Imma rank my personal opinion if which no more heroes games are the best for different reasons. NMH1: Best story NMH2: Best mini games TSA:NMH: Best bosses NMH3: Best combat You can disagree if you wish
For me I think NMH was perfect overall while NMH2 had the best final boss. People hate Batt for being anti-climactic, but that was obviously the point. It was just rubbing in how pathetic revenge was. Also throughout the entire game we see Travis as this juvenile badass, but then we get a glimpse of how dumb his character really was. One moment the player is in a power fantasy, fighting cool one-note assassins, the next they get a reminder of nerdy they really are. After all, Travis is an analogue for the player. Speaking of which, Travis Strikes Again had the best/coolest story. NMH3 for me was the most satisfying plot wise. The side missions can use improvement tho.
I feel as though NMH3's combat was a bit too repetitive towards the end, and the addition of more beam katanas like in NMH2 would have made the combat a lot better. It's a shame because when I saw the trailers I thought the spinning blades effect around Bloodberry was actually the Tsubaki Mk. 2 making a comeback.
Personally I couldn’t stand most of NMH2’s mini games, and I think NMH1 has the best combat with 3 coming pretty close (albeit being quite a bit easier than the other games without handicaps and upping the difficulty). I do agree with TSA having the best bosses though, they were really creative with those. NMH2 had some really cool ideas; like the different beam katanas, all the bosses being entertainment themed, and I still think about that whole speech Travis has after killing Alice, but I feel like I’ve overall just had a much more enjoyable experience with the other games.
I agree with NMH1 having the best story. NMH2 didn't have as big of an impact and Minigames were a hit or miss for me personally. Didn't play TSA. And finally NMH3 has indeed polished the combat. RIP tiger tho

The remix/cover actually kinda fits with the rest of the ost.
Perfection
How it should have been.
This looks good. What emulator are you using?
