    Durable, breathable, and uniquely textured, linen sheets are woven from thick flax stalks and are a great option for hot sleepers due to their low thread count and moisture-wicking properties. Cotton sheets typically feel softer and smoother than linen sheets, although these characteristics can differ based on the type of cotton and weave style used in the sheets.
    Both linens and cottons are relatively easy to care for and tend to be eco-friendly. While linens are hypoallergenic and great for hot sleepers, they can be pricier than cotton sheets. Cotton sheets tend to be more accessible and usually offer more variety in color and design choices. The better choice for you ultimately comes down to personal preference!

    I love soft Egyptian cotton. Its so comfortable and soooo soft and soooo cool/cold😍 I bought some linen two months ago and I was allergic to it. Started developing dry patches on my eyelids 🫣 Put my cotton sheet back on and my eyes are back to normal 🌚
    I do feel like my cotton sheet has lasted along time more so than the linen which ive had two months.

    I got cotton and linen sheets lol, 45 cotton 55 linen. Love the feel. My kinda sheets. Washing them now gona see how they are tonight on my purple mattress!! Seen reviews that linen can be itchy but it depends I think.

    Hi there, I have a rather odd question. I’m kinda strange, I do not like bedsheets/bed covers. I do not sleep under my sheets, it’s too cumbersome to me and I get way too hot under covers lol. So I usually just use a bedsheet and I try to never move it, however they’re super flimsy, always come undone at the edges and just look sloppy. Is there any bed set or invention you think would work best for me, a person who just likes sleeping on top of a bed. Preferably a bedsheet that’s one and done, never need to adjust or make the bed

    Where does muslin figure into this? Thanks.

    • @maweekuh5115
      @maweekuh5115 Рік тому

      muslin fits into the cotton variety of sheets, considering its just a type of weave made from cotton! the specific weave of muslin cotton makes it pretty light & airy, but i honestly haven't seen bedsheets made with the muslin weave before- at least not in stores. i see blankets/comforters/duvet covers, but not bedsheets. cotton sheets are typically percale or sateen, but you might be able to find muslin bedsheets through etsy or something! and ymmv, but i imagine muslin sheets wouldn't be great for longevity purposes because of the texture- kinda gauze like and potentially very thin so prone to rips and tearing.

    Linen and sateen are the best. I also love silk but as I get older I sweat more in my sleep and I noticed it’s worse with the silk. I generally use jersey sheets in winter.

      I love proper mulberry silk too. I’m Trying to find something as soft and smooth as silk that doesn’t over heat or that is not too cold when you first get in to bed.

    It irritates me when people call cotton linen to make their towels sound fancier then they are it's a way of bulshitting to sound like they spend more then they do.

      @@marcole4221 well, I'd get lyocel, bamboo and tencel. Soft and silk like. Breathable and moisture wicking. I heard linen tears easily and lots of lint in wash. Apparantly it goes away but idk I had 2 linen pairs of pants. Both tore in a month of wearing. Only the expensive linen with a much tighter weave would be durable. I might keep a pair of linen sheets I got for the asthetic but not durability. no think bamboo or tencel is best. Made of the eucalyptus fibre. Cooling plus warm in winter and not crumply

    don't buy cheap bedsheets. you get what you pay for and if you maintain it and look after it, you rtealistically only need 2-3 bedsheets. buy the most expensive one you can afford.
