I just wanted to thank you for responding so quickly to my questions. I really appreciate it and thank you again I look forward to more of your useful videos
Thank you so much! These are wonderful to make for all occasions. You can even make these WITH your grandkids! I appreciate your watching my video. I've got several tutorials now, but plan to a few more next week. Check back for more sparkly adventures as I try to improve my video skills. hahaha
Aw, thanks so much! This was a fun project and I love making these for all sorts of occasions. This video was way before I knew how to film and edit, so it's rough...but it's a great gift idea and super easy to make. Sparkle on!
I've actually made 2 more since doing this video. My 2nd one I made using larger Tootsie Roll Pops which was alot heavier. I used an actual vase instead of cupcake stand. It was a clear acrylic vase and I was able to choose the color of tissue paper to put down in that and it was very pretty. I thought it turned out well and it spiced it up.
congratulations on this great video... super high view count!!! Good for you! Ive always wanted to know how to make on of these... super cute for my kids teachers gifts... well done my Sparkly friend
This was one of my ickiest filmed videos back in the first of the channel, but it took off and to this day is responsible for the bulk of my views. My other videos have not been quite that blessed. Not even the cats. lol. Thanks for watching, sweet friend!
Thank you so much, Jasmine! I am slowly but surely making more as I get better with recording and editing these things. The biggest thing is getting TIME to make them and edit while working and going to school. Where are those minutes in the day going? hahaha. Thanks for watching!
Temple Faith You can use any sort of suckers you choose, I liked the Dum-Dums for this design. I also have a Tootsie roll design which was cute. I've also posted a chocolate Christmas tree and lollipop sundaes in ice cream dishes, if you'd like to watch those videos. Check them out. Thanks again for watching! Merry sparkly Christmas!
Very Nice, but I believe a few glue dots would keep it from tipping out if moved around and it wouldn't hurt the holder. Mr. Blinky is sooooooooooo adorable.......:)
Aw, thank you so much for watching this. I love making this kind of stuff for friends and family. I've added more videos for other goodies, so check those out, too. The soda pop candy bouquet is another cool idea.
Thanks so much! I think it is such a creative way to spice up a party gift or themed table with candy! So versatile in the way you can decorate these, too! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Happy holidays to you!
Sparkle by Monica Monica, I decided to make this topiary for a small baby shower luncheon for my girlfriend. I used a pink plastic Margarita cup because my local party store did not have the individual cupcake stands (oriental trading). Anyway, I received great reviews from my girlfriends and some others who were in the restaurant where we had our shower luncheon. It was really easy and quick to make. Yes, use your Michael's coupon for the styrofoam ball they cost $4-5.
Great news!! So glad everyone enjoyed them! And yes, vases, margarita glasses, cupcake stands, or just about anything you want that can act as a base will be great! Definitely use those coupons! hehehe. I was just at Michael's today and saved 25% off everything sale and regular price for Memorial Day! Yay!
lol. This was one of my oldest videos and it just happened to get trended back then. Still one of my main views generators though...as retro and raw as it is. Sadly. I need to find another super star video. lol. Thanks for stopping by!
lol. This was an old candy bouquet tutorial at the very start of my channel, but it really got noticed. The views have dwindled considerably the last 2 years though. lol. Thanks!
No Problem :)) I was trying to find ideas of what to make for my boyfriend haha, but I'll make this some day for my nieces birthday. I absolutely love this.
Hi there! Unfortunately, they no longer sell the colorful ones that I bought at Oriental Trading so long ago, but they do have some clear cupcake pedestals at Amazon. amzn.to/3UeNRKl (my Amazon affiliate link) Sparkle on!
Hi, Evelyn. Thanks so much! I actually use several different video and picture editing softwares, but for this video which was my very first one...I just used Windows Movie Maker. I used my iPhone to take most of the shots in this video, so that's why some of it is blurry...as it was the first time I was going to try a video. hahaha. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Now that I've done a few more videos, I like to use a few other services like Animoto, One True Media and Kizoa for added special effects help once I'm done in movie maker. It's a process! hehe. Please watch my other videos and let me know what you think of them. I think I've greatly improved the way I shoot the shots now, but I've got a long way to go. hahaha.
lol. You're a "RAY" of sunshine, my friend! lol. See what I did there? lol. I appreciate your watching. This is one from the very beginning which got most of my audience and views a long time ago plus a few other videos that did well. Then after those few, even though most all the ones later ones have drastic improvement in lighting, filming angles, sound...the newer ones don't get even 100 views. lol. Go figure. Still, it's fun to post what I make here and if anyone actually organically searches and finds me and enjoys it...that's all I can ask for, right? Whether that is 2 views or 200! lol. I'm happy as a sparkly beaded clam! lol. Thank you again for watching!
Hi, Michele. I responded to Samantha, but I wanted to copy you as well in case you didn't see that response with the links. I really appreciate your viewing my video! Thanks so much for watching my video! I get my cupcake stands online at Oriental Trading Company. They cost $10 per dozen and you can get either color or clear. Here's a link to the colored ones: www.orientaltrading.com/colored-cupcake-pedestals-a2-3_3829-12-1.fltr?Ntt=plastic%20cupcake%20stands The clear ones would be nice for a wedding or if you prefer to just have the color happening at the top with the suckers. Thanks so much for commenting! Yes, any occasion or theme is a great use for these. You can do all pinks or blues, depending on gender or do a mix of both for a gender reveal party with multiple bouquets. So many options. I love making candy bouquets of all sorts. My other video where I'm making these as ice cream sundae bouquets are even great get well gifts or for birthdays. Thanks so much for watching!
@@SparkleByMonica I saw the sundae ones beautiful too. Well it's a girl, due in May and she wants wants a canyland theme SHOWER so... I thought this was prefect for a centerpiece on the tables 🤗🤗. I'm watching more of your work thank you for responding and I became an subscribed member too

Hi this really pretty and I'd like to make it for my daughter's birthday but they don't have those cupcake stand and Mike restores I tried Joanns and I tried to Michaels and AC Moore I haven't seen anything like them where did you get them? Can you order them online? Thank you
Hi, Ann. I responded to some earlier peeps on that. Please check out my links in the description bar for Oriental Trading which takes you right to them. They have multi-color or the clear stands. Thanks so much for watching. So glad you're going to make one. They are great fun. If you don't want to buy the cupcake stand, you can also use a Dollar Store vase as an alternative.
Thanks so much as I read down I realized you already answered that question. sorry about that I appreciate you getting back to me so quickly can't wait to give this a try thank you so much!
Ann Healey You're very welcome, Ann! Be sure to follow me over at Google+ and share with me a picture if you do one. I'd love to see it! I'm also at Twitter and Facebook. Links to my places are all at my website: www.sparklebymonica.com. Good luck on yours!
Hi, Sheila. I've got the links in the video description for both the colorful holders and the plain ones through Oriental Trading. You can also check out the Dollar Stores in your area for vases or cupcake stands. Hope that helps. I'm sure you'll make something lovely!
Just an idea. Can't you just use a champagne glass instead. Just to save some money. Especially, if you're making many of them for center pieces? Like I said, just an idea. Live your work!!!
You sure could, depending on the size of the foam ball and amount if weight in the suckers you want. As mentioned in the video, you can really use anything as long as it will not topple over and fits the vibe you need. Thanks for watching!
Ashley Robinson Hi, Ashley. I got the butterflies at Michael's craft store in the birthday section where they have the various colors of party decor and Quinceanera stuff. Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for watching! lol. Yes, this was my very first set of videos back when the channel began a few years ago now. I have greatly improved my editing now, but still have more to learn. Always learning. lol.
Hi, Andrew. This Lollipop topiary tree was made for a birthday theme, so the song is "Happy Birthday Rag" by Vicky Down & his Rag Band which is also noted in the credits at the end of the video, if you need them again. For Christmas music, you might want to watch my Candy Christmas Tree video. Thanks for watching!
+Kennya Aw, congratulations!! Yes! A 3 inch foam ball will be even better on those plastic cupcake stands because it will be less top heavy. Alternatively, you can use a glass vase from the Dollar Tree. I noticed they have all sorts of colored glass vases there at my location in Texas. So if you don't want to use the plastic cupcake stands...you can select any sort of vase with a wide enough opening to sort of "cup" the underneath of the foam ball. That way it will rest easy. Good luck on your shower and share a pic with me at Instagram using #sparklebymonica so I can see it!!
Hi, Kevin. You can use multiple items and colors with a Dum-Dum lollipop topiary, that is the point. It's fun. Cupcake stands are what is trending for these right now, but you are welcome to use vases, which I've also done and they are great! The goal is whatever you like or the recipient of your gift. Thanks for watching! Have a great weekend.
It sure can! The idea being that since Blow Pops are so much larger and heavier than those smaller Dum Dum's, you'll be using less suckers, but you want to have a heavier base to support the weight. I made another one of these using Tootsie Roll Pops. I believe I used about 100 of those. Instead of a cupcake stand though, I used an acrylic vase from the dollar store which flared out at the top. I put some colored tissue paper in the vase as a pretty filler. It worked beautifully! For heavier sucker balls, you may want to consider a stream of hot glue around the lip of your base and rest the ball on top of that. If the intent is not for them to re-use that container, it will be just fine to have the glued ball to the base. Hope that helps! I'll post a pic of the Tootsie Roll Pop one over at my Google Plus page if you want to see it. Thanks for sharing my videos and commenting! I really appreciate it! My website: www.sparklebymonica.com . Happy holidays!

You can also use the hashtag in addition to tagging my profiles at Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest: #SparkleByMonica. Glad you found the video and info handy. Can't wait to see yours!
LilJosieLeAnn You did such a great job!! That was a mammoth topiary with 500 lollipops! Hopefully your cupcake stand could hold that weight. Mine was 150 lollipops and I know it would not withstand 500. hahaha! I liked and commented on yours at Instagram. Thanks so much for tagging me and letting me see your beautiful topiary!!! They are going to love it!
So cute... however.. I always hate the background music... it's so annoying and does not let e concentrate and hear what the people are saying very well.
Yes, it would be great for a candy buffet! A Valentine theme would be cool next month with pink and red lollies! Thanks for sharing my video!! I appreciate it.
Hello again, Kourtney. Well, as I said in the video and description...this was my very first video. I'm sure whenever you do something for the very first time...you have things you learn to do better as well. Right? Thanks for checking out my video though. You should make one, they are a lot of fun and people love to receive these as gifts.
Hi, Irma.hahaha. I sure do. That is why I have an alternate short version which is linked in the drop down of the long video. You should check that out if your patience level is running low. Here's the link again for you. @TFcnYnRZ7i0 Have a great Easter weekend!

very cute if you are worried about your foam ball showing ya can always wrap it in tissue paper

LilJosieLeAnn Yay! When you make yours, be sure to tag me Sparkle by Monica if you post online so I can see what you made. You can also use the hashtag in addition to tagging my profiles at Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest: #SparkleByMonica. Glad you found the video and info handy. Can't wait to see yours!
:-) Ok!
Sparkle by Monica I finally finished it and posted it on instagram and tagged you!
Hola
Hello, Yvelisse. ¿Cómo estás?

Candy buffet
Yes, it would be great for a candy buffet! A Valentine theme would be cool next month with pink and red lollies! Thanks for sharing my video!! I appreciate it.
It's not suckers it's lollipops
Hi, Kourtney. I actually refer to them as suckers and lollipops throughout the video. Thanks for watching.
The video would be better if u didn't talk so much and state the obvious every 2 seconds
Hello again, Kourtney. Well, as I said in the video and description...this was my very first video. I'm sure whenever you do something for the very first time...you have things you learn to do better as well. Right? Thanks for checking out my video though. You should make one, they are a lot of fun and people love to receive these as gifts.
Ok but it was actually a really good idea m I thought it was cool though
YOU TALK TOO MUCH!!!
Hi, Irma.hahaha. I sure do. That is why I have an alternate short version which is linked in the drop down of the long video. You should check that out if your patience level is running low. Here's the link again for you. @TFcnYnRZ7i0 Have a great Easter weekend!
