8:30 they DID detect a patterned radio signal from the very same star (Tabby's Star), in ADDITION to the light dimming which suggested something massive was occluding the star partially. This signal was reported briefly for 1 day on national worldwide tv stations, as being "very similar to the 'wow signal' in how artificial it looked".
And i remember the reporters SPECIFICALLY mentioned how peculiar it is that this radio signal was coming from the SAME star that just a few weeks prior had the unusual light dimming..
What happened next? The next day they just said "the telescope observing the radio signal has suffered a gyroscope malfunction, and no other telescopes has free time allocated to observe this star", and EVERYONE forgot about it, and NOTHING else was ever said about it...
I remember sitting in my couch hearing this, and just literally bursting out loud, despite being alone at home, "WHAT A LOAD OF BS, what are the odds the "gyroscope" would malfunction on the SAME DAY we detect TWO unusual signals from the SAME star?".
If you do the odds on it, its astronomical.
Take the number of days the observatory has been active, and the number of days these 2 unique coinciding events happen (1 day), and you get the odds that the gyroscope would miraculously malfunction at the exact right time.
It was intentionally shut down and turned away form the star.
People only remember the light dimming, because its so easy to dismiss by scientists later, as in the laughable "oh it was just dust clouds".
But nobody seems to remember the radio signal coming from the exact same star, a structured signal completely unlike any other we've ever observed (with the exception of the "wow" signal). Why? Because then it would be undeniable proof.
It's now 8 years later and nobody in the scientific community talks about Tabby's Star anymore, and nobody talks about the radio signal.

The girl who calls at 2:18:14, Miranda from Oregon, is the last caller ever to get on the air with Art Bell and Michio Kaku, the very last in two decades of amazing shows with these two men, and not only does she ask one of the most inane questions imaginable, but he gives her a magnificent answer that explains how science is making possible things that previously seemed like magic or the supernatural. He tells her about experiments into telepathy, recording dreams, travel between parallel worlds, and time travel. And her response is a dismissive "Hmmmph. Interesting. I was thinking more along, like, ghosts or when, like, when you get recorded sound from people saying things. Like, this kind of correlates to, like um, you know frequencies and waves and stuff. Does Dr. Kaku think that these messages could be from dead people?"
This woman didn't listen to a damn thing Kaku said in his answer to her, didn't make the tiniest effort to understand or show respect for the subject matter, and followed up with another depressingly idiotic question when there are countless people who would kill for the chance to personally ask Dr. Kaku a question and get his full attention in crafting an answer.
Even worse, she tosses in "like, this kind of correlates to, like, um, you know frequencies and waves and stuff," like a kid who didn't read a single sentence of his reading assignment and is wasting everyone's time -- and insulting their intelligence -- by trying to BS through an answer.

i love michio kaku but i physically cringed when he said animals dont understand the concept of the future stating they do not plan for future.
squirrels hide food literally everywhere and anywhere for the winter
bears eat large quantities to fatten up for the winter hibernation cycle
other animals also similarly demonstrate wintering behavior or have migratory patterns indicating an understanding of some future event changing the weather 'back' to the warmer climate after the colder climate
i dont think we can so quickly wave away the possibility they have some understanding of the concept of time

    • @MMID303
      @MMID303 7 місяців тому +2

I kind of agree with him though. Those are more in the instinct category. They may not actually think about the future such as "I wonder how harsh this winter will be". It's more like a program that kicks on in their brains automatically. Getting cold, must collect food.

don't hearding dogs make consequential decisions based on observations and perceived outcomes? they use anticipation and make predictions during this process. i've observed dogs also using psychological tactics on their owners to get rewards. one example, my dog has demonstrated an ability to synthezise knowledge to get a reward. the best example i can show for this is a dog who gets a reward after being taken outside. through classical conditioning they learn every time they go outside they get a treat or reward. they then expect a reward each time they go out and go to the "bathroom". how does the dog know that if they LIE about needing to go outside, pretend to go in the yard, not go to the "bathroom" yet when they return they can likely expect a reward and demand one if they do not have some perception of action/reaction. consequential thinking by definition demonstrates an understanding of the concept of a future result. this is not instinctual behavior. it is decisive behavior. it demonstrates congitive thinking.
i think it seems very anthropocentric to assume we are the only mammals capable of understanding time. i've only used the example of dogs, however, there are many species of animals (mammals and birds specifically) who have demonstrated cognitive thinking, decision making, and an ability to synthesize knowledge. these three things all rely on an understanding of consequence and future outcomes. Pigs, horses, bears, cows are just some of the mammals where studies support time-based cognitive thinking.. i havent even brought up dolphins or primates who have demonstrated even higher levels of cognitive thinking.

There are also tests being conducted to use the entanglement to communicate with the past/future.

So many people give power to the words of this oriental scientist, just because he sounds smart. So much trust goes into nonsense just because a speaker sounds eloquent. Its how we got our president back in 2008. Trust of the "official sources" can be very detrimental.

@JDRED_Wallis As I recall, it was a legitimate experiment, but I can't recall by whom. The "eggs" were called that because of the shape. They were electronic devices designed to pick up signals the earth gave off whenever something of momentous import was going to happen. I'm not sure I remember the relationship, but it was something like this: people collectively could sense something pre occurrence, and the earth picked up on it (or vise versa). Much like a dog senses when you're anxious or sad or the phenomenon of the rise in missing dogs before earthquakes. The eggs registered it ( perhaps like a sisemograph). Their intent wasn't to predict things, but simply show how we're all interconnected even if we don't know it.

An advanced species would not manipulate the weather rather reinforce its natural state. To think we can dominate everything while being advanced is dumb. We cant even fathom the repercussions of screwing things up by trying to manipulate. Take notes and reinforce the natural resources, dont try to control anything. That is futile

And your credentials are? Phd, published author in peer reviewed journals, full professor at a prestigious university? Or simply one of the billions of earthlings with access to google?
This man has earned the right to speak with authority. It’s cool to disagree, but the good Dr. deserves respect. He has earned it. He functions at an intellectual level that you and I will never reach, even with google at our fingertips.
Disagree with the man, but don’t trash him unless you are truly a peer and can support your “trashing” with facts.
Sorry to be long winded, but this man is one of the true genius’s alive today. I hate his politics, but I respect his passion.
