Back to listen to this yet again. The technical ability on show by AMC here is on another level. I listen to all sorts of genres but do tend to come back to DnB often and nothing much I've ever heard is quite as technically impressive as this set. To be that technical and maintain that sort of energy as well is unreal. I'd love to say anyone who doesn't understand what DJs do, watch this but I still don't think most people would fully appreciate how much preparation and skill went into the way this set was delivered. Just outstanding from a man who is at the very top of his game.
same here, for the >100th time in the past year. I rotate through all his digging deep sets to keep my work behind the computer interesting. Don't think anybody who doesn't DJ would understand what is going, even the avge. dj would not understand. I wish he could announce when he is going to make these kind of sets, i'd travel for it.
Absolutely agree, there’s rarely 1 tune playing by itself…. If ever. The thought and planning that must have gone into that mix alone is immense. Plus the concentration required to not mess up with that much going on for that long, the man is an absolute legend, an inspiration and in my opinion is currently the best DJ on the scene.
I genuinely hope that A.M.C starts to get the recognition he clearly deserves for the sheer effort and design of his sets. No one else is breaking ground within the dnb scene like he is. Keep it up A.M.C and thank you Dnb Portal.

I've been lucky enough to experience his set at Audioriver 2022. This guy is from another planet, insane flow. I'm not even sure if there's anyone in this world with such a skill to do triple/quadruple drops and knowing ANY tune to the single bit. Just mindblowing. We're lucky to live in the age of A.M.C.

Honestly... You can't top that. This was by far one of the best, if not the best dnb set of all time. Hands down. I almost burned my house to the ground just for hype. Thank you AMC, you're the best.
My analysis of AMC: he's up there with Andy C with his mixing skills and tune selection. But... there's no breakdown (i.e. a rest!), it's just smasher after smasher. Not a bad thing, just need to make sure you've got a lot of energy to keep you going through the ride!
Agreed, he’s an absolute monster, but I personally prefer the way that Andy C builds a set. Don’t think it’s really about who’s better at this point, more about what kind of set you prefer.

Andy C, AMC, Friction three of the best executioners in the game and imo AMC is literally on the edge when it comes to pure DJ skills, dude could DJ his whole career and not put out a single tune and still be in demand at every relevant DNB event across the globe ... The man's timing, transitions and flow is almost subhuman, massive respect to AMC and DNB arena for introducing me to him way back in the early 2000's been a massive fan ever since just want him to do more shows in North America in more personal events.
Its crazy to see where DnB has come to!? 20 years ago I felt like its future was uncertain. The injection of inspiration from techno and dubstep was a god send. As far as exciting electronic music goes I feel like this is its peak so far!!
Honestly, might be a weird take, but for sure Noisia brought a new impetus to the scene, and maybe even Rusko as well. It was so incredibly big again at some point. I love where DnB is at nowadays though, people bringing back jungle AND going hard at the same time, best timeline.
I grew up in the 1996 Jungle / DnB era and spent most of my weekends at raves. By around about 2005 i was totally worn out and needed to take a break from partying so i could get some qualifications...etc. unfortunately that was the end of my clubbing years. But i'm still passionate about the DnB scene. One thing that has truly advanced since my days of raving is the DJing - it's just unbelievable, even though i know the technology has come leaps and bounds. He's literally dropping a different track every 30 seconds. That would have been unheard of back in the day.
So, I was at this festival and stumbled onto the dnb stage where A.M.C was playing. I didn't know him then, but I fcked so hard with his set. I was super high and just remembered at what time I was there. Checked the line-up the next day to see who played at 19h30. Now, I'm listening to this sick set, whilst hardcore dancing in my room.

Got back to watching this set once again and i noticed something new, absolutely love how he takes the time to load up, play and fully hypes up a track sometimes to just discard it the moment a drop comes 😂 fucking legend tbh.
i listened this too many time in this week and i agree, this is the BEST set i've seen and heard in my whole life. The crashes between dnb subgeners its too crazy family, and the crowd reaction its accord with this filhty. A.M.C. I still have a Drum and Bass arena set from 2008 from AMC that I listen to somewhat frequently, this man has been a powerhouse for decades and has only gotten better. Amazing set, love it!
Late reply I know but he recently said in a post that it’s such a mixable track that he rewrites it often to accompany another track. An example off the top of my head would be the version he blends with Circadian - Body Work VIP which you can hear in his 360 set

Honestly... You can't top that. This was by far one of the best, if not the best dnb set of all time. Hands down. I almost burned my house to the ground just for hype. Thank you AMC, you're the best.

My analysis of AMC: he's up there with Andy C with his mixing skills and tune selection. But... there's no breakdown (i.e. a rest!), it's just smasher after smasher. Not a bad thing, just need to make sure you've got a lot of energy to keep you going through the ride!
Agreed, he’s an absolute monster, but I personally prefer the way that Andy C builds a set. Don’t think it’s really about who’s better at this point, more about what kind of set you prefer.

Andy C, AMC, Friction three of the best executioners in the game and imo AMC is literally on the edge when it comes to pure DJ skills, dude could DJ his whole career and not put out a single tune and still be in demand at every relevant DNB event across the globe ... The man's timing, transitions and flow is almost subhuman, massive respect to AMC and DNB arena for introducing me to him way back in the early 2000's been a massive fan ever since just want him to do more shows in North America in more personal events.

Its crazy to see where DnB has come to!? 20 years ago I felt like its future was uncertain. The injection of inspiration from techno and dubstep was a god send. As far as exciting electronic music goes I feel like this is its peak so far!!
Honestly, might be a weird take, but for sure Noisia brought a new impetus to the scene, and maybe even Rusko as well. It was so incredibly big again at some point. I love where DnB is at nowadays though, people bringing back jungle AND going hard at the same time, best timeline.
I grew up in the 1996 Jungle / DnB era and spent most of my weekends at raves. By around about 2005 i was totally worn out and needed to take a break from partying so i could get some qualifications...etc. unfortunately that was the end of my clubbing years. But i'm still passionate about the DnB scene.
One thing that has truly advanced since my days of raving is the DJing - it's just unbelievable, even though i know the technology has come leaps and bounds.
He's literally dropping a different track every 30 seconds. That would have been unheard of back in the day.

So, I was at this festival and stumbled onto the dnb stage where A.M.C was playing. I didn't know him then, but I fcked so hard with his set. I was super high and just remembered at what time I was there. Checked the line-up the next day to see who played at 19h30. Now, I'm listening to this sick set, whilst hardcore dancing in my room.

Late reply I know but he recently said in a post that it’s such a mixable track that he rewrites it often to accompany another track. An example off the top of my head would be the version he blends with Circadian - Body Work VIP which you can hear in his 360 set
