Don't appreciate them cutting and censoring the Drea/Omar part.
Agreed 10000 percent
why did they????
What was cut?
@@DougOrleans Omar spent 5-10 minutes at the end of the interview talking about how bad Ponderosa was, specifically Drea mistreating him. Unfortunately I didn’t get to listen to it before someone (almost certainly CBS) told Rob to take it down, so he edited it out, presumably because contractually the contestants need permission from CBS in order to get interviewed, so Rob can’t piss the producers off.
I think there’s a transcript of the deleted part somewhere online. It didn’t make Drea look good at all but I have no idea why CBS is so against it being public.
@@megarooster99 sucks that there isn’t anymore deep dive interviews. Even on other survivor podcast like The Specialist… Drop your Buffs.. or jonny Fairplay podcast.I think things were a lot worse in ponderosa and some of the players are being protected. A lot of the players are still spending time together and posting fun videos/pics. Don’t see many with Drea, but I could of missed them
Maybe Sia should have waited a while before awarding that money to Drea.
Nope she didn't need to wait.
Drea didn’t deserve the money or the praise she got from fans, period
Sia?
Maybe CBS should stop having Sia give out money anyway (and before you mention the sprint player of the year at least there they had millions of people vote and not just some irrelevant celebrity give money)
@@entertainer_ev2747 why did sia give her money? I’m so confused
Loved this man on the show, love hearing his thoughts for 3.5 hours. Great conversation. I definitely view Drea in a different light now.
Oh god I just started and now I’m scared because I love Drea!
Same
Why? Drea was great
Holy crap 3 hours of Omar? He is definitely one of my favorite players. Thanks
Wow, Omar does SUCH a great job of drawing us into his game and have us feel like we were there. I've never had that before, where I can truly visualize someone's thought process and how they played the game through even the smallest moments, Omar knocked this interview out of the park!
Edit: and of course, ALL THE LOVE to you Omar, your ponderosa experience sounds...just terrible, and I'm so sorry
i love omar and this really helped me piece together a lot of missing parts in the show (even if it was the most well-edited season in history)! it's so unfortunate to hear about his ponderosa experience and even seeing that they haven't necessarily reconciled a year after, but hey, that's life i guess. i'm just glad omar has gotten to move past his trauma because that is legitimately quite something to have to deal with, and happy that he's happy! ^__^
hoping the best for his board exam in the fall! also super excited for omar playing with the rhap gang for goose goose duck! the bird puns will be aplenty!
Ponderosa talk starts @ 3:09:26
Thank you so much lol
Thank you!!
I guess they cut it? Weird
Yeah they cut it unfortunately
They cut it because Omar was obviously lying which is pretty low. He lied o the show and obviously kept lying after too
I’m glad that the season and Omar have had such a warm reception by the fans and community in general. I hope that helps temper some of the sour feelings from what he experienced at Ponderosa. I’m glad he was so honest about it instead of keeping it to himself and I hope the process of talking it out and unloading helps as well. It was nice to hear that Tori reached out with a letter, that really makes me appreciate her more.
Really happy to have all this Omar content, thank you! He was an amazing edition to this season
This was sooooo good!! So glad we got to get to know Omar on survivor. I could have listened so much longer!
Here is the podcast episode with Omar. Back and edited. I wonder why the Ponderosa part of the interview was cut. We deserve an explanation
@@acf5980 I am sure Drea had plenty of opportunities to speak about if she wanted to but silence is an answer in itself
ah so well spoken! loved seeing you play & hearing about your experience omar!
Drea is just blaming Omar for her mistake
I think Omar would do well on pretty much any season of survivor
After how Drea treated Tori and Romeo this rings true. Thank you Omar for ~speaking your truth~ Drea should be able to respect that since that is oh so important to her.
Drea was and still is friends with Tori and Romeo. Sit your ass down.
Amazing deep dive!!! Omar is so great. (Also, first!☺️)
Great interview! Love that Rob wore the bird shirt
Just listening to the CanadianEmu in this deep dive, he must be invited back for episode recaps in the future. Rob definitely made a great choice with this first deepdive. Would love to hear the Drea deep dive soon!
I’m so sorry Omar, you did not deserve that shit at Ponderosa. You absolutely killed it and played an amazing game. If people can’t handle their own mistakes and shortcomings, that shit’s on them!
Great interview! Would love to see him on Survivor again.
I'm starting this at 2 in the morning with no shame.
Amen
Amen
Amen
Yes!! Finally! Let the deep dives begin!
What a wonderful interview, Omar! You seem like such a lovely person. I wish I lived in Canada so we could be friends :).
God, this man is brilliant! His mastermind edit was no fluke.
Great interview! Omar was a pleasure to watch. I feel bummed that Drea and Omar had the conflict on Ponderosa as they were both so great.
I LOVED Omar ! He was my favorite to win. I sure hope he gets on another season ❤️
I feel sad about Omar for having that kind of Ponderosa experience. That is why you need to have the live finale show so that people will have more time to process things so they will know that this is just a social experiment and a game.
I am just an hour into the interview. I knew to know what happend
Screw Omar. He is obviously lying
really enjoyed omar on this season he was a really good player and a super fun villian character glad that w got a deep dive from him and hopefully omar will return for a future season
You know, I often wondered why we didn't see more of the joyous, fun side of Drea that she showed after she got voted out. I had heard from exit interviews that she was often like that, but whenever we saw her on the show she always seemed so cold and calculated. After hearing about Omar's Ponderosa experience, I wonder if the editors were trying to avoid making Drea likeable. (It worked on me)
One of the best social & strategic players ever. Canadian contestants are ridiculously good.
I loved omar. It’s really sad he had such a bad ponderosa experience. I’m glad he’s healed from it and doing well
Omar, you're awesome. Sorry you had such a terrible Ponderosa experience, but it's great to hear you're doing better now. Whitby represent! #BURDER
Well now I need Drea, Lindsey, Hai, and Mike’s deep dive interviews
Omar made this season. He was amazing.
I hope he’s willing to play again! I would love to see him back for another season
@@lilligant4368 His game only works with element of surprise. He'd get voted off early if he's ever brought back.
no he didn't
@@bradperkins1382 explain
@@bradperkins1382 He was the best
You know for all of Tori’s faults outside the show with some of her political views, she really won my respect here by being one of the view people that being gracious and kind to Omar when he was having a tough time with some of the supposed bullying he experienced. I know i might be in the minority here but i honestly be fine with a Tori return to see if she improves and is more aware next time.
All I know is I really can't stand the hangry version of her. Even on the jury she seemed like she's actually not a total gone case but oh well that's life I guess
what political views does she have? 😯
@@istrone5885 very antivax
Yeah, the whole cast has pretty much said that they loved Tori and she was really sweet.
@@obamna666 oh yikess
Love that it took 2 hour 9min for a "Mikey no likey" soundbite
Did they cut the "tea about Ponderosa" part from this interview? Seems unjustifiable
The video was removed for about a week. I heard that CBS didn't like Omar talking about what went on at Ponderosa. I assuming Rob took it down to take out the parts CBS didn't like before he could repost it.
Rob has a relationship with CBS, so I agree with Hornacek that he probably cut it per CBS request. HOWEVER, if you have some tea to spill..... come sit next to me! lol What is the tea?! 🍵
@@rebpos6519 Omar has the tea and he spilled how terrible Drea (and to a level Hai) were to him. I really feel like Rob should be keeping it in and give Omar a platform to defend himself. Unless there are actual legal reasons to cut it, he should leave it in
@@rebpos6519 I still have the audio version downloaded from when the video version was first posted. I'll have to check that out for when Omar gets to Ponderosa.
@@jhornacek get the popcorn ready. Was a lot. And I feel bad for Omar that he went through that
I loved Omar on the season! Was my favorite and I was so sad when he was voted out. He should come back on the pod and possibly back on the show???
Big fan of the show from the beginning all the people on the show are great champions
After Jackson went home I took to calling Taku "The Jacksonless Five"
Wow I completely lost all respect for Drea after this.
Hope this gets talked about as much as the in-game issue. People were very quick to judge without the full story.
What happend? I am just one hour into the interview
@@alexandraalbertz1442 it's at the end when he discusses Ponderosa.
@@alexandraalbertz1442 Near the end of the interview Omar talks about how he was treated when he went to Ponderosa. Worth listening to what he has to say.
@@rowanrollo9226 oh no.
I always was a tiny suspicious about Drea. People to fast decided to lift her up when maybe was a bit of a fabricated moment there. I am curious if it has to do with that or not
Rob, can you do a video on the what ifs/implications of the idol nullifier for S42, as well as if there was one in S41? How it changes player strategy, openness of those who hold idols, etc.
Best player of the season 🎉♥️
Omar checked all the boxes I had and if not, more. Would've loved to see him sell to the jury but oh well. Stay fly Birdman 💯
Omar, you're brilliant mate
Did they skip the whole final tribal council/after show or did I just miss it somehow?
Great interview!! #burder
Disappointed in Drea for sure. Omar didn’t the deserve the false rumors that she spread about him. Definitely looking at her differently.
Omar for all stars!
Damn, it was heartbreaking listening to Omar speak about his treatment at Ponderosa by Drea.
At the same time I don't want to jump on a Drea hatewagon because this behaviour could definitely be informed by her past experiences/has she's been treated by others (bullies are bullied themselves etc) however some of the things Omar said are horrific.
Also goes to show how the edit portrays characters not real people, Drea was seen as a hero on the show & loved, while Tori received a lot of hate & was portrayed negatively - was touching to hear that she was one of the only ones to support Omar.
Yeah, easy to throw shade while the person isn't there to defend themselves. Then the video taken down which makes it look like Omar was lying. Pretty scummy behaviour by Omar
Her past experiences don’t justify her personal attacks on Omar.
I feel extremely bad for his ponderosa experience 💕
Please get Erika the Canadian Lioness in here for a deep dive too. I just know it'll be great to listen to every aspect of the things we weren't show for the winners perspective!
I believe Erika declined
Rob C get huge props to allow Omar share Drea sickning lies in Pondarosa. Hopefully others will come out and shed more lights on what happened.
don't hold ur breath. they're probably been gagged with nda's
i'm so sorry u had a bad ponderosa experience omar i hope u have managed too heal overtime
I don’t want to but we do have to hear Drea’s side of the story so we know more information, also maybe Tori’s side
Gosh Omar you're such a beautiful person drea just doesn't want to be made a fool of so instead of respecting your move and that she made a mistake is just disturbing and I wish I could have been there to stand up for you and I'm glad tori and other people have been able to see past the game stay the way you are because you are awesome
How come theres no deep dive interview to ericka last season??
Starts about 3:04:00 for the Drea Ponderosa talk
Omg. Thank you. Thank you.
@@shannonhughes1727 I know lol. I saw a small clip on twitter about Drea and Omar but it was missing the first bit of the convo and I wanted more context so it was hard sifting through 3 hours lol. But someone else on here said about 3:05:30 but it was a bit before that that I wanted
Omar true Canadian drinking a timmies lol he's awesome
Agreed :)
Glad they learned after that Pat incident from DvG 2:00:40.
I’m curious who else was negative toward Omar in Ponderosa, he mentions Drea but also says “they”
Cute shirt Rob 😀
The thing about him lying about praying is really despicable.
Where did he say that
@@PenguinNinja45 just to clarify, it's not that he didn't pray but someone (Drea) spread rumors that he was faking it
Omar my fav !
Shouldn‘t be silenced
Agreed 10000 percent
@@acf5980 But the information and words are already out. You can't take that back anymore even if you cut the audio. So might as well have it as it originally was.
@@acf5980 they didn't censor Dan or Varner which they had reason to since varner lost his job and who knows what embarrassment Dan's son had to go through being th youngest family visit at the time and then have that tainted on national television.
You go Omar!! We all back you. Shame on drea for what she did in ponderosa
What happened! That part got cut!
I heard Hai attacked Omar as well idk if this is true
Damn the show made the jury look happy but they were going at it Ponderosa the whole time
Weird how everyone is cool with each other seemingly except Drea
Mvp of the season
Why are there only 3 comments?
The video was removed and reuploaded. Any mention of Omar’s time at ponderosa was scrubbed out.
Was cheering for Omar as a fellow Canadian, and it was devastating seeing Maryanne blindside him like that with Lindsay not playing her idol. I'll get over it..... eventually.
Nice Tim Hortons cup; you can take the boy out of Canada....
What is the Shrek statue 😭
Can we hear all sides of the jury members opinion on what was said. Omar may be telling the truth about Drea but I just don’t like assuming something to be true without hearing all sides of the situation. Like the other jury members outside of Omar & Drea.
Drea needs to clear her name and tell her story from her perspective. I’ve seen some post in reddit about this issue, it seems like Omar is the one telling the truth.
Super disappointed with rhap the information was already out no point in censoring it
CBS asked Rob to remove it. Rob has to maintain a good working relationship with CBS.
Why should this be censored now if the information is already out? Really disappointing
Exactly
Wth I was a rly big fan of drea, but the comments about faking prayer like GURLL RLY???
for those who don’t know I’m Muslim too
There are 5 prayers a day and they are based on time so you can only pray them a Certain time
If you do miss them you can pray them later which is what it seems like he did
Yes it’s a struggle to read all 5 but we still try but to say he’s faking it like?
Yes he needed to ask time because prayers are based on time..
And yet Drea gets 100,000 from Sia. Really sad.
They should ban Sia reward.
ppl got money for simply having real world "moments" and ever since, more dramatic "moments" occurred every season thereafter. it's becoming a bit too much imho
I am sorry for Omar for all that crap from D
Time stamp for the ponderosa part? 😅
Around 3:03:00
The juicy part was removed. The whole episode was down for a few days
Take SIA money back from Drea!!!
they should bring back the fan favourite money and let the fans vote. the SIA money is so controversial and seems too politically motivated
Shame on Drea. To think she was one of my favorites this season. Not anymore! Her behaviour is giving Islamophobia.
What kind of channel is this? Who edits out part of an interview because it has drama? You have no backbone, super strange thing to do.
CBS asked Rob to remove it. Rob has to maintain a good working relationship with CBS.
#burder :)
#burder
The puppet master returns!!!
I don't remember this guy.
What is THAT ANIMAL FACT??
#Burder
omar said lindsay was "the bad jewish person"...? what is that supposed to mean?
She said that about herself when Taku was talking about religion
Why did you cut out what happened to Omar at ponderosa? That’s lame dude! You took away Omar’s story that shines light on Drea and you have the ONLY podcast that “had” it. It seems like a sell out move but I don’t know the whole story. You are censoring something that in my opinion you don’t have the right to. Obviously you have the power to do so but it’s LAME!!! Just my opinion.
Cbs forced him to remove it
Because CBS wants to try to hide that Drea is a racist. @@justinpascal8332
Omar was robbed he better come back
If this is the last deep dive I’m gonna be mad at Omar. CBS is mad.
I’m 2 hours in and Omar shades Coke for Pepsie and now he’s lost me.
We need to understand that racism is awful, but the reverse racism (meaning when representatives of some minority suddenly think they are now more entitled than others) also shouldn't exist and it's equally bad.
Reverse racism isn't real.
How sad that Omar’s experience was ruined by one vitriolic person who placed racial identity above all else when considering how to interact with fellow human beings.
Evil Drea
See he knows the way he voted out Hai and Drea was harsh so you've got to expect to deal with the backlash or the bitterness that comes from that. I'm sick of everyone just saying it's a game and don't take it so personal. Man it is still personal. You build strong connections with people and think you can trust them only for them to blindside you with in Drea's case, her confiding in him and only telling him about the knowledge is power advantage - so there are going to be feelings hurt and vengeful feelings. To try and say it's just a game and remove all of the human emotion makes it a shitty game. You need the emotion, the betrayal, the bitterness for it to be worth watching
They have every right to be mad and upset at him but spreading lies about his character is crossing a line.
Ofcourse she had the right to be mad,but post show when he tried to apologise, they shouldve talked it out.Instead she decided to spread lies about him,and on topics like racism, religion and family which should never be a part of the game. That just shows how toxic she is as a person, really shitty
It's a bit unfortunate he was bullied at Ponderosa but there are consequences for how you play the game. He really didn't need to use Drea's information back on her. He definitely came across as a scheming rat and through his own betrayal of Drea, it opened up everyone else's eyes that he was a big threat and was taken out straight after. It was perfect. Maybe in future players like Omar and Sarah shouldn't look to backstab those (Drea and Sierra) who confided in them but to get to the end together and be real, not a sneaky rat
I think people like Drea should stay away from the game,if they can not take lies told inside the game, but are okay to lie OUTSIDE the game for their vindictive reasons and about topics as sensitive as race, religion and family
Shame on you Rob. You have no backbone for editing out the drama. Isn't this a reality news channel? Unsubbing b/c of this
🤞🏾
Rob has to maintain a good working relationship with CBS. They could easily decide that Rob will no longer have access to exit interviews with any of its contestants.
