Baekhyun himself said that we should look forward to D.O's dancing. And no doubt, HE DELIVERED, THEY ALL DELIVERED.
D.O., Chen and Baekhyun are just incredible, on top of being 3 of the absolute best vocalists in kpop they're SOLID dancers, like GOOD good.
D.O ate the hell out of the Cream Soda choreo. MVP for me, for sure🙌🏽🏆.
Also, for EXO to be this strong so consistently is downright insane. Everyone did so well, for the whole album. LOVED YOUR REACTION 😊

Thank you for bringing Sylvia. I loved the mv and the dp. I bet the dp will be as popular as The Eve dp or Monster. I also think it's one of their best choreos, like Electric Kiss or Oh la la la. Now that Kai's enlisted, they all suddenly turned into main dancers and i LOVE it, the energy, the charisma, them taking turns in the center being on par with Kai's usual appeal... beautiful! And I'm sure they left the parts, where he sings, unfilled, just like walking, on purpose, when he performs it later, he'll be driving us crazy with his moves as he sings this on stage. And in the MV they also left these parts with general shots and the burning heart... My boy would pour all his heart out in the MV and DP 😢. My favorite of the album is Cinderella (though you didn't ask😅) and I love that Kai and Xiumin have so many lines and their voices are so prominent and growing in presence

Cinderella is also my favourite ! I haven't heard many people talk about it though, compared to Private party.
EXO rules the world. These youngsters better recognize EXO walked so they could run! I loved everything about this and also the subtle references to Kai? My heart. PERFECTION.

And I've been playing it on repeat 😂 The only gripe I have is I wish some of the songs were just a little longer.
My brain is annoying and doesn't count anything under 3 minutes as a "full" song for some reason 😂
No you're not alone, i love the whole album.
I mean it's still a good album in general but not up to Exo's standard, I wouldn't let it sit on the same table as DMUMT, Obsession, The War or Universe.
And imo Ex'act and Exodus are comfortably better as well

I love that he said Cream Soda had to grow on him! The more I listened to it, and the album itself, the more I was able to realize how musically complicated it is if that makes sense. The whole album is much more on the mature, sauve side than what we normally get from EXO
100% on Cream Soda being a grower, ESPECIALLY when you listen with headphones on so you can ge the full effect of the bass. On first listen, I was like "oh different! Cute." And now I'm on listen 100 actually gobsmacked by how addictive this song is. And then the choreo video came out and just destroyed me. Unreal.
And on the album, you are SPOT ON about the production faults. I overall like the album, but there are like 3 songs that had the intro been more in line with the rest of the song, I would've downright lovedddd. Where it stands, they just feel a bit disjointed.

I will 100% blame SM for the album production "failures". One of the producers even said (sorry, I don't remember his name right now) that they "forgot" to add drums in Cinderella, like wtf
Agree. Usually I think "it's a grower" is a stans excuse for a so-so song, but this one's pros outweighs production/mix cons, and per usual the dance practice took me OUT.
We should be used to it by now, but the pre-release and title? The range of styles EXO can pull off. Still so impressive.

Sidenote: Fyi for the album reaction, the producer of Cinderella, Marz, actually came out on stream saying that SM didn't put in drums as he requested it! He seemed pretty annoyed about it...
The choreographer (kasper) posted the choreo on ig with him and all the dancers and it is phenomenal

I felt the same where i wasnt sure on the whole song but i loved the chorus and chanyeol and sehuns rap part, but now Its been days and i cant get this song out of my head. it definitely sneaks up on you.
also chen is married with two kids and doing all of this and making us feel the same things like before so idk what some kpop fans have against idols dating and marrying

Yes, ty for Sylvia! I loved hearing her harmonizing on the Cream Soda. Not usually a fan of falsetto choruses, so when she went lower it sounded nice imo.
Re: dance practice, I too think Bailey worked on this (hand choreo).* And D-freaking-O! Everyone says he sharp and smooth, and they are RIGHT. He'll just hit this quick move on the high hat then back groove again. They all did great, and are so grown. Dirty 30s, y'all!

Dont really agree with you regarding the Dem Jointz songs but I respect the opinion and love that you and Sylvia are reacting to EXO together again! I usually really like Dem Jointz spread of work regardless of the style and appreciate his forward decisions and ability to consistently be both out the box but maintaining the core of his production throughout, Regret It included.

For sure a grower i was hoping for a heavy rnb song but this sound is different from exo other titles. Their vocals carry the song also the guys are bringing it w the choreo since kai is not there for sure or maybe its cus the energy of being together after so long who knows :))))) the album also feel so youthful and refreshing to me for some reason

For your information Sehun is the main dancer together with kai.. so he is also very good in dancing and his style has very different vibe compare to kai... But both are good... I agree this choreo really sick

When I first heard the song it felt like something was missing; the song felt kind of plain? The chorus had no impact! It just felt like an extended pre-chorus (it wasn’t distinct). I’m not saying every song has to be experimental & new (EXO’s already given us that), but this song (to me) lacks EXO’s uniqueness, it just sounds very generic? (Like any group could have sung it - Unlike obsession or others which sound like only EXO could sing it/ do that concept).
However, as the EXO members are more mature now, I can appreciate the mature sound/ concept that the song was trying to give. Including how it sticks to EXO’s original r&b style (especially the vocals).

Regret It is actually my least favorite song on the album, like every other song is definitely MUCH better. Ofc the vocals deliver, but it’s definitely last on the album for me.
