    I was at Myrtle Beach Thursday and Friday first time with D2 and I got some signals so deep I had to give up on them… all I can say is that the D2 is a BEAST of a machine…

    Very interesting,
    I purchased and swung the deus 2 for three weeks, I must have been unlucky as I had to replace the control box due to it being unstable everywhere, second control box was stable and very quite but had absolutely no power/death. Last straw was the aerial weeping up sea water inside its core, sent it back and got a refund. Your deus 2 seems to be working spot on. Good luck to you

    So, one thing I’ve noticed with the D2 is that it just really acts differently with the slightest adjustments and fluctuations in emi. Not like the nox where it’s pretty much the same on 22-24 sens or 4-6 recovery. I know there are differences but the Deus 2 seems to act differently even one minute to the next. That just tells me it’ll A: take a while to learn and B: really has the ability to dial into any given environment. Your videos have been great to see. One of the few who have been very skeptical of this machine starting to get good results is very encouraging.

    That was very interesting. I now see that the 11” coil is the way to go with that machine.
    You’re comment about the Nox flooding reminded me of my old ATPro that I have water hunted at lakes for years.
    For 8 years I hunted the lakes with it and half way through I backed over the upper shaft with my car! Since I am not a tall man, I just sawed out the bent part and was good to go.
    Finally after about 8 years it flooded after about 4 hours in the water.
    Garrett fixed it for $200.
    It being ran over four years earlier probably weakened the seal on the housing.

      9” coil is better on hitting small gold rings

    • @Yabble508
      @Yabble508 2 роки тому

      The seal on your machine is just old. I don’t think it had anything to do with you running over the detector. You had 4 years of use after that. It was just time to be replaced. Seal don’t last forever.

    The dive depth on the deus 2 is 20 meters
    You cannot get the 11 inch coil to be quiet at the water. Best you can do is lower sensitivity a little. Once you are under water it will "crackle" and bing a little at the end of the sweep. But you will know when you hit a target. If you want to run silent in the water or from wet sand into the waters edge just use dive. It works really good.
    Ps.you don't need a lot of "reaction" on the beach anything over 1.5 is a waste unless maybe your talking dry sand up by the dunes where the large amounts of trash are.

    Great video. I wonder if you get the same results from different beaches or do you have to set up a test garden at each beach. I was not a believer in the the deus but as everyone is tweaking the settings I see it as a great tool. Keep the testing videos rolling!

    Good video was wondering if your buddy with the CTX did he have the saltwater on or off I run a CTX also and the Nox 800 usually my wife will run the 800 while I'm running the CTX 🦀

    • @EZtech
      @EZtech 2 роки тому +1

      At the very beginning of the test I had the salt water turned on but after the CTX did not see the open hoop earring I turned it off in hopes that it would see it. I normally run the sensitivity between 18 to 22 and max out at 24 before I start getting too much falsing. In this case I ran the sensitivity up to 26 which is the Max I have ever been able to get away with on this beach. The CTX still failed to see the open earring no matter what I tried. Hope this helps.

    The very reasons/complaints from those fellow hunters in your video is why I'm abandoning my Nox for the D2........I'm also glad I never invested into the CTX (price overkill)..Good machine but, not that much better for $2,500.

      Being able to see multiple targets visually on your screen, where each one falls in the FeCo range, and with sizing being able to actually show if you have a small or large targe is a huge advantage with the CTX.

      @@rivercitymetaldetecting9854 I'm sure it's a cool feature.....Every machine has it's advantages & disadvantages.......I'll still go with the D2 though because I prefer the design, weight and, construction.....I can hunt even longer now....It does go deep too!....Most of my hunting is on the beach......The D2 beach sensitive program works real good there......Minelab is good though & has carried me this far....I still own A Sovereign Gt, Excalibur, X-terra 705...All great machines!

      @@carlfr2977 I am curious about the D2. My only reservation is I always wait a year when any new product hits the market to make sure any kinks that may pop up get worked out.
      Don't think that I am taking a shot at the D2. Not how I roll. I think all machines within reason are good if you put the time in on them and learn them.
      I had another person jump all over me because of my approach as I think they thought I was slamming the D2 or something but that wasn't the case.
      A poster was asking about the D2 as they were considering one and I suggested they wait a bit for the reasons I posted here or if they are in a rush get a Nox as it has been on the market for a bit and any software issues that may have risen have had a chance to be worked out.
      He was a dealer and went bananas on me taking personal shots at me lol.
      All that told me was he cared more about his bottom line than his customer base.
      I want to see this machine on the market and in the hands of real world users on a larger scale than a group of testers for a bit of time before I consider one.
      More times than not there are problems early on with new releases.

    Gold rings or earrings that are open are almost impossible to find… I will tell you something I can guarantee you… if your digging everything… and you have never dug these things in real world conditions.. then your machine is not getting those targets… like chains.. even if you can get them in an air test (without pendant) and you never dig them in real time.. your not detecting them.

    I'm not a hater but bs is bs. Do everyday use at the beach, do dry sand, change to wet sand then the surf and then water, not a single setting changed, get 289 pieces of gold including 28 gold chains and 8 gold bracelets, hundreds of silver pieces, 1000+ dollars in coins, 2 platinum pieces and the best is all in 1 year and only a couple of beaches and then you can make buy all the propaganda about your XP DEUS 2, the useless NOX and the blind Excalibur. I own a ctx and only flooded 3 times in 4 years, used almost everyday and 7-8 hours a day. Only one time needed to be sent for flooding. Stop the BS and get real

    • @MrBottlecapBill
      @MrBottlecapBill 2 роки тому +2

      That's flooding almost once every season. I wouldn't call that proof of it's reliability lol. The Deus from the factory has a much better depth rating than any of the Minelab machines. However, it's still new.........people may find the Deus 2 flooding over time, once that salt water gets to work on them. For now they seem pretty reliable. The real test is when there are so many machines out there that factory tolerance issues are exposed.

    • @jenniervelazquezdelpino3017

      @@MrBottlecapBill I'm not saying it's a bad machine but every channel is pushing people to buy it without real day to day test in the water. Hunting 4-5 times a week for several hours each time tells you how reliable a ctx is.
