@@ES-DE_Frontend No problem! By the way, the "es-dwee" theme isn't working. I've tried all of them, and this is the only one that shows nothing, just black screens with no artwork
@@ES-DE_Frontend Another follow-up on that previous note. The "es-dwee" theme isn't working in both the windows and android versions. When applied, it just gives the blank empty/default theme with no graphics
How can I add games on es-ds to my steam library so I dont have to go into es-ds every time I want to play a game I have? I've been trying to figure it out or word it correctly, but so far, nothing. Thanks again
Hey! Is there a way to have 2 es-de rom directories in 2 different drives? I'm on android, my sd card is filled but my phone's internal storage is empty and unused. I was wondering if there's a way to have another content directory.
Thank you. Can you do a video about how to integrate some emulators in ESDE (for instance, Speccy for ZX Spectrum)? And second thing, can you create an "accesibility" function (like the one from RetroArch) for people wiith eyes problems? Thank you.
we may do some emulator specific videos in the future - thinking through the scope as a given emulator may have different set up needs depending on the platform. so not sure yet but we’ll consider it. and regarding accessibility features we will look into text-to-speech as a first option. research is being done here: gitlab.com/es-de/emulationstation-de/-/issues/1344
If you "delete" the rom and meta data does the rom get permanently deleted or is it moved to a cleanup folder? I noticed on Windows the rom file wasn't moved to the recycle bin. Thanks
@@ES-DE_Frontend Thanks this is super helpful. On a side note could I request adding .LYX file extension to the Atari Lynx? RetroArch's Beetle Lynx does not accept .zip and as ES-DE doesn't have the extension listed in the systeminfo.txt my roms currently won't display.
was checking out the beetle lynx documentation just now and it lists the extensions of .lnx and .o as supported (and good news us both of those extensions are handled by es-de). i didn’t see an extension in their documentation for .lyx though. was looking here: docs.libretro.com/library/beetle_lynx/
@@ES-DE_Frontend Hi thanks for the reply. No-Intro Lynx is in .lyx format for retail games, (the no intro .lnx is an entirely different set). Handy's latest version on their official website is 0.90 but there's actually a 0.97 (that mainly fixed an audio issue) from 2016 which Retroarch also updated to. I'm not sure when .lyx support was added but I just double checked now and Handy on Retroarch plays .lyx with no issue. Alternatively, (which I ended up doing) was converting .lyx to .lnx but if we have .lyx added to ES-DE this step wouldn't be needed to view our games in ES-DE. I think this is an undocumented change from the original authors since it's from so long ago now, but who knows. Ultimately it's a relatively minor thing for an obscure handheld these days.
ES-DE can display triforce games on devices where a triforce emulator is available. You would need to make sure an emulator is set up to play the games separately from ES-DE.
Really useful as I need to do some spring cleaning!
Multilingual menu are a must
thank you we agree too, localization support will be the big feature in our next release.
Thank you for the update and everything! Got the email. ^_^ Edit: Can cleanup orphaned data on the Odin 1, now. ^_^ Thanks!
Nice video! Btw which theme is that? It looks so simple and clean, I love it.
That one is "Retro Mega (Revisited)". It's available in the theme downloader
thank you for the assist @bundangkorea!

sorry that is not something we handle from es-de

yes using the delete action in the game edit menu will permanently delete the game from your filesystem.
