Thanks for your persistence on that catch. You are a true sportsman. You fish with integrity and fish by the rules. An example for all especially the younger ones that are tuning in. A few of the other local channels should follow your example. Thanks for all you do.
@@donaldmilhoan6379 meh you’ll get used to it, what you don’t get used to though is cranking a chicken rig up from that deep to change the lead for a heavier one or check your baits.
Thank you haha. And no , it’s extremely rare, a friend caught one in Pensacola a few years back but that’s all I’ve seen. Our waters get too cold in the winter
@@BamaSaltwater I'm starting a channel myself. Would love to do videos with you. You can come to Pasco County Florida and I'll go up there. Would be cool. Dan BTW. Nice to meet ya. Have a great weekend
Yeah, most if not all people who fish do not like to give their location to their honey holes. They spend countless hours on the water learning where the best spots are. If they share that with the world to many people will be fishing in the area and ruin their spots that took them so much effort to find. The best way to learn spots is to spend time on the water. Best of luck fishing, and hope you have many bent rods.
Considering the fact that I didn’t land a fish for two days, I almost quit and didn’t go back…. Hence the title. But I was persistent and wanted one on the boat so I didn’t. Thanks for watching 🤙🏼
Truly appreciate how you always try to get the fish back in the water quickly with no harm done. True sportsman. 💪👍
Exactly!! CPR , Catch Photo Release haha. Appreciate ya watching !

Alabama dude, how deep do you think that water is?
Probably no deeper than 5ft
It’s a varying depth. Some spots are 1 foot and in the middle of the channel is 6 feet deep
@@BamaSaltwater thank you!!!!!..I been checking depths of different waters. Average ocean depth is 2.5 miles. Scary.

Your living my dream life.

Dedicated you are, and I'm jealous I still haven't got me a tarpon.
fishing the secret tarpon spot i see
Nice one!
So awesome
Do you ever take random people fishing???
See, you don't need a Van Staal to catch a tarpon.
Ohhhhhhhhh
Exactly. Proved the point in the video! I just enjoy using them. Haha
Them poons got concrete paved mouths.
Trokar hooks are about the only hooks that seem to hook them really consistently.
Ive missed a 56 inch
So why exactly did it almost make you quit? Still seems like click bait to me

I been fishing Tarpon for 7 years in Alabama and caught my fair share of Tarpon but I’ve never caught a small one.
Slow down on intro
