I'm probably going up on the rim this weekend and then the car will be down for the rest of the month until Moab in October. I do have an event scheduled in the East Valley offroad group for a run through New River Canyon on the 26th of October.
Thank you for this video! I just finished a 2"inch body lift on my 2012 Nissan Pathfinder LE 4x4 R51 US edition using SFcreation body pucks and the only problems I ran into so far was that I have to extend my steering shaft a bit. I reccommend also disconnecting the bolts that hold the brake and fuel lines on both sides as the holes do not line up anymore for the bolts. Other than that it looks great!
With the R51 having independent suspension in the rear, you can only lift them ~2" max before you start having issues with positive camber in the rear. The solutions to that are offset bushings in the upper control arms, or do a subframe drop. The bushings are expensive and not easy, and I won't do a subframe drop because I like having as much ground clearance as possible. So IMO the best way to lift these is with a small suspension lift and an equal size body lift.
Hey man! Live the build so far. I was debating on running that iron man lift or just doing a subframe drop. What is your take on the iron man? Would you do it again? Did you have alignment issues?
I feel like the Ironman kit has sagged a little, but I can't fully confirm that. But I will be swapping it out for the All Dogs Offroad Koni kit soon. Some minor alignment issues in the rear, but as long as you stay under 2" of suspension lift you should be fine. I won't do a subframe drop because I want to keep as much ground clearance as possible.
Well done man! Excited to see it soon! Hopefully soon. Need to make another group run

J'adore les r51 🇨🇵
Je viens de m'acheter un R51 je suis oret a le modifier de la fin de semaine
nice. what does this lift helps with mainly, to fit bigger wheels?
Yo man!, can you tell me if the transmission shift handle has gotten shorter???
No it's mounted in the car and cable operated.
@@JTube571 aye thank you very much.
Are you able to still access the spare tire? Should it be removed before the body lift?
No issues with the spare.
Do I have to upgrade my upper arms?
@@shacruick1126 not for a body lift, no.
Hey dude I’m sure you answered this before, but whats the sixe offset are your wheels and what tyres are you running?
These ones are the AllDogsOffroad wheels, 16x8 +10 I believe. 285/75 tire. I just changed wheels though.
How long did it take you? Looks pretty simple install.
@rosssnavely7307 not bad. 5 hours with limited work space and filming.
can i install this on a all stock r51
@@Fernandoaguad-s1s yes, no problems.
hey, thanks for the video. Did you do all this without a lift or how did you get the body up?
@@jansix1825 used a jack and a piece of wood. Was barely enough.
@@JTube571 ok thank you. Do you know if you have to extend any cables or something similar at the switch
@@jansix1825 nothing additional needed that wasn't covered here.
Newbie question... What is the reason for the body lift? Pros and cons? Stress on CV joints?

Nicely done sir 👌. I've been holding it off with the lift. How and what was the condition of the frame bolts?
@@4x4AUTOBOT good on mine. Low mileage and thankfully didn't spend much time up north.
@@JTube571 glad to hear, hopefully mine is good too.
