"You can explore without fear of wolves in a blizzard" - Lonely, you may want to edit in a text note using the YT editor if possible to qualify that TImberwolves and and will still be active in a blizzard if you're in one of the 2 regions they're found in.
For custom difficulties, your risk tolerance has to fine tune with the specific settings you're using. For example, with my settings, I use mostly interloper, but with the best clothing, manufactured tools and firearms present, though loot tables for containers is mostly Interloper, as is weather and wildlife, but to compensate for the higher tier gear being possible, I also have cnd recover set to the lowest possible without going full on dead man walking. This means my risk tolerance has to slide with the current situation, as if my cnd is down, I have to be more risk adverse usually, as I can't afford to lose any more since recovering cnd from 25% or lower can take up to 4 days without recover boosts. However I also have to balance this against the resource scarcity, as I can't afford to stay too long recovering either, as I've not got much food until I can get hunting going, or loot the food rich locations. And with the slow recovery rate, I can't afford to starve by day, and eat just enough by night, to stretch my food for long, and not at all as cnd falls to about 75% or lower, as this runs the risk of death spiraling my run. Early game I'm on a razor's edge of survival and death. Once I'm kitted out, it gets much, much better however, as I've got the warmest clothes in the game available, manufactured knives, hatchets and firearms for self defense and hunting, so I've got options for getting food and defending myself.

I said wolves specifically. Timberwolves are separate, but I could make that more clearer.
As to custom difficulty options, I don't design any of my guides to cater to that - there's far too many variables to discuss and adjust for. This is mainly designed as a high-level guide to build out a systematic framework for approaching your playstyle in accordance with goal setting. The next video in this series which comes out tomorrow discusses actual risk management strategies and functions with some colorful and real-world examples from my own playthroughs! It's impossible to speak to every nuanced situation, even those in standard difficulties, from one short guide video. I think that'd be a high task!
But my hope is to get players up to speed. The first video in this series discusses the core gameplay systems and gives a brief intro into wolf avoidance. The second video, this one, broaches the concept of playstyle tuning, and hints at both risk management and goal setting. The next video refreshes the first two and discusses how goal setting interlinks with tuning. And finally, risk management comes in to tie everything together with a nice little bow. A future video in this series (I may just pull my existing one over as it's pretty great already), will discuss long-term planning and associated risk management from a high level view, as my soon-to-debut risk management video focuses more on daily gameplay rather than long-term planning.
