- A convicted killer and drug dealer has been jailed in the same week the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) seized his county Cork home.
John ‘Keith’ O’Donovan’s run of bad luck saw CAB granted a High Court order to have his house declared the proceeds of crime - just days before he added to his 51 criminal convictions.
Nicola speaks to Eamon Dillon about the mid-level Cork criminal described as one of the region's most prolific heroin suppliers to the city.

I’m Keiths brother and I’m disgusted and amazed that you called him one of the biggest heroin dealers in cork which is total bs, he has no previous convictions for drugs until he got shot not accidentally by the way, the guard jumped on the bonnet of the car n shot without any warning into the windscreen and was hit on his left shoulder, he could of been killed only for he shifted his body to the right when he was lifting the handbrake up to stop the car, the passenger had some contraband n was sentenced for that , they found a few tablets from the internet in the house and money in d attic which was taken out of the credit union, both of ye dragging his name through the dirt saying what’s only hearsay and not true, how can you call yourself a journalist when your telling lies on your podcast Nicola, you’re a disgrace to Irish journalism and I would be happy to go on the podcast and sit with you and give you the full story right from the beginning of how the guard’s treated our family and have done for almost four decades , if you want I’d love to put it straight, hope to hear from you soon Nicola

It's uneducated people like you that probably do coke and that's alrite because it's socially acceptable, I obviously don't no ur age but I'm 46 and Heroin was the main drug in the 80s specially Dublin, Then the dance scene kicked off and a knew generation got strung out including me.. Now I was brought up in gud home I wasn't dragged up.. Drugs don't care were ur from and every addict is someone's Son or Daughter, I hope it never comes to ur doorstep with a family member but don't ever think it could or would never happen I thought I'd never go near that crap but wrong place wrong time then thinking it won't get a hold of me... Away from all that now thankfully and one more thing not every addict is a scumbag who snatches handbags or watever, I always worked I was a functioning addict until I did lose my job because of drugs that was my rock bottom.. Just remember when ur slagging off addicts that it could come knocking on ur door or someone close to you..

Im from Midleton and met him when he was a lad, He seemed a decent and was grand with me.
Im a lot older but am surprised everytime i met he was good with me.
I done time with him in portloase prison , only last year . I found him to a sound guy , but not a guy u wouldn't want to mess with
He was moved to the block about 2 months ago after he had a small fight at the servery rumoured he was moved back to Cork
