Why are you showing an n95 mask with a vent that doesn't filter the exhalation?

New habits to grow and to improve your health. I have many homemade masks and try to wash 'em as frequently as possible. We're all doing the best we can and it's a great deal better than 6 months ago. Keep at it and be well.

    Great video, thanks!
As an HCP I find it extremely stressing to see all of the homemade masks improperly made and regular masks not properly being used and it brings up some questions:
    Shouldn't our eyes be protected?
There's a video on YuckTube where a man demonstrates blowing out a candle through his homemade mask to show the ability for air to pass through. I've tried this with a surgical mask with similar results. The N95 however works as expected.
What are the 3 levels of surgical masks?. Which brings me to the pleated question. When wearing a homemade mask or a surgical mask I see the nose wire and when worn properly all of the pleats point down. I've seen some people turn their masks around and now the pleats are facing upwards which I would assume is a perfect place for collecting things. So is there a difference To having the pleats up or down? & additionally, your views on sideways pleats as I've recently seen on yuck tube.
When it comes to making homemade masks, (aside from using a Hepa vacuum bag as fabrique), I see 2 layers often. Would 3+ be better? Pleats down? ** wouldn't it be more effective if we added a thin sheet of strong plastic between the layers? Lastly I've seen many homemade masks as well as store-bought masks that don't have any room for a nose. Often I see people with masks but no nose covering.
Teaching an aerobics class, instructors are asked to teach from behind a portable plexiglass where masks aren't worn, class spread out and limited. How exposed can we be to the tiny droplets that go up in the air and float around?
Unrelated to masks but important. Why can't the WHO, politicians and media use standard numbers when attempting to educate the general population. IE) rates, expiration and # of confirmed cases.
Thank you Dr K Forwith, keep up the great work, the educational vids and stay safe.

My relatives thought homemade mask are useless, that's why they get surgical masks in Australia.

It would be great if there were enough surgical masks for everyone to have several.

Apparently all of them are for microscopic stuff
Someone stated in layman's terms 'if u can smell a fart, u sure r not keeping any microscopic stuff out
