They said on the verified badge page there'll be more methods to obtain it for normal users in the coming months which is good. I hope they make it not too easy to obtain but just rare enough so the average user doesn't have it. For example twitter verification is super hard to obtain even if you're a celebrity or someone with lots of fans. Meanwhile facebook verification is an absolute joke,you only need around 1k likes and a decent page to get that. UA-cam verification is quite balanced because it's not impossible to obtain but it isn't super easy either. Partners only getting it is a bit unfair atm as it punishes people who use twitch regularly to watch streams instead of broadcast them.
Facebook verification (atleast for artists) is really hard nowadays, because you can no longer request for it
