Always a pleasure to listen to Sir David. He makes us explore ideas that we had hitherto not contemplated and somehow succeeds in making them all sound like they are blindingly obvious, such is his talent for communicating. Kind, wise and passionate, an example to us all. Thank you for sharing these extracts with those of us who were not fortunate enough to have been able to be in the audience.

+Rick Simpson I adore Sir David Attenborough. He is for the natural science what Carl Sagan was for the cosmology.

Not familiar with Carl Sagan, or at least I wasn't until now. Googled him and I see your point entirely, thanks, I'll read more.

    Dear Mr. Sir David Attenborough:
I just like to express my heartfelt admiration and gratitude to you. I have been eagerly watching and enjoying your documentary videos since I was 10 years old. Your god’s giving unique style, body language and knowledge to showcasing various characteristics of animals, species and their roles in the mutual interconnection system is really remarkable. I believe you are one of those chosen to do so. As a Muslim, I strongly believe that ALLAH Almighty is the creator, the keeper of the whole universe and everything else it it. No other associates nor partners with him. Consequently, must be solely worshipped, feared and given all credit ,acknowledgment and gratitude. I know that you aren’t a religious man as you stated in one of your TV interviews, but in my opinion you don’t have to be a religious to give credit to God. Just let nature’s instincts kick.
We all going to die sooner or later. As a Muslim, I believe in judgement day as well as the
    eternal life after death. (Another
life). I also believe that we all going to meet God almighty individually and therefore we will be held accountable for our actions. And everyone will get a fair return for good or bad behaviors. In conclusion, I would like you put all our religion and cultural differences aside and think this matter over. What if I was telling you was true? And that you were convinced and embraced Islam, therefor you will be one those lucky survivors in the other eternal life. Now It’s up to you sir.
Because I like you very much, I strongly feel obligated to inform you that. I wish you all the best.
I will keep watching, enjoying your documentary videos no matter what your response is.
    Best regards.
    Youssif Jassim

@@UniversityLeicester I have followed Bates steps from my hometown of Santarem into the Cupari river where he had observed and collected Hyacinth Macias among many other species. I saw Hyacinth Macias as well but for my surprise I found a large group of Golden Parakeets. How come he didn't see these? They were the most costly species in the XIX.
