Asus ROG PHONE models always amaze me with their engineering and in this case the logic is a smaller thing accompanied by two batteries thanks for the demonstration
Honestly this is the best video I've found so far of pulling this phone apart but it was terrible you only did the main centre motherboard not the top or bottom PCB structures wouldn't even let the camera focus on the pieces you tried to show people and then put it back together incorrectly hence why it didn't start at the end

do you need glue when you putt the back cover back on ? and if yes, wich glue shold i buy?
My ROOG 5 Ultimate has faulty charging port, the one that is in the middle of the longer edge of the phone you use while gaming. How hard it is to replace this port? Do you need to replace the entire motherboard? Is this malfunction common? When I called the Asus technical line they said I need to replace the motherboard and seemed to know which chrging port was damaged before I even said it. That makes me think its a common issue or designed flaw for a costly repair.
One of the wire connector by the battery clips on but pups back off the socket. Can some type of glue be used to hold it down till I put the back back on.
I dropped my phone and after that I can't hear on phone calls only loud speaker also my front camera isn't working it won't let me select it at all, do you reckon a cable has come lose or I've damages a chip. If it's just a cable I was thinking maybe taking it apart to fix it myself?

Thanks for the good video! You might want to change the thermal paste, mine went in geekbench 5.1 from 3095 to 3580 multi core score after doing so.

@@massimoo1951 Hi, i have used Zezzio ZT-GX from aliexpress, but every high end paste will do. I applied it everywhere where the blue stuff was. I also went back to android 11 as the phone does not get hot anymore. Android 12 got nerfed by asus. It now gives 1124 single core and 3719 multi score.

i need to replace my display and also my right trigger is kind of glitchy. I was thinking of buying a new display with the frame. do you know if the the capacative triggers come on the frame or is that something i have to transfer from the old phone?

@@kilamayt597 Hi yes the capacative triggers have always been preinstalled on new screens with frame from ali. The sensor is glued in the frame and cannot get replaced on its own. There should already be connectors for them in the new frame.

It is necessary and you might find it easier to also remove the bottom board as well, which he did not show.

May sound dumb but I think one of them ribbens may have popped out from dropping a lot. It powers the sim card 2. Or something is loose. Won't know until I popped this sucker open. But the sim card to comes back after restarting and after put a little pressure in the area of ridden clips in the center.
this seems to have happened to so many of the phone 5 that i wouldnt be surprised if there is a class action against Asus because of this

Yes the motherboard needs to be removed to change the battery, but you should change the thermal paste anyways as asus did a horrible job. Mine scored 3095 in geekbench 5.1, and now gives 3580 multi core score. In 3dmark wildlife test it says mine is doing better then 100% of the other rog phone 5 in the world. If it does not overheat constantly the battery will last longer.

@@antimatter85 Zezzio ZT-GX from aliexpress. Going back to android 11 from 12 and fiddling around with the armory crate overclock settings it now gives a single core score of 1134 and multi 3762 in geekbench.
