Think of it through an actual Superman fan perspectives.. the whole first half is a rendition of Superman 1978 with a few changes like Clark has a small ego and has to destroy a truckers life to pa Kent being diabolical and then the second half is Superman like Godzilla( destroy half the city for a fight killing 1000s ) to then having him snap a neck in order to win yikes. I’m glad art is subjective but I know truly you like synders take on Superman instead of the character himself which is why it’s hated so much people like me just wanted Superman and cause of him we couldn’t get any for the past decade

Man of steel is one of the best comic book movies ever made, Imo its the best superhero origin movie and first installment of a movie franchise.
I never understood the backlash to it and was actually happy it was different from the MCU, that's the point. Damn WB couldn't help themselves to butcher this franchise. If they just let Snyder finish his vision he'd be done by now and they could have rebooted it properly.

We should have supported him when we had the chance. I don’t recall all this support for the Snyderverse when Man of Steel and BvS came out. Numerous times I was the lone voice in the wilderness arguing for it, always outnumbered by so many. Teaches us a lesson. If you like something, make your voice heard about it.

The perfect universe. No better take on superheroes. Superman comes to Earth misunderstood and the only one that understands him at first is his parents. Once Jonathan is taken up in the tornado after trying to go for one last heroic act before he died, Clark must decide what kind of hero he will be. Then he ends up as the good one. Then BvS is just perfection at it's finest. Even the widely debated Your letting him kill Martha scene i understood. It was a great movie. Then there was Justice League that was miles better than the Josstice League. It had way better FX and Darkseid as the true villain at the end of the movie.

Who says it's dead? Warner Brothers? James Gunn? Who cares what they say? We want it. Snyder wants to make it. So we will keep fighting for it no matter how much people like you want us to stop, so trying to do so is "literally" wasting your time. Also, the four-five films listed here as the main films of the DCEU all made a profit, some hugely so.

Bro i defended BvS back in the day(when it came out) along with my uncle, dad and best friend. I grew up with Man of Steel, my uncle had a theory the priest was the Martian Manhunter(to this day i don't know if he got that from someone else). I loved the Snyderverse so much. I just wish we had watched the Snyder Cut in theaters back in 2017, everybody would have loved this movie.

The Snyderverse had so much potential. Man of Steel was a much more realistic approach to Superman's origins, inexperienced and learning. BvS didn't deserve the sh*t it received at the time. Most people didn't appreciate that it was inspired by Frank Miller's Batman, and the Lex Luthor could manipulate Batman because he's smarter than him. Justice League could've saved the DCEU, but the heads at WB thought they knew better. Honestly, it's directors like Zack Snyder, Christopher Nolan, and Tim Burton who perfectly captured DC's darker tone

Honestly if anything, even if people don't like the snyder justice league, I believe there has never been a push so hard for a release cut ever. I think that really speaks volumes for the fans and movie watchers and stick their middle finger up to hollywood.

It's a shame the studios are such a mess they couldn't see a sure fire hit right in front of them. Why can't executives just let film makers do their job and pour their heart into projects, like Zach did. Instead, they interfere and force changes that aren't necessary, and sometimes even go against what the Directors and Writers were initially paid to do. I've seen the Snyder cut at least 10 times all the way thru and played it at least twice a week in my shop since it was 4 hours long and was great background noise, since I could watch it in my head! Sucks we'll never see Snyder's Justice League 2&3 and his Man of Steel sequel. And we'll never see Affleck's Batman project.

As of late, I've been seeing an uptick in a lot of channels on youtube who've been releasing videos to show synderverse in a poor light and I'm 200% certain these are all working on behalf of WB. How else would James Gunn set up his universe without hammering out Snyder from the minds of people ! But they can try all they want, James Gunn will never top JL Snyder Cut.
I always preferred dceu over all other superhero fare, especially the synderverse. I watch bvs ultimate edition every year definitely one of the best comic book films ever.

We need Zack Snyder to do Justice League 2 & 3 so much and someone to direct/complete the Ben Affleck Batman Movie would be amazing also. These WB /DC people have wasted so much time and money on movies that are not right and don't fit with each other. They are still messing around with there bad direction and decisions since Zack Znyder finished and have turned much into a brightly colored joke. I hope they can fix things so we get to see movie stories finished how Zack wants and James Gunn can do what he wants. Man of Steel and BVS ultimate edition and Zack Snyder Justice League are the best start to the whole thing and have not been bettered. Joss-tice League is so bad they had to release Zack Snyders Justice League but they could not follow it up with quite good enough movies.

In 2011 WB was asking Snyder if the Kent's last name could be Jackson or could they be from Chicago instead of Kansas during pre production🤦🏼 Zack said no, and Nolan got WB to stay off his back. Then they force Snyder to do BVS instead of Man of Steel 2. Then they cut 40 minutes from the theatrical cut of BVS. Then they make David Ayer reshoot more than half of Suicide Squad into a vision thats not his. Then they snake Zack, recruit Joss to reshoot parts of Justice League instead of giving Snyder time to grieve. Then WB messes with Joss himself and gives him a 2 hour mandate. Whether you like Zack or not, his actual Justice League would have made more money than BVS. The theatrical Josstice League made less than Man of Steel. WB basically spent money in 2017 to lose money. Then they get Gunn to direct another suicide squad movie. They screw Gunn over by releasing it on streaming services while it was in theaters.. which hurt the Box office. They go get Keaton, and say he'll be in Batgirl, and a few other movies. They scrap Batgirl after he shoots his scenes. So now... what Keaton originally signed up for is not happening. Sasha (super girl) only gets to be in the flash with no future in DC. They never made a solo Batfleck movie where he goes against Deathstroke. They said no to a low budget Deathstroke movie that would have cost less than 70 million to make. They made Todd Phillips find funding else where for 2019 Joker and other companies reap the rewards of that billion dollar movie. Billion dollar Aquaman should have been prioritized, and production for part 2 should have been done before the pandemic hit. I could keep going. Warner Brothers is a train wreck when it comes to DC properties due to management. Nolan was the only person who got to make a concrete trilogy without much f^ckery. WB even alienated him away. I'm looking forward to the Amanda Waller show instead of Darkseid invading Earth & fighting the Justice League😂🤣

I think the batman killing thing was massively exaggerated. The only time you directly see batman killing was during the knightmare sequence. And during that time the world was not only overrun by parademons but also human beings who had succumbed to the “anti life equation” via a victorious darkseid! My question to detractors would be “would you prefer batman to karate chop his way through all this??”.
Also in BVS he was dealing with criminals using military grade weapons.... so if he flings a car at them and they don’t get out of the way then it’s their problem!!!
FURTHERMORE batman was branding REAL human traffickers and REAL r*apists. Do snyder haters think that these people should be treated delicately???

I grew up with Man of Steel and Batman Vs Superman. As someone who’s not afraid to look at something from his childhood and say “yeah I kind of hate this now”, I still think the Snyderverse holds up, and has gotten better with hindsight. The Superman in Man of Steel is not Superman, the Batman in BVS is not Batman, even though leaks of who they are pop out from time to time, but that’s the point. I view the Snyderverse as an origin story that reaches its end in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. That movie is much more optimistic and hopeful compared to the first two movies, because it’s about how the Dc heroes become who they are (or in the case of Batman, how he returned to the way he use to be). Now, I do prefer when the Dc characters are the way they are supposed to be from the start, but that doesn’t mean having them develop is a bad way of doing things (The Batman also went for the development route, and people loved that movie). If you watch Man of Steel, BVS Ultimate Edition, and Zack Snyder’s Justice League in a vacuum, it makes for a really good trilogy. That being said, I am excited for what James Gunn has in store.

All I will say is this; if a movie isn't good unless it's allowed to be three to six hours long, then it shouldn't have been a movie in the first place. It should have been a miniseries. So all this video did was change the argument from "Zack Snyder shouldn't be involved in this genre" to "Zack Snyder shouldn't be involved in this medium."
The Snydercut is only 4 hours and BvS is 3 hours. I think the length is great

What Snyder’s Superman and the Snyderverse failed to do for me is to care about people and the characters. They didn’t feel real to me although the cgi was pretty good.

All of it, it was not relatable. And there was no nostalgia about Superman character. When he was a reporter, you couldn’t relate to any of the sequences they filmed during his interactions with people. When father Kent was sucked up by the tornado and Clark started crying, I just didn’t feel it. It’s not because I don’t feel characters in movies, but I was not invested in the character. The movie failed to do that for me.

The snyderverse was just a horrible cynical take DC and its heroes, and it started with man of steel. Man of steel is just a terrible Superman movie that doesn't understand who Superman is as what he stands for. Not only did that film not understand the basics of why Clark is Superman at all, but it did a terrible job with Jonathan Kent by having him discourage Clark when he saved a bus full of people (the "maybe" scene just goes against human decency) and having Jonathan Kent die when his death could have been avoided without Clark having to reveal himself. Plus unlike in Superman 2, man of steel did have Superman blatantly kill Zod. Superman didn't kill Zod in either version of Superman 2, and it was never planned for Superman to do so. The deleted scene that had the depowered Kryptonians and Lex Luthor arrested, that was placed in the televised version of Superman 2 proves that. Not to mention that the Donner cut had Superman place the kryptonians back in the phantom zone, so Superman didn't kill Zod in either version of Superman 2. It's really annoying that people try to defend Superman killing Zod in man of steel by bringing up Superman 2 when Superman didn't kill Zod in that film. Man of steel was still just a terrible Superman movie. Even BvS was better than man of steel when handling Superman, but it still didn't do right by Superman. In his first scene, Superman rams a normal human through multiple walls, showing that he hasn't learned anything from man of steel. Not to mention that Superman does a very poor job trying to convince Batman during their fight, when his own mother's life is at stake. Not to mention that Superman's death and funeral are so unearned in BvS. The people turned against Superman so easily that it's so hard to believe that Superman sacrificing himself to stop BvS Doomsday would have been enough to sway public approval. Of course it's controversial. Wonder Woman movie actually did a great job with Wonder Woman and it benefits from not being directed by Zack Snyder. I honestly prefer the theatrical cut over the Snyder cut because it actually has the heroes be like heroes and has Superman actually being Superman. The snyder cut just made me give up on the snyderverse and just showed how Zack just doesn't understand DC. There are flaws that the Snyder cut has that Snyder's fans just are going out to ignore because they don't like the theatrical cut. Martian Manhunter is a wasted cameo that actually could have done more to help in the situation and was actually a detriment in this films. Darkseid being in the Snyder cut actually caused more problems as it created a huge plot hole that Zack's fans don't want to acknowledge and that even Zack doesn't properly address. Darkseid's inclusion in the flashback battle, especially when it concerns the anti-life equation, his biggest obsession, only creates the plot hole of why he can't find the earth when he was there himself, and why Steppenwolf doesn't immediately realize that earth is the planet that Darkseid lost to when it has the motherboxes that Darkseid lost in that past battle when it is apparently well known on Apokalips according to Desaad and Steppenwolf. Not to mention that the way Darkseid is defeated in that battle just makes him and Steppenwolf look bad. Speaking of Steppenwolf, while there are improvements to his character in the Snyder cut, it still is missing crucial bits to his character motivations such as why he betrayed Darkseid in the past, how it impacts the story outside of his banishment from Apokalips, and why he is so eager to return to Darkseid's good graces even as a means to go home. Just seems like missing bits from the main antagonist of the Snyder cut, who ultimately dies in the end. I also have to add that Darkseid does more in the past and a potential future than he does in the present of the Snyder cut. Not to mention that I remain convinced that Darkseid wasn't supposed to be in the flashback battle but was added in when fans complained about Darkseid not being in the theatrical cut. I can go on about how the Snyder cut messed up Wonder Woman's character by having her inspire a girl by killing terrorists, and how the film messed up Superman by having him not learn anything from man of steel or BvS after he is resurrected and wearing the black suit for no reason when his powers were intact and more than enough to defeat Steppenwolf, along with the unnecessary brutality against an enemy that he already had pinned down, but I've gone too long on why I hate the Snyder cut. It's just an awful representation of DC, and I am glad that it and the snyderverse are done for good. Zack simply is the worst director for Superman and DC in general and it's reflective in all of his films.

Friend, do you know that Snyder was the producer of the first Wonder Woman and personally controlled the filming process, and his people worked on the script, thanks to him the film turned out cool.
The second part was made without Zack and the company, so it turned from a serious film (almost a military drama) into a Disney fairy tale in the worst sense of the word.
The same can be said about Aquaman.
the main problem was that superman was made wayy too op. This made other members of JL like aquaman, cyborg , wonder woman and batman completely useless. The 3rd act of man of steel should have been in JL movie. Mos should have had some other villain. Bvs was completely and utterly disgusting.

I'm now done with DC. I didn't watch Battinson as he looks like a lanky teenager and I'm not interested in James Gunn's Superman who looks more like Superboy.
