LET'S GOOOOO, I wanted the V3 so bad and I emailed Squid asking about it so many times and now I can get a better version of it.
your flips are so satisfyingly smooth
i want to get to that point eventually, for now still learning beginner stuff
What tricks can u do so far? Try the helix, tho it looks really hard it's actually quite simple you do a y2k inot a index zg rollover than a thingy flip on your thumb u do at the end on a bt8b

I love the aesthetics of the mako, especially this new version.
Side note, i have a kraken trainer that I’ve used and abused while learning and have tried to tune it but can’t get it back to its old glory. Because I beat it a lot while learning, would replacing the bushings be the way to go?
Yeah replace the bushings and do the normal tune

Man I’m really interested in this. I love having bali trainers that serve another purpose, even if it’s as simple as a bottle opener. Especially since I can’t have live blades here in Canada
Yeah, just imagine you're out with some friends and someone says "does anyone have a bottle opener?" and you get the Mako out and open it with that

Well, I guess it’s good that ur not going show west. For anyone wondering why its good it’s because blade will now be doing bag checks to prevent people from going in with live balis, and switch blades fixed blades over 3 inches I think. So yeah basically no knives hence me calling it show west and not blade show west

if the price is anywhere near the triton, its a no for me. The mako was supposed to be their most affordable aluminium trainer between the squiddy and triton, which is why it was sandwich in the first place. Essentially what theyve done is made a shark themed triton. They either need to not change the price, or produce a whole new budget trainer to replace the old mako
I told squid a great name for a new trainer is Aqua but this could be foreshadowing

Bruh what’s the point now. Thought the mako was neat and different before. What differentiates it from a Triton now?
The Triton is actually quite different, the feel in the hand is different due to the difference of having the line down the handles vs. the gills on the Mako feel a lot different. I personally prefer the Mako V4 much more of the Triton V2

all the squid knives are becoming the same thing lol. they all sound the same and the only unique thing they got is the naut honestly
Truthfully I disagree, having every one of their products now they all offer something unique and different at different price points. They certainly have certain familiar elements, but each one of their flippers is pretty unique
@@thebrandonbakerclone I also think them having these similarities is also a good thing. Everytime you see/flip one and can say "Yeah, that's a squid knife" while still seeing how each of them is unique in their own way is such a good design in my opinion

Tbh it is different flipping wise actually, imo
