hi retrosutra you make good video . i have question can you make youtube video about indiana jones and the fate of atlantis- the action game for commodore 64, atari st, amiga, amstrad cpc .
You can actually time your jumps to go over the green jumping ghosts (but the timing is very tricky). You can't do that with the grey\black ghosts, though; they will match your jump height every time
I love Pacmania. I first played it on the Atari STe and had a lot of fun with it. I think tho nothing beats the arcade version. Excellent upload my freind, i enjoy all your videos. thankyou.
Arcade International / Japanese: OG. the international version slowly darkens the background in the Game Over screen. The Japanese version doesn't do this and the background stays at a sepia tone. The name entry music (FM number 0C and 0D) doesn't exist in the Japanese version. If you attempt to play them in the Sound Test, the "Game Start" jingle is played instead. The Japanese version also lacks a high score table, and because of this, it only saves one high score. Amiga: Too fast and a little funny. Atari ST: Sounds a bit funny. Commodore 64: Bit crushed in C64 sounds are funny. ZX Spectrum 48K / 128K: I can't stop laughing at this one. Amistrad CPC: Sounds silly and a little scary at the same time. MSX: Same as ZX Spectrum, but a little low pitched. MSX2: Fast and in low quality. Sharp X68000: Similar to the international version, but it has a unique audience sound that isn't found in the original arcade. NES: The death animaiton almost matches the arcade one, but the ending music is used in the name entry music due to memory limitations. Acorn Archimedes: It just sounds so goofy. Sega Genesis / Mega Drive: The death animation seems to be like in the original pac-man, the name entry music is used as the game over theme just lasting 6 seconds, again to memory limitations. Sega Master System: The effect when pac-man disappears during his death animation is the same as in the original Pac-Man arcade. Playstation / Game Boy Advance: It's the same concept as the japanese arcade version. J2ME: I'm laughing at the MIDI styled death sound.

I like the ZX Spectrum 128K version (3:33); the impact sound and the music fading out before the death animation plays is a really nice touch.

5:27 - Me: BOOOO!!!!
By the way, the Sharp X68000 version of Pac-Mania is similar to the arcade version.
The amount of times I died to the jumping ghosts is outrageous.
Hahaha yes
Especially when the game starts going fast and especially with black commons! (were they called Spunkies? I don't remember)

@@yamigekusu I remember sometimes I could, probably Pac-Man just gets faster than them, but that was on the Genesis version I think...
@@vittosphonecollection57289 it was the same across every version I played. The grey ghosts will just kill you every time when you jump lmao
Stage Failure, Name Entry, Continue, and Game Over
