Hello everybody! ❤I know for the people watching the last few episodes from the Camper Tour you might not have liked them that much BUT I have wayyyyy more time to edit and try and represent what I saw as best as I can in these next few videos for sure! I’m actually VERY happy with how this video turned out for instance (since I finally got a full night’s rest). And I’m looking forward to showing you more of what I saw while I was here! Again, this isn’t gonna be for everyone (and I definitely understand that) but I’m doing the best I can with what I have at this point 🔥👌🏽😎! The next 3 vlogs will be Munich Vlogs (finally) Also, I’m going to revisit most of these places in the future for a proper tour! Nördlingen in my opinion was a SUCCESS tho! 🔥
Small correction: the meteor created a crater which is 25km in diameter and encompasses the entire Donau Ries area. You can actually see the edges of the crater from basically any point in the Ries. The Jakobsweg and the Romantische Straße lead through Nördlingen, and like your mate pointed out the city wall is quite unique too, so we've had our fair share of tourists prior to Attack on Titan. But it's nice to see more people appreciate our little town :)
Fun Fact: The city model you witnessed is actually a project to make sightseeing city’s „viewable“ for blind people. It’s a German wide Programm where the cities and also special buildings in cities have these, the dots on it are blind letters, so they can read what they feel around. This way these people can experience the sightseeing sights without seeing with their eyes.
In the distance you could see the rim of the meteor crater. And next time you come visit the meteorite museum. Btw Schwabentöpfle is my favourite dish, too. 😁
In Germany, there are ten restaurants with three stars, 50 restaurants with two stars and 274 restaurants with one star. In the USA 13 3-star, 33 2-star, 187 1-star restaurants. Numbers 2023
Small cities like Nördlingen have more history in their pinky finger, than most of the big cities you've visited in the "Pott"... 😜 At least you are finaly in BAVARIA! 🥳
It's the most touristy medival city ever but you should devenitely visit Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It's really worth it. You can only walk around half the city on the wall tho.
for your long flight back: Matthias Burger renovated his woodframe house in Ulm and compiled that to a youtube series with deep explanations and beautiful drawings. both in english and german.
In case you revisit Nördlingen I'd recommend visiting the Bavarian Railway Museum. It in a former railway depot with an operational turntable next to a locomotive shed. They have a couple of really remarkable steam engines some of which are still able and allowed to drive. Perhaps the most famous one is the Bavarian S 3/6 (amer. 4-6-2) pacific type express locomotive in its original Bavarian colour scheme - operational still. And have you been to the meteorite museum? If not I'd recommend that too. They've got a real rock probe sampled on the Moon by one of NASA's Apollo missions.

And there are also local conditions that provide the perfect setting for a lot of fantasy. No wonder it was immortalized, I'll have to do a bit more research on AOT. You're right, this vlog has James Bray quality again. Thanks also for panning the camera slower from the tower. You seem to be learning that your viewers need to get their bearings first and the picture needs to be slower than when you're watching live yourself, thanks! 😄 What a beautiful place and everything still seems to be as it was centuries ago 😍

How about if you let us, the audience, decide via poll where you go, what you see and what you eat? I kind of missed the food parts in the vlogs. Anyway, good video!

Can someone enlighten me, please? I've tried - as far as time allows - to find out a bit about AOT and now I have a question: Was Shiganshina actually modeled more or less 1 to 1 on Nördlingen (because James thought he knew his way around here, could find his way around based on AOT and possibly even find certain houses) or was AOT simply modeled on the usual medieval German towns and Nördlingen simply comes closest? 🏰🏘⛪️🏘🏰
