ST got wayyyyy too many tubas to be playing these basic fanfares. DT pulled off technical fanfares with a section half the size. You can clearly hear who filling up the horns outta these sections too. Just bcuz yo sound spreaded out more doesn’t make you a more solid section. I can guarantee DT sound travels further than ST’s🤦🏾♂️ from a musician POV I’m disappointed in this battle.
Tennessee state tubas have been trying to up 1 off dawg team for years and have consistently lost. They might not be a bad section but they won’t ever be the baddest tuba section that title belongs to DT. Maybe y’all can try this with another swac school

The fanfare at 2:16 is the only good and new fanfare tnsu played. Everything else is just the same recycled quarter note mess from 7 seasons ago with some added chords and small changes. I’m not even gonna speak on whatever that was they were trying to poot out at 4:40

they only marched with 16 tubas to fit the box they were sitting in JSU have a total of 26 tubas they only brought 16 to fill the space they had as supposed to when they had fitted out the section of the stadium with the full 33 tubas they had
I got to give tnsu silver thunder the slight win for power & clarity but jsu really made it close especially when tsu had to leave and they dropped 2 more on them
