    Hi Neil, "social media Influencers! "
    I think this highlights the problem with the social media world and you are correct to bring this issue up.
    Half million subscribers worldwide is not a large percentage of the population, yet these people think they are "MEGA STARS" caught up in their own perceived self importance.
    They think they can ask / deman huge sum to promote a products from hard working people. when in fact it's the hard work of others that lets them be where they are on these platforms.
    "Tail wagging the dog springs to mind"They seem to have felt the real world and are living in a fantasy bouble of celebrity, they are just small fish in a very large pond.

      Half a million subscribers should bring in a nice revenue already, they don't really need much of a fee if it's decent content. A million views can make £40K+ (according to reports from other UA-camrs)

    I think people start to get greedy but as always 2 sides to these things. Keep working at it, I built up my IG over 3 years and I’ve never demanded a fee but I’ve been sent free products costing a lot of money to the provider and that in itself is more than enough.

    Hi. I have a 2009 alfa romeo 159 1.9 jtdm.. My coolant drains straight away when i fill the tank. I can see water leaking out of a pipe. My question is. In the video on the brera. Will it be the same to get to the hoses as u did. Im guessing it the pipe leading directly from the tank?.

    Lot of faff for a new stat but then again every car has its jobs that should be easy but are a ball ache.
    Not sure if those turbo gas heaters are expensive but might be worth warming the workshopup for the 2 or 3 months of bad winter temps.

    Funny hearing you talking about pushing products. Could have done with that supercap starter twice this year. My wife's car, left the lights on. And on my van there's an auxiliary battery system, that killed my starter battery over Xmas.
    Ah well, will wait for the full one to be available again at a sensible price.
    Nice job done, I hate jobs like this, especially when it's freezing.

    My gawd! I have often complained about the accesibility of parts on my Citroën XM Turbo CT but doing this on it will actually take about 10 minutes. The same applies to exchanging the oil filter. Providing everything loosens without a hitch of course. So maybe I should stop complaining about the odd scratched finger knuckle! :-)

    Had to replace the thermostat on my 1.9 diesel GT last year, a bit of a pain to do. Had to replace it as the car was not getting up to temp. Stupid that you have to replace the complete housing as the thermostat is moulded inside it. Interestingly, the Alfa part was twice that of the, almost identical, Vauxhall part !, only difference is the Alfa part has a threaded whole to hold a bracket while the Vauxhall one doesn’t.

    I've done stats on my 164 Twin Spark and my 164 24 Valve. They were easy compared to this. I also did a couple on our Skoda Felicia. One of the VW " improvements " on the Skoda was to move to plastic thermostat housings. Replacement parts went from £5 to £70 when they did that, and they failed more often. Plastic is rubbish for engine parts.

    After I just order thermostat for my 159, good timing. Mine is both stuck open and leaking, lucky double whammy. Did you drain the coolant or just let the it drip out when you unbolt the thermostat ?

  • @chrisrichmond403

    Oh memories of doing thermostat changes on my Alfa’s , Never did one on my 159 tho ..
    With my cars I always did a full system flush & replace all those stupid clamps with jubilee clips for better quality .
    If you think Alfa thermostats are a pig VW are stupid things for location on the ASV Tdi engine ..
    Yes well done VW putting the thermostat pipe connector into the engine right above the alternator 😂
    Never have I ever had to use a carrier bag split in half to cover the alternator to stop coolant flooding & buggering it up ..

    I have a coolant leak on my 159 JTDM. Getting a smell inside through vents and some misting on inside passenger side widscreen - Coolant level drops during running only. Am i right in thinking the coolant goes through the heater behind the dash? and that the core might be leaking. I presume its a full dashboard removal job to get at it?

    Does anybody know what is this squealing noise right after starting the car that goes away a few seconds later in the video at 17:18? I have the same noise coming somewhere from the belts on my 159 and I'm wondering whether it's something to be concerned about.

    • @JoJanDiezel
      @JoJanDiezel 12 днів тому

      Probably the smallest belt for the alternator, since it's so called "elastic belt", which looses grip and star squeak.

    • @TonyBogdanov
      @TonyBogdanov 12 днів тому

      @@JoJanDiezel Actually my alternator died and had it serviced, so asked the mechanic about the noise. Said the belt was fine, a roll had to be changed, but the noise is still there. He doesn't know what it is either.

    About generating endorsement pay: The problem with you might be that you are one of those rare people who want to actually work for what they get paid. That is very rare! It does however also mean you'll probably never get rich. Reasonably well to do maybe but rich? Nah! Or could you at all imagine having an Amerian style programme with you commanding all sorts of people but never actually touching a spanner yourself? There is an old jewish saying that goes "I wish you many employees" but is actually meant as a sort of curse. :-)
