As an Assemblies of God pastors kid who now is an adult who was a pastor for a season, I respect the Houston’s kids so much. I learned from them everything must come to an end and it cost the family the most. Much love

I just came across this podcast yesterday and wow - it was great. I haven’t really kept up with Hillsong news for some time and thought that Ben was still working for the church. I am sad about what he had gone through because it seems like he became collateral damage but I am impressed at how his passion and love for God upheld him through his difficult and dark days. It’s so easy to think all sorts of negative things about the Houstons and I am humbled to be reminded again that it is not my place to judge and God knows , sees and hears it all and there are 2 sides to every story. I really appreciate Ben’s humbleness and willingness to share and be vulnerable to testify. Thank you for doing this podcast and inviting Ben.

Thank you so much Past Rich and Past Ben for giving us this gift, there are no words to describe this beautiful conversation full of Wisdom, and I can't believe we get to receive it for free. We're truly grateful. Also I’m always honored for what the Houston's Family did for the Church, I love Hillsong and all the Hillsong guys, and I also believe that all the people from Hillsong are like Past Ben, these guys gave everything to the Church, God will reward them. Always Praying for Hillsong. Hillsong was truly a Hill of songs, a blessing to the Church.
Please also invite Joel Houston he is probably somewhere in the US.

Amazing podcast! We need to bring light for this topic: Burnout. Leaders are not superheros. Its amazing when you can recognize your own limit and be humble to stop to recovery. We are temple of Spirit. And this is so important as all the rest.

Everything we do for God, with the right heart, is recorded in heaven and God will reward every sacrifice, every painful experience, every persecution that we experience in our earthly journey.

Wow Ben that's an incredible testimony of the damage grandad Frank caused. All that pain an sickness proves that you were building a man made system with no help from the Holy Spirit. From all accounts if your dad was presiding over you with all that pain, my oh my its certainly a good thing that Hillsong made dad walk the plank. I hope you can discover the rest and peace of Holy Spirit. My advice is to turn your back on all your family has taught you and seek after the Holy Spirit. Same goes for Carl, you both were really sold the dummy from your family. My heart goes out to you. I hope the Hily Spirit can turn the lights on for you for once in your life. Your description of what you went through building the LA church sounds very tragic and extremely traumatic. From your account it appears you were living up to expectations of your father who was also from all accounts going through extreme pain and misery. God bless you for sharing and tearing the scab off.

HI EVERYONE!! We love the MATURE ME PODCAST! & we wanted to hop on this chat to say that we are a Christian-based Podcast aiming to show students and young adults of today that church can be FUN! If you'd like to take the time to check out our first episode and provide us any feedback that would be so appreciated! We will engage in spiritual conversations while adding in some real-life topics and how we can navigate as Christians living in a difficult society! Thank you and God bless!

Ben Houston seems like a really amazing human being. HUGE concern - 2016 he tells his dad BCH & GC HOWEVER this continued for 3 more years!! You tell your father/boss & oversight
BUT clearly they valued the church or the institution or their product - eg. 3k ppl who need connection groups!!!
WTF???!!!! Sadly this is NOT the first time I have heard this stuff about Hillsong!!
    OMFG!! Seriously
    This is your kid FFS!!
    Also a staff member
Clearly Ben loved the church MORE than BCH loved the church of which Ben , his wife & kids is part of!!
    That part saddened me greatly
Amazing human he seems to be
Let down by the Hillsong organisation
    😢

I notice in the video and in society with more Christian’s seem to be ok with saying Oh my God or omg. Isn’t this taking the Lord’s name in vain.

Ben read Hebrews and discover the Priesthood of Melchizedek and how it has usurped the Levitical priesthood. Hillsong was founded on the Levitical priesthood which is so lacking in liue of the Melchizedek Priesthood which is so perfect

My oh my, your generation has so been sold the dummy. Learning off Babylonian systems like Apple and Patagonia. That is the heresy from granddads legacy who taught that the world is smarter than Christians. Who in your generation is going to get deliverance from the toxic religious culture in your foundational teachings. Try to hunger purely after the Holy Spirit. Ben you have a beautiful soft gentle spirit, credit to mum and dad but my oh my I hope you can discover the deliverance and power of the Holy Spit in your own life. Its your turn going forward. Let Christ by the Holy Spirit come alive in you with so much power like never before. You are so precious, dont waste time on pagan Babylonian money making systems as your model. Pray in toungues always and bury yourself in Pauls Gospel

  • @davidsayers6609
    @davidsayers6609 3 місяці тому

Ben go back to basics and find a small group to pray in tounges for an hour or to. Seek deliverance from your historic teaching, create a clean slate and let Christ do the business for you. Not sure if you want this, sounds like you are still into self affort
