Got his autograph when I was a nine-year-old at a Pistons basketball game🔥 Chris Perry what a legendary player & really nice of him to give his young fans an autograph during his free time #goblue
This Tony Chris I was on the fork union jv team I remember we had to scrimmage yall myboi chris is a DOG!!love watching him play we had good times at fork union wish I would've stayed now that I look back......
Normally, they would have taken a knee. But Penn State kept calling their timeouts during the final minute, which was pointless. After they kept doing it, I think the coaching staff got ticked off and said, "Screw it. Run the ball in." That ticked off the PSU fanbase but it was pretty hypocritical on their part since JoePa was long known to run up the score on teams much worse than this. They could dish it out but couldn't take it.
One of the few backs that actually got lighter on their feet as they got older. Most people add too and fill out their frame as they grow in college but Chris Perry showed up in college shape day 1. You can see by his junior year, he had become lighter on his feet and was able to move around better than when he was younger.
I hope Fitz can restore the Michigan Running Back. Rich Rod screwed us on that one. Although he did give us the best athlete in the country. We need to get back to the Mile Harts, Chris Perry's, Tim B's, Tyrone Wheatleys. We have always had excellent backs who love to stay for 4 years.
Chris Perry, wow, good memories, WH. :) Just to think he was going to leave after his freshman year, when Lloyd Carr told him he probably wasn't going to cut it.
Perry's mom apparently visited AA after hearing his son was thinking of transferring and basically convinced him to work hard and stay at Michigan. Perry was not too happy about the lack of playing time and he and Coach Carr butted head at times. But, Perry took his mothers advice and won over Coach Carr in the process.
She moved to Ann Arbor from Virginia after his freshman season, I believe. She started 'Ann Arbor Magazine' while she was here. Don't know if it's still in print. She was also battling cancer at the time.
+Brett11996 it was more of him getting hurt that put him behind rudy johnson at the time, and cuz rudy did surprisingly well annd eventually became a pretty great effin tailback though he wasn't near as good as Perry was before the number of injuries he had and that's the prime reason they went with him instead as the guy to step in for Corey Dillon leaving.
He sucked with the Bengals. Only lasted a couple years. He was a huge fumbler. We took him over Vince Wilfork in the first round. We didnt even need a Running Back.

Also, it was a time where margin of victory was more important than today
He definitely slimmed up during his career at Michigan. He looked pretty big his Freshman year.
Another great back

Favorite Michigan back ever!
Perry was HARD back in the day!! He ran all over Ohio St. And was a game breaker!!
One of the first Michigan men I had the privilege to watch at the Big House! Go Blue!
51 carries against Michigan State. Greatest RB performance I've ever seen. The boi couldnt walk after the game

If not for injuries in the pros Chris Perry would've been one of the best(if not the best)in the NFL.
Lucky you sir, that was the first overtime game at Michigan stadium!
Best rb in Michigan history ?
Blake Corum

Perry always concerned me as a fan watching him get up as slowly as he did, you never knew if he was injured after a run ha.
New Year's Day 2003, Outback Bowl.
WOW really what made him stay? and where was he going to transfer to? I dont rember that but when he started I was 12!
Can we get a Pierre Woods tribute or a Leon Hall?
What year was that when they played florida?
So disrespectful what they did against penn state
Can anyone advise what he's doing with himself these days? He's not that old.
