False. Tariffs effectively level the playing field and protect American industry, American workers. If China builds huge car manufacturing plants in Mexico, builds cars with cheap labor, then plans to flood the US market with those cars, the US auto industry would suffer greatly. But those vehicles simply would not sell on the US market if they cost more.
The worst thing is that we paid the majority of his Tariff 's policies & mistaken notion that the Tariffed countries send a check for the percentage he's tacked on. What type of complete moronic lunatic doesn't understand the basics of micro or macro economics and then has the nerve, the audacity to call the gentleman who is running this forum wrong. Tariffs are paid by importers. Importers add this cost/taxes to the goods they sell. The vast part of Americans pay for these goods. We're talking trillions. My question is, why would the vast majority of Americans vote for these taxes? Nonsensical at best.
