Beavers were hunted to almost extinction here in the West

I am so excited. After trying for 7 years, we finally captured our first beaver on our trail camera. Along the Poudre River in Greeley. Beavers are vital to a healthy eco system. Watch how hard this animal is working to drag its cut pieces of logs and branches to the river. You can hear some of the plunging as it disappears into the water.

We have not found a den yet. Not sure if he is around that part of the river or if he travels far. Most of the river is privately owned along there. Thank you for watching.
