At least the lows in this game are very easy. None of them would be tedious. So many bosses tho that some we can just consider regular enemies with healthbars.
I have to disagree, there easy yes, but when the awful is a boss with hit boxes so bad that dark soul 2 couldn't handle it or just hold on and pray on stats, that's far worse than say bad of chaos or ring bosses like alma
Yeah when I replayed the games there is rarely really any boss that made me go "ahh fuck not this guy again", they are either mediocre but easy or hard but very fun. Either way it's a good time.
Wouldnt say Daoist and Kang Jin Loong are awful bosses. They are disappointing for their portrayal and mechanics, but not garbage tier like the worst bosses in this game or Fromsoft/Team Ninja games.
Probably because I used a staff weapon instead of spear and mainly with pillar stance when I fought hundred eye Daoist Master, I didn't have much trouble with his hitbox and could connect most of my hits. But now I see in this video the hitbox truly looks terrible for spear weapons and non-pillar stances.
I think the hitbox issue is a pretty universal complaint when it comes to hundred-eyed. I still ranked him C tier simply because his presentation and visuals were pretty fantastic, and despite being frustrating both his hitbox and debuffs are... workable (for the hitbox: aim your attacks diagonally, and don't use the thrusting heavy attack). I also don't really think having no combo variations is that big of a deal if the base moveset is large enough. It's also really cool how the spiders help you during the first fight, and then he has some damage taken for the next fights.
@@Mr.Starlight_gaming I read the patch notes and honestly I was disappointed at the damage reduction but if that's a change they did move set wise then I'm happy about that. That move was literally the only move I had an issue with everything else was fine. Hopefully the other changes aren't too much different then. and they kept the boss relatively the same.
Damn, I didn't think they were that shameless with the cloud deer. I thought it was but a hommage, but when you put the comparison it's straight up stolen. How sad because I actually enjoyed the fight
i do think this is a game where skill issue just really isnt a factor. Youre given all these funky magics specifically to scew the fights in your favor as much as possible, as is the spirit of the monkey king. Even the secret spear heaven guy everyone thinks is the hardest boss in the game I trivialized by focusing on his weakness. Son Wukong himself, to me, is actually the hardest boss, as there are no real shortcuts to beating him, at least as far as I know. And he'll even bullshit you right back.
Several corrections... First, for the Feng Tail General, his 2nd "phase" is trivialized by the fireproof mantle. It's the answer to the puzzle. Second, Pale Axe Stalwart actually does help you with your third cart fight. From what I gathered, you need to speak to him again after defeating the first two.
I know the first one, I did mention fire resistance and thats what I meant. It's still a really bizarre "fight". And why would anyone talk to pale axe after killing only 2? I recall talking to him after killing 3 or 1 and he had nothing to say. Anyway his uselessness isnt why I put him in mediocre, its cus he's a nothing fight.
@@magicat7356 I'm not saying his fight is anything worth writing home about, but he does help you fight the silver cart under certain conditions. So not completely "useless."
Love the list, I'm currently cleaning up for the platinum myself, so I'm full of fresh impressions. Overall, I found the Supreme Inspector and the last phase of the final boss most difficult by far, even though the game is on the easier side of the spectrum overall. I heard a lot about Erlang before going in, but I was disappointed how easy he was by the endgame :/
Yeah because after experimenting with some others, most felt too slow and ineffective in comparison. WW was just quick, lots of damage and reliable. I have started using non able spirit now because its good against erlang
Honestly this game handels duo fights surprisingly well, the ball couple in chapter five were pretty cool among others. Also is the red mushroom mimic better than the others or did you forgor.
Yeah, Fromsoftware could learn from Wukong how to make gank fights. I think that these two heads were lame as fuck, but Stone Monkey and Top Takes Bottom and Bottom Takes Top were really good.
Nice list, but I'd put Hundred Eyed Daoist Master much higher and Budha's right hand, Old Ginseng Guai and some other bosses even lower and I'm surprised Captain Wise-Voice isn't near the bottom of the list. But I'm looking forward to the next videos, because some of Wukong's bosses can compete with finest FromSoftware bosses some of my favorites are Erlang, The Great Sages Broken Shell, Scorpion Lord, Yaksha King and Tiger Vanguard.
Yeah Hundred Eyed Daoist is lame asf, only two cool moment in the fight. One is having the spider sister helping you in the first minute of the fight looks awesome, and second is canceling his annoying domain expansion phase with the needle as it looks super cool the moment you shut it down as he is casting it. But other than that the boss is 😴 zzzzzz. And how tf is Captain Wise Voice not in the awful/bad tier.
Y’all I’ve been trying to fight Erlang and out of knowhere I get locked out of the fight I respawn at the shrine and the fight activates but there’s a invisible wall that I can’t get through I’ve been fighting him to before that I have no clue what happened
I’m very mixed on how this game force limits your options in some fights, like how Yellowbrow will turn your clones against you or how bosses will teleport away from your Stone parries sometimes. I think it encourages not relying on spells and using Spell Binder in some fights, but it still just sucks when one of your moves gets denied cause it could cheese the boss. They do it well in the Yin Tiger fight
Black myth easy bro demons souls is a fine game but it's easily the worst of them and Black myth is an such a blast the whole way threw you will not regret it
@@zero-yi6koI can agree but if they're in the mood for something a bit more atmospheric and methodical I'd say Demon's Souls is the better choice. Just two very different games.
i absolutely despised this game . it was unbelievably annoying and i geniunely think badly made. their sole purpose was to make bosses annoying with a couple being fun to fight. but the over relianc on needing to complete quests to counter specific bosses whilst these quests may be something not every player know exists let alone find is just stupid imo. it had potential but i think it missed the mark completely. i dont think it does anything more interesting than your average action souls ish game besides the number of bosses but most suck so why bother anyway
