Thank you so much, Anndy. I recently descovored your music from Danny's vidio so i am sorry i am so late but i really wanted to say that i love the song when we where young and take my hand. I litsen to them when i study or do my homework. Please dont litsen to any of the hate you get, your music is truly awsome. Stay strong Anndy i really respect you so much.
You're the coolest and I'm glad you're here 🖤
@@anndynegative ofc man your music is the best just keep doing what you do.
Interesting to make a video on this subject at the turn of the year (It's almost 2024) mentioning a guitar that's been discontinued since the start of "22. Epiphone WILL NOT re-launch, or price a guitar at the market of the old Specials like the one you mentioned, and are therefore unavailable in most of the world. You can probably hunt for them as new-old-stock but it won't come back, with the new Specials being priced three times higher.
With this in mind, I would like to mention that the S.G. Shape of that particular line is plentiful all over the world, and in my personal experience (having tried more of these than any one human should due to tutelage) is a MUCH better guitar than the single-cut Jr. And I highly recommend them. I 'suppose get em' while you can, as Epiphone's pricing seems to be creeping up to compete with MiM Fender stuff, and leaving the "Starter Pack" Market altogether.
There still seem to be a ton of the specials available in North America ranging anywhere from 150-300. I'm in Canada and all of my local shops are still carrying them
Some of the newer specialty ones certainly are more expensive and the SG might be a good alternative considering the weight!
@@anndynegative The fact of the matter is, that they don't make them anymore. Regardless of how many are in circulation.
Perhaps you should pin a comment with the other alternative shapes of the Special line (there was the Dot Studio too), as their availability seems to range from non existent to plentiful depending on the area, and how crazy the stock orders were during the covid guitar boom.
@@juancarloshaquetbriones4252 That fact of the matter is not relevant for this video. This video is a guide for beginners, and his advice is that the guitar is light weight and not expensive. I recommend checking out this cool website called, "Google". It's a site that can pull up information regarding various topics. In this case, try searching "epiphone les paul special-ii". You can see how available they are and, as he said, how light weight/cheap they are.
An Epiphone Les Paul special only weighs 2 pounds? Highly unlikely
Gretsch is perfect for the Tim Armstrong wannabe 😂
Btw they're really well made
I dream of the day I can play a Gretsch...tho, they're much more affordable now then they were when I started
buy a 9 string Ibanez, duhh
That's the big brain move for suuuuure
expensive :(
