Thanks for taking us along, Jami, that was intereting - loved the "rolley McDoodle thing" 😆. Chief and Ace had enough of camera time - "It's play time!"
That was a fun and interesting tour. Thanks for tasking us along while you make some more memories with your kids. I remember returning pop bottles back to the store and buying penny candy.
I love that when mom and dad are busy, and the camera is rolling, the two furkids start acting up!! Very cool place. I live in northern IL, and I've never heard of this place.
We had a grocery store here that had a rolly mcdoodle thing to send your bagged groceries outside so you could drive up to load the car when I was a kid! It was the best thing about that store! It’s great to see an original company thrive❣️
That was interesting. I didn’t know companies still sold pop in bottles like that. That is fun to go in and fill up a crate to take home. Pop out of a bottle is better than a can glad you had fun
I am WAY older than you….. but my very first job was working for a pop distributor. I sorted the empty glass pop bottles to go back to the bottling company for refill. I made $1.25 per hour back in 1966. I live in Michigan and we have $.10 bottle deposit return to reuse the bottles. Just an FYI! 🧡
@ oh yeah, I worked in a grocery store and we’d have to count the bottles when people brought them in and give them a refund for the bottles or if they bought another eight pack of bottles and they brought in eight bottles then we didn’t charge him that time. It wasn’t even trade
Good Morning beautiful Jami 🌻. What a fun video, I drove through Breese a lot and never knew. I love Ski. I can't hardly find it here across the river. I guess I will have to take a drive over. I wish you all a wonderful new year, I love ya'll and still praying. ❤
I didn't realize this either and grew up between O'Fallon & Lebanon IL. Will have to check this sometime when I'm down in the area again!❤Thanks for sharing!!
Jami, you should get a dash cam. Lester, too. Maybe get a sponsorship from Van Guard. Get the whole family hooked up! Please! I'm still worried about you being followed 😢😮😢
Thanks for the tour, that was amazing to watch! It’s so awesome he allowed you into the actual facility and to see all the awesome machines and how things operate!
That was fun! I love "back in the day" stuff that people Xander and Kendra's age have not experienced before. It reminds me of my childhood 🥹 Kendra and Xander, you have a beautiful home and its always wonderful to see you both🥰🥰
I use to live far from my kids and remember the times I got to reconnect, special times. So glad as a mom to get to see you share your time with your babies ❤
I have never seen inside of a making, bottling business before. So many different machines to look at. Thank you for taking us along, was so enjoyable. I love seeing where things we eat & drink come from. Gives us some knowledge & opens a persons mind up. To think they've been doing business for almost 100 years is awesome. I want to visit places like that. ❤😊👍. Nicely done.
Good new years day Jami Xander and Kendra. Fabulous tour of the bottling company. My favorite drink is black cherry. I'd rather have sodas in bottles as it tastes better than plastic as most things do. Thank you for the tour. Wishing everyone a fabulous day 😎❤❤
Did JAMI just Say. THIS ROLLEY McDOODLE THINGIE MAJIG ?? 😂😂😂. And XANDER had The AUDACITY to Correct Her To The CONVEYOR 😂😂❤. We Will NEVER see XANDER Ever Again 😂😂😂 ❤❤❤❤
Love it when ya take us along on field trips very cool place for sure !😊 . Hoping everyone survived the fireworks from last night, mine didn't enjoy any if it at all . Happy New Year to you , Lester , your fam ,& everyone. Blessings , love & much more for this year , just has be better than 2024 🙏🙏🙏🙏have great day ❤❤❤❤❤
Man talk about a blast from the past haven't had SKI years. Thanks for trip down memory lane Jami. Have a good night and may your days be blessed stay safe
I LOVE Ski! Where I grew up there was a bottling plant that bottled Ski and RC cola ( Greensburg, Kentucky ) and Ohio or Tennessee Ski never tasted the same or was as good, I would drive for hours to get my hometown Ski and even have my family ship it to me. ❤ Just like in southern Ohio where my Grandparents lived, there is Gem Cream Soda my Grandma always drank and had in the Refrigerator. I still crave it, one sip and I'm back sitting on the porch with her. 4:03
Thanks for the introduction to this place, Jami! I moved down to the St Louis area 20 years ago, and had no idea that was even there. Definitely time for a mini road trip to check Excel out and get some great soda!!
Very interesting! Chief and Ace are beautiful dogs! 🙏🙏🙏 For a great Happy 2025 New Year! 💖❤💘💝💓I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing a part of your day with us!!! Have a great evening!!!!
Hey, jami. I would love to try ALL the flavours. Unfortunately, I am in the UK 🇬🇧 BUT I am going on amazon to see if they ship here 😂 Thanks for taking us along 😊 I am due too see my son this month I CANNOT wait as I haven't seen him in nearly 2 years and facetime just don't cut it I need a hug 😊❤😊
Brought back memories when you mentioned Dairy King. We had one two blocks from my house. We hated when they tore it down when the interstate was put in 😢
Thank you for taking us along. I was brought up drinking Simpson Spring Soda and they are still in operation today in S. Easton, MA. That brought back a lot of memories. There are not many local soda companies that are still in business when I was a kid. God Bless.
Nice stroll down Memory Lane and an opportunity to create more memories. When I was young we frequently moved due to Daddy's job. I attended 3 different schools in 1 school year - 2 in different states. I never experienced true 'roots' anywhere. As long as I was with my Mother I knew I would be ok. We moved back to GA just before I started high school (1963), and this became 'home'. Jami's joy from being in Illinois and particularly with Xander is obvious. Even the dogs were excited!
i have never heard of this before! thanks for sharing it. that is so awesome. the lemon lime and the ginger beer i would love. xander looks like he is working out he is filling out. i also liked that one place you went to the gem or rock store that was interesting.
❤Thanks for the nostalgic tour. Never heard of that soda before, but I’m from South Carolina Georgia Alabama so probably wouldn’t be down this far south.
Jamie I love ❤️ things like this! I don’t drink alcohol for 21 years. I love unique drinks like this! We used to have a have A-treat soda but it went bankrupt! Awesome!
Good morning Jami,Happy New Year, that was an awesome place,it’s lovely to see that some old old factory buildings still standing and not destroyed. What a lovely place thanks for sharing.
Here in Canada we have Pic-a-Pop. Sodas on glass bottles. Also can be brought home in crates, but ours are plastic. I think these two companies are similar. Terrific !
Cool tour! Did you know Coke has a bottling facility in East Texas? My uncle worked for them back in the day and would give us those wooden cases of Coke, Tab, and Orange soda. Sometimes we would get the end of a run and you might get TAB in a Coke bottle which we hated TAB. The bottle cap would tell you what you were getting. We would take the TAB and poke a hole in the cap, shake it up and have soda water fights. Fun times! It was a treat to get Coke back then.
Happy New Year. Can’t wait to follow along in 2025 looked like you had so much fun back with family. So happy You got to go back and see everyone. Take care Much love God bless🙏💕👢
Here in red UK we had a company called Thomas and Evans, originated in Wales and sold Corona, not quite as many flavours as Ski., orangeade, lemonade, ginger beer and ginger wine, also one I can't remember the name of, anyway during the 30's, 40's 50's, my dad used to dtive a lorry delivering the bottles door to door, as well as stores, apart from the 7 years during ww2 when he served in the army, he gained 25 years of safe driving medals, so the visit to the factory was Interesting to me, I am 86 now so it was a long timesho ❤🇬🇧🏴
I love Ski and can get it in the grocery here in Lexington KY. I would love to try the cherry ski. I love everything cherry. What a cool place. Thanks for the tour.
What a neat place. All those flavors to choose from. When i was a young girl we would go camping with friends and have alot of these bottled pops. Never in a can . Thankyou for bringing us along. ❤
Omg they make Frosty Root Beer. I used to drink and make root beer floats with. 😊 I want some. Super jealous. Thanks for the ride down memory lane. Be safe.
Jamie I hadn’t seen that place in years! I worked one summer with a couple kids from that area and they had to show off the home of Ski. Thanks for the walk down memory lane!
I remember the returning soda bottles diet rc and 7up at the local grocery , case of beer bottles mom and dad did at the beer distributor and milk bottles at a local dairy. All gone from my hometown now. I now feel officially old at 56 to say what I heard many times from older people growing up. Crazy how times change and not always for the good. Thank you for sharing part of your growing up Jami.
Thanks for taking us along, Jami, that was intereting - loved the "rolley McDoodle thing" 😆. Chief and Ace had enough of camera time - "It's play time!"

Loved the tour. Thank you, Jami 😊 Brought me back to my childhood and collecting old soda bottles for candy money....those were the days!
I really appreciate that they do return bottles- saves extra trash from the landfills.

I lived in Cutler, Illinois as a small child. We had a creamery in town that gave us kids free ice cream bars. What a great way to begin life.
I'm glad you had a good time, and glad you took us along too!! That was so neat!

Enjoyed the tour Jami. Thanks for taking us along ❤

Jami after I watched, I ordered 12 bottles of Ski to be delivered. Gotta see if Illinois Ski is as good. 💚

Jami we have Ski in Alabama and I haven't tried it. I read it started in Chattanooga, Tennessee and then went to Illinois. Who knew
Do it!
Wow!! That is really cool to have the small business of America (unlike Coke or Pepsi) give a tour. Small towns are so cool.
I remember the returning soda bottles diet rc and 7up at the local grocery , case of beer bottles mom and dad did at the beer distributor and milk bottles at a local dairy. It was made in Wellston, Ohio, which is a town in Jackson County!
I have been to wellston
That's awesome. Thanks for the tour
I visited my husbands family in Illinois and had the ski soda, it was really good.
Any Soda always tastes better out of glass even beer , my husband always says his beer tastes better out of a glass bottle or out of a keg .
I agree 👍
Thank you for the tour, I can remember when all soda was in glass bottles
Happy New Year❤❤🎉🎉🎉
I grew up in Illinois and I’ve never had Ski!! Thanks for the tour!!👍🏼❤️
