
Don Williams sang this too
Everyone clamours over Chris's singing but don't overlook his picking skills they are every bit as good as his singing.
Morgan's voice!
There’d be no Chris without Morgane, and I’m sure he’d be the first to say that.
Y’all need to get the Travis Tritt trilogy videos (must be the videos) great story that will bring some tears.
Oh my my my IDK if y'all remember a few days ago on your live stream I really wanted to request DON WILLIAMS....I BELIEVE IN YOU❓🧡 WELL guess who sang this very song first that Chris is performing here. None other than DON himself. I truly feel Don didn't get the appreciation he shot have.the man has a huge body if some damn greats imma telling ya lol I have always loved his music looks like maybe Chris does as well man he chills me to bone he's so dang good
Oh and yes Waylon wrote it but Don performed it btw thanks guys
everything Don Williams recorded was pure beauty. He was just as good live too. Loved him
Waylon jennings sung this also
Waylon Jennings did the original version of this. Check out some waylon when you get a chance
When they met she was seeking a solo career also.
So glad y'all reacted to this. He wouldn't be performing at all. This is a cover.
I was named after this song
I like his cover. But love both both Don Williams and Waylon Jennings versions. Y'all should check out some Don Williams.
Named after that song.
This is cover of Don Williams song with d same title
Check out the original by Don Williams.
Life should be just like this song with a man and his wife , the Bible says you are one flesh , it’s beyond a team or should be . 👍
Anyone who sings with Chris instantly becomes second fiddle. No one can give a performance like he does, other singers just lock up when they hear him, you can see their wheels spinning in their head trying to understand how he is just doing what he is just doing.
Johnny Cash and June Carter
Waylon Jennings version is very good also
Waylon done the song the best
Waylon Jennings RIP
Next to ever good man is a bad ass woman. Believe that.
Vince Gill and Patty Loveless
