Two of the sweetest people to have ever lived who dedicated their lives to helping others for decades. I can’t believe they both passed away on the same day 😢 RIP Dr. Ruth Westheimer and Richard Simmons
July 13, 2024.. Rest In Peace to Richard and Dr. Ruth. We lost both of these legends today. The world seems a bit dimmer today. Richard saved my life. Eternal gratitude.
.... THIS-IS-AMAZING... These two died a day apart and years ago they had this encounter. Love their chemistry with each other, like they knew one another for years. Rest in peace to both of you, Dr Ruth and Richard-- you both changed the world in different ways, one person at a time. ❤❤❤❤
Love this video! I have met Richard Simmons several times. He is a really nice guy and so funny! He is a icon! Glad that he is finally taking care of himself. He has been taking care of everyone else for decades.
This video was wonderful. I have never seen richard be himself and not clowning as he is here. Truly a great interview. He is going to leave a big hole in this world.😢
z"l Dr. Ruth....may your memory be a blessing...RIP Richard..z"l...may your memory be a blessing as well. You brought so much kindness, positivity and fun fitness to the world
Dr. Ruth, I will remember you for being a sex therapist and for your appearances on Hollywood Squares! Richard Simmons, I will remember you for inspiring me to be fit! Thank you for making me be active! Rest in peace, both Dr. Ruth (96) and Richard Simmons (76)!
I love this man! There are very few people as brave, energetic , kind and charismatic as Richard has been. He has been very generous toward people and I hope he is happy and content at this time. For all the good he has done, I consider him a saint. Saint Richard :-). Why can't there be more people like him in the world.
I miss having wholesome helpful genuinely good people as celebrities. Amazing that these two went to the pearly gates together on the same day. Rest in peace.
his father died in April of 83 and he says it was 2 years ago in this clip (making it 1985) but he also mentions the silver foxes video which was made in summer of 1986. hmmm. great vid though
I wish that Richard Simmons older self acted more like his younger self here. In this video he is VERY genuine and sincere. The senior Richard Simmons is TOO flamboyant...fake...” I’m NOT gay!”...dressing in women’s dresses and wigs...and acting kooky. NOT being his TRUE self. Just be a NORMAL gay man Richard. Be genuine. Be YOURSELF like you were in your younger days.
I think perhaps because he was so used to motivating people and that takes a lot of energy. It’s like he had to be high energy and he wasn’t sure how to turn that off and it probably wore him out in the end. He is still a lovely human.
Why they didn't talk about sex and healthy sex practices, like she usually does? Oh, because it's Richard Simmons, the guy who creepily comes onto straight guys on talk shows but refuses to come out publicly. Got it.
They both gained their wings today. Rest in heaven to them both. 🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊
🙏
RIP 🌹🙏🏿🌹 They went home together!
They are so wonderful. I'll never forget their enthusiasm.
I can't believe they both died same day. rip to them ❤
I've been so sad about both their passings, not forgetting Shannen Dougherty 😢😢😢

I literally cried all day yesterday because of their passings. Not forgetting sweet Shannen Dougherty as well.

Richard saved my life.
Eternal gratitude.
RIP two legends. You both made the world a little kinder and fun.
They had no idea they would die within hours of each other over 40 years later. Wild. Rest in peace to them both. ❤
Nope, that's not something that they would ever consider at all. Both good people though, RIP to both of them.
They're likely together chatting it up
What a gem. I don’t like cheap people either, Richard. When you do well, you spend it on others. Beautiful people that we lost today.
I like his compassion for people that are overweight he understands them I get inspired by him

Richard had a heart of gold. Truly a great, caring person.

I hope he realizes how much he was loved. RIP
Rest in peace to both Richard Simmons and Dr Ruth
Great interview! RIP Dr. Ruth & Richard Simmons.
Richard looks great here. He is such a kind person, no matter what. I hope he is doing well.
@@jenmidwest8026 At that time in his life, his skin had a gorgeous glow. Richard looked happy.
I appreciate Simmons, particularly his helping of disabled people.

Who would’ve thought that when these two were sitting on the couch that day that they would both die on the same day roughly 3,000 miles apart.
REST RICHARD. A NEW ORLEANS LEGEND♥️♥️🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️
Watching this again since they passed. Grateful for this video.
What a day.

What a heart of gold Richard Simmons had. Wish I could buy his positive attitude.
He sure is one of the many memorable icons of the 80s makes you miss these times
RIP 😢💔💔🕊️
I love this and him too!
I love Richard.. thats all I can think of to say about him
Dr Ruth the greatest generation …
RIP to both:(
They both passed away within a day of each other
I love Richard...he has helped me lose a lot of weight throughout the years...
I like the subtle clue of her clearing her throat when he says "dickie" LOL. These shows and their little "ways" lol.
This a segment that every body needs to hear!!!!!!
😇👍🤗💃
I miss having wholesome helpful genuinely good people as celebrities.
Amazing that these two went to the pearly gates together on the same day. Rest in peace.
One of the good guys.....
Wholesome interview
his father died in April of 83 and he says it was 2 years ago in this clip (making it 1985) but he also mentions the silver foxes video which was made in summer of 1986. hmmm. great vid though
Good to know; I was actually wondering when this aired and that helps a lot.
His mom was smart, indeed--she did what she had to do to survive and thrive. 🙏
One of the few videos in which Richard is not wearing a dolphin short.
Both of these icons died today on the same day.
You don't see genuine conversation today like this.
RIP. Died on the same day.
People who changed the world both die on the same day 😢
Love to hear talk and laugh. World lost 2 precious people, who gave us the hope. Something we need especially in these times.
Love you richard!🥰
Richard was always somewhat flamboyant but in these earlier interviews he was much more normal and restrained.
RIP Dr Ruth and Richard simmons
Rip to you both
Now they both died on the same day 7/13/24
He seems so normal here
Howard Stern would bring up this interview while talking to Simmons, call her an old bat, and make him nearly storm out
I've never heard of Dr Ruth but she seems equally nice as Richard RIP i hope that both are in a better place because this world is an ass
Crazy to think that they both ended up dying on the same day here in 2024...
When did this air? Anybody? I'm guessing late 80's, early 90's 🤔
Another tape for silver foxes would probably have different music today. We got older somewhere along the way. A nice look into the past.
😄
News in at 2:30 a.m. on my bed but on my way on my bedside

I love this old krout woman's personality. She's great

Jeez, Dr. Ruth, fucking stop interrupting him.
Woah. Died on the same day.

On my bedside
Fun Fact: Dr. Ruth was a sniper in the Israeli military.
Howard Sterns real wife 😂
he actually seem more masculine
Jdgaf myob Yeah, I think most of what we see is part of his schtick.
Richard was NEVER masculine, LOL. He is definitely much more serious and calm here, but not more masculine.
@@jrwheeler81 Watch him on the Howard stern roast from early 90's, you'll be suprised, he acts super masculine
Ferhnijascv 👰🤵
Two of the funniest looking people I've ever seen!
Ferhnijascv
Dr Ruth wasn’t a good listener, she kept interrupting Richard.
RIP Bozo
I'm glad he came out of the closet.
Why they didn't talk about sex and healthy sex practices, like she usually does? Oh, because it's Richard Simmons, the guy who creepily comes onto straight guys on talk shows but refuses to come out publicly. Got it.
