Thank you for not including the tamping down of every tent stake, or 4 minutes of chopping wood!! The scenery was awesome. I have to say, when you did a shot of the pup when you were setting up, I could only imagine him going: "Just set the thing up, I have things freezing here!!" The steaks looked terrific! (Glad I just got through eating breakfast).
I've got to say I've never seen anyone cook a fire log before haha. I love how your always cooking. Gives me some ideas of what to do next time I'm out
Hello! Nice choice for a companion! Love those boxer dogs. Ive been canoe camping for over 70 years and still cant get enough. Greetings from Perth Ontario.
Nice job, looked like a good trip. I just started my camping UA-cam channel this past summer and now I am planning my first winter camping trip so thanks for the motivation. Keep up the good work.
Why do you camping people never tell where you are? You don't have to say the exact location, but a general area would be nice! Good dog. When you showed the dog while setting up I thought of that dog saying, "hurry up already! I'm getting wet here and it's Cold!!". He just had that look on his face!
Nice hot tent Ron! It's ironic that I was just looking at their tents and stoves! I may have some questions for ya. Thanks for sharing. Looks like winter will be a bit more fun this season!
This tent does not have a floor. However, it does have an inner tent sold separately which does have the floor. Since I'm using the stove inside the tent, we can't use the inner tent since it doesn't have a stove Jack. In the future, I think I'll be buying a bathtub type floor to use for hot tent winter camping. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this great video! I have a couple of questions - 1) how heavy was all the gear? Was it all in the yellow back pack? 2) what did you sleep on? I am just wondering how you kept the ground cold from seeping into your bones in the night! 3) how heavy is the stove itself?
Hi there, The tent is about 15lbs and the stove with all the pipes and water tank is about 27 pounds. No all the gear did not fit in the yellow pack. We were about 500 metres to the car so we just made several trips. Once the snow stays, we use sleds to move the gear. For this trip we slept on therma rests on the ground. For colder hot tent camping trips we use cots. I'll do a video next time showing our sleep setup. Thanks for watching! Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
Hi there. The frying pan is GSI Bugaboo 10" Square Frypan. Not sure the size and brand of the pot. it's about 25 years old at this point though!. Thanks for watching TCC!
the water heater didn't produce much steam at all that we noticed. the tent doesn't have a floor, so the there is plenty of moisture from the wet ground to create steam and condensation.

Yup I'm on my 4th boxer. Most of my camping videos have at least one boxer in it. Cheers TCC!

Great video, those steaks looked delicious. I'm waiting on my Manta tent to arrive anytime now. I like that stove, nice
I'm sure you'll love the tent. Will you be using a stove in the tent?
@@TheCampingCanuck I'm probably going to try a sportsman's guide iron stove or maybe make one . I'm still looking though lol
@@TheCampingCanuck that stove you have is a great package at a great price, too bad they are sold out.
@@josephthennes4656 yeah hopefully the stove is back in stock soon.

Looks nice and comfy. No sign of a snowstorm though. It was all coming down vertically, not horizontally.
Hopefully next time snow falls sideways? Thanks for watching

That was exactly what she was thinking. Her favorite part about hot tent camping is being warm and cozy inside the tent 😄

Why does your tent not have a ground sheet built in, or at least have a separate one ,it doesn't look very warm with just the grass in your tent .

Quick question...who got the other steak?
There was two of us!. I set up camp by myself. My newphew drove down and joined me after he was done work.
@@TheCampingCanuck Nice!
Too loving you 😙💞😙💞😙💞
Awesome. Thanks for watching
What kind of rub did you use on the steaks? Looked soooooo tasty!
I believe it was salt pepper and Tyme. And yes they were excellent
Oh look throw away jamies. Poor Boxer needs his own sleeping bag like my Hope's (downfill).
She does need her own sleeping bag!
Nice🇧🇩🙋♂️💞

What’s the material in your tent..seems like heavier product than most.?
Good video.👍
Hi there. The hot tent fabric is made of 300D Oxford Cloth with silver coated layer. Cheers!

Great tent and stove! Did you throttle back the heat as I was hoping it be warmer than 21 degrees as we haven't hit the cold yet?
Oh yeah we kept it down most of the time
It will be interesting to see how the tent and stove performs when it's -20. Find out soon enough!
❤❤❤
Thanks!
7:52 anyone else wondering who closed the door?
👍👍👍👍👍

Hey Lughead you forgot to feed the dog LOL
She always get fed... eventually
looks like it was a lovely outing.j Is the water heater on the stove well sealed? i.e. no steam in the tent?
the water heater didn't produce much steam at all that we noticed. the tent doesn't have a floor, so the there is plenty of moisture from the wet ground to create steam and condensation.
Snow Storm?? :)

Yeah when we have deep snow,. I use wooden stakes instead of the aluminum ones.
Do you find the damper makes a difference on the stove?
Yeah it helps alot. Especially when the stove is really full.
I'll film the stove more nest time and show the difference when the flue and damper are open and closed.
@@TheCampingCanuck I have a stove that looks very similar (outbacker firebox ) but it has no damper on the flue.
I hear no talking about things
Stake looked like a rubber sandal
It was the best rubber sandal I've ever eaten!
Location not beautiful otherwise your camping top class please select green grass area or forest type
