This tutorial was awesome Kris! One of the best I've followed.
can't wait for the tutorial on your mimic cube effect!
This is super wild , good job
Hi Kris, followed your tutorial and created an amazing simulation, can we sync it with the music file, please reply, and if that is possible can you share any link here.
thank you for this amazing tutorial.
beautifully constructed and explained, thank you so much!
You are so generous to share this, thank you!!
I suspect Chladni plate patterns are 2D cross-sections of 3D polyhedra. I'm exploring the relationship between spherical wave geometry and it's inherent basis in sacred geometry (Platonic, Archimedean, etc); for the purpose of healing with sound.
This was a big help!
YESSSSSS !!! Thankyou so much for sharing this
Really clear explanation and very visually cool result. Thanks!
Ur so awesome I've been waiting for something like this like forever
keep doing what you're doing!
yippee the tutorial is finally here !! gonna install 3.5 rq
I know this is an older tutorial but it was really fun to follow and play around with the settings, thanks!
Was wondering if there's a way of combining images into the pattern somehow - forcing some custom images into the mix to form special patterns with the particles. Any ideas on where/how to do that? Cheers!
Thanks a lot for the very interesting tutorial 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
awesome thanks
Fantastic, thank you for showing us how to create this!! One thing that happened to me and want to let others know in case it happens to them: I'm using 3.6 and when I went to render an animation, after 2 frames the simulation disappeared from the scene; however, once I played the simulation through all 150 frames I have set up and then hit render animation, I had no troubles afterwards
This is really good kris
Love the pacing and the realxing music :)
Thank you Kris
I miss your tutorials. :)
I recently subscribed and I'm pretty sure you're the best with nodes for anyone who makes tutorials, over a few good ones, from what I've seen so far.
gues I have to update to 3.5, this is the good stuff 💜
THX!
Wow, niceeeee🙃
This is such an amazing tutorial and I have a few questions - would you be open to a (paid) consultation?
Amazing ^^ like so much
Awesome content
Hi Kris, thanks for ur amazing tutorial. the nodes parts are amazing. The only thing is that the final patterns u create seem not to be actual Chladni Pattern. Would you please check that?
Amazing 👏
Hi Kris, is there any way to configure an input for a specific frequency?
wow Kris beautiful, I'm trying this out myself I was wondering how you can add keyframes like you mentioned to the A and B values
Probly very late but may i know where u get the formula from? wkipedia? some paper?
Hi Kris, great work on the tutorial! I just finished it and while the patterns are intricate, I'd love to simplify them a bit. Do you have any advice for someone new to geometry nodes on how to simplify the pattern while maintaining its impact? Thanks!
wow.
While following your tutorial and setting up the first math group I get a wave shape, instead of what you're getting. I followed everything to the dot. I dont know what I'm doing wrong
can this be done on a volume , if the object is converted to a series of dots that are postioned by a sound wave or a field of a force like magnets or supersonic inducers .
Thank you Kris! Great video! Is there a way how I can make it responsive to my own voice?
I personally haven't experimented too much with it, but blender has a "bake sound to f-curves" option. Check out some audio visualizer tutorials and see if you can find a way to implement it here :D
Hey! Did you manage to figure it out?! I came looking for a solution in the comment section haha
Hello! Is there a way to make this but audio reactive?
Can I control patterns by Hz in this simulation
Hi Kris, may I ask why you deleted your RTX card procedural modeling video, I see that plenty of procedural modeling videos from many other channels are deleted as well, is this a movement by procedural modelers? This is so weird.
Hi Kris, beautiful work mate! I have a shot in the dark request, do you have a video of your final product/simulation just running/playing out showing different patterns? I'd love to see it and it would be of help to me as a crisp visual reference for a pixel art/adventure game puzzle I am currently working on. I had to ask, I understand if not and thanks for the video regardless!
I don't have one just because it would take ages to render when I'm not really using it for anything. The tutorial does offer the resources for creating it yourself in blender though!
Loving the tutorial just one thing next time can you please turn down the music cause at times can hardly hear you talk
Im lost when you say node group hahahaha 1:52 Im not pro in blender just learning literally stuck in there, anyway the result look beautiful in the video
I’m there too. He cut the video and didn’t show what he did to create this node group. Currently trying to figure it out.
What a good Tutorial, sadly no single blender version with Simulation nodes isnt crashing when i try to add it.
@@krisp- Thanks a lot, somehow i havent noticed it in the video.
also, wich version of geometry nodes did u use because when i connect the Sample Neares Surface to the Set position yours is exploding and for me nothing changes, i have followed along a bit and nothing changes. Could this be because of the use cache option? (i dont have it/know wich version to find it)
@@brillant3090 Hi, I also don't have/can't find a version with use cache option as part of the Simulation Input and Output. Did you fix it without the use cache option? I have everything working except the particles don't show up in the render and wondering if this is the issue?
@4:53 my normals are not really rounded but more squareish eventough i use your values :-( anything i can do? Also the end result is all like squarish instead like squirlish 😞
Does anyone have a link to the build (3.5 Alpha I think) that this works with? I tried it with 3.6, which has simulation nodes, but it wouldn't let me add the Sim Input node.
@@krisp- Thanks! That's my first time hearing that term. I'll check it out tomorrow.
@@maximrivers Yeah ofc! They added that because alpha versions would crash if you added a simulation input with no output iirc
Can you also share the .blend file? I tried to replicate the tutorial. My sand shows up as solid/wireframe but doesn't show up at all in material view or render.
Point rendering is Cycles only at the moment. You could use instance on points to make little icospheres or cubes as well, but it'll run much slower in the viewport and Eevee didn't look as good which is why I stuck to cycles
@@krisp- Hi, thanks for an amazing and clear tutorial!!! I have render engine set to Cycles but the particles are still not showing in Render view. The simulation works in wireframe, solid, and render view but not material preview mode. Any help with what I've maybe missed?
Maybe I'm confused on point rendering. When I try to F12 render this it takes forever. Am I missing something or is this just very intensive because of all the particles?
Point rendering is pretty fast compared to rendering triangle based objects. It could be the number of particles, which you can try reducing
@@krisp- oh so point referring to the instanced points. Yeah I think its just something you gotta live with. Particle reduction doesn't give as defined patterns. It was taking like 2 seconds per pass when I tried it so even one frame is gonna take like 2-3 min.
@@apocy2k Yeah it's definitely not a fast render. Each frame took a couple minutes for me so I just rendered it overnight haha. I still think its an effect worth showing off though :)
omggggg
can't think of a more coplex tutorial, for mid range to beginners this is impossible to follow. i hate to say it but this is not a good tutorial, for experts they might get what you're doing but you're skipping frames so much it's really hard to tell what you're doing like at: 1:50
babe wake up, new kris tutorial just dropped
