Magic Shop was written and produced by Jungkook, the youngest member of their group.
Jungkook: I wrote this song for our fans. Since it’s a fan song, it didn’t really feel like working but it’s a song that contains how I feel and how I love our fans. There were some things that RM hyung said during concert. He said “ if it’s you who found us and Acknowledged us, you can do it too” I started this song based on these words. It’s a song that tells, if you are tired and weary from reality, you open the door inside your mind and there will be Magic Shop and inside of it, there will be 7 of us who’ll give that strength for you. I wrote this to dedicate to our fans. It would make us very happy if a lot of people gain strength and be comforted through our song. When you feel tired and down, please visit Magic Shop. (Smiles)

about suga being very open and honest with his lyrics: the last is such a personal and heartbreaking song from yoongi's album... it's also one of my favs since he opened up so much about his struggles and i can relate to them even when they're written very directly about him and his life
You're not wrong about the crying. I kept my composure right up until this song two nights running in Chicago. Then it was like oh snap, who brought onions to a BTS concert??? It's because you know, you one thousand percent understand in your soul that each and every one of them means every single word. They want to be our comfort, to be our solace, to be our place of safety and rejuvenation. We don't deserve them, but they do their best to convince us that we do.

Yeah totally, I would love that too. But I think it's a little early for that. Coz there's a lot of references and inside jokes that only armys who've been here for a long time or at least those who have seen everything related to BTS will understand. Otherwise it won't be as funny.

one thing I love about Bts being 7 is that when one of them is a main songwriter/composer of a song, you can just tell because their personality shines through. JK truly poured so much love into this song 💜

They made a VCR skit for their 5th Muster (fan meeting) on the theme of Magic Shop, and enacting the story of JK as ARMY seeking comfort in the therapy of a “magic shop”. It is HILARIOUS. You can google it, although it has been taken off YT many times, as it is paid content.
I love how you truly understand the boys and how genuine and vulnerable they are. Not everyone believes the bond between BTS and ARMY, but you clearly do and I just want to say thank you for your beautiful and genuine reactions!

When I first looked up the lyrics for this the tears just poured out of me. V is my bias, his bridge which conveys such soul and pain absolutely destroys me. Suga is my second bias and his verse like every verse just opens his heart wide and lets you see all of him. And all the others are my bias wreckers and just hit me right in the feels. Agreed, favourite song and a big warm hug when you need it. Which is exactly what it's supposed to be.

one of my favorite live song of BTS ! It's impossible not to get emotional ...Every time I feel sad, I listen to this song, and finish with a big smile.
This is also one of my most favorite songs of all time. It saved me countless of times during my low times. I remember when antis laughed at the beautiful lyrics "you gave me the best of me, so you'll give you the best of you" saying that the lyrics were wrong, like it should have been so I'll give you the best of you or some other variation. They didn't know or try to understand the power of that lyrics which is just so sad.

For BTS Festa 2020, JK wrote a solo song for Armys 'Still With You' and released it on soundcloud. It's one of the most beautiful all rounded songs out there. Also the Magic Show reference gives u a good insite to Fake Love, once u get there, it might be too soon tomention it but when u get to Fake Love i do suggest u also watch the teasers cuz it will make more sence☺️

PD: About the rap lyrics, usually (if not always) the rapline themselves write their own verses (that's why the 3 of them are most of the time on the credits). Still, Kookie was in everything, from coming up with the idea to writing and producing.

Yayyyy! This song is amazing. Also, I love that you are one of the rare reactors that look at their credit (written and produced) list. It should be a reminder to people that BTS are involved significantly in their own music, that the members usually give input for each other’s works, and it gives credit where credit is due.

Magic Shop, Zero O' Clock, 2! 3! and Mikrokosmos are my go-to songs whenever I feel down. These songs never fail to cheer me up. BTS loves ARMY so much for them to give us songs such as these.
The author that wrote the book was so happy when this song came out. Not only because his book into the magic shop become a number one best seller but as he said people were able to get the psychological help they needed through BTS. Magic shop is also my favourite BTS song. 💜
I also like how much they talk in the lyrics about 'opening the door' given that the BTS and ARMY logo are a door.

this is one of my top 10 songs, it's so so beautiful and i'm so grateful for JK producing and creating this it and they all sound so great on it. my favourite part is hobi's - it's so short but the melody and lyrics are so lovely. just an fyi, for almost all songs the rap line write their own raps.
The rappers usually write their own verses, but yes jungkook did very well with this song

I often heard people say that you find BTS when you most need them. I found them in March last year when I was in a heavy depressive episode and when I dealt with a lot of suicidal thoughts. I listened to Magic Shop about 20 times a day because it gave me so much comfort. As far as I'm concerned Magic Shop and BTS in general are one of the reasons I'm alive. This song just means a lot to me.
