To avoid any confusion... "The 1989 World Tour" is just the name of the tour. This performance happened in 2015, as it is stated in the description and on the video itself (0:13). Why is that the name? Taylor named her fifth studio album, "1989", after her year of birth, therefore, that was the name given to her forth headlining tour, in support of this album. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
4:04 when taylor just gets her eyes right into his for the lyrics "Deep in her eyes I think I see the future." haha perfect. i imagine it would be tough performing with the worlds biggest star just staring you down real fast. but i love it
In a world where music was the key to power, the epic orchestral version of Walk the Moon's "Shut Up and Dance" held the fate of the nation. The arrangement, crafted by the brilliant Bill Baylis and Simon Stewart, was a political drama that captivated the hearts of millions. The story began in a time of great turmoil, when the government had grown corrupt and oppressive. The people were crying out for change, but their voices were silenced by the iron fist of tyranny. Enter our hero, a young and fearless musician named Emma. She had always been drawn to the powerful melodies and driving beats of "Shut Up and Dance," and she saw in the song a rallying cry for the oppressed. Emma began to play the song at every protest and rally, using its infectious energy to inspire the people to stand up for their rights. The government, fearful of the song's potency, tried to silence her, but Emma was undeterred. As the political drama unfolded, Emma's music became the soundtrack to the revolution. The epic orchestral version of "Shut Up and Dance" grew louder and more powerful, echoing through the streets and inspiring the people to take action. With each passing day, the song's message of resistance and hope spread further, until the entire nation was united in a cry for freedom. The government, realizing the power of the music, was forced to listen to the people's demands, and slowly but surely, reform began to take hold. And through it all, Emma's music continued to inspire and motivate, a testament to the enduring power of art to change the world. The epic orchestral version of "Shut Up and Dance" had become a beacon of hope in a time of darkness, a reminder that even the most oppressed can find the strength to rise up and demand a better future.
UNRELATED: I'm a graduating civil engineering student and when Taylor said that "there are 60k people in here and I want you to jump..." (not exact words) I honestly.. immediately think of designing a stadium and consider that kind of live load 😂 edit: 1-yr later I'm already a licensed civil engineer, and Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour just created a 2.3 magnitude "quake" at Seattle 🤣
It's Foxborough, it has to deal with NFL crowds. The stadiums I worry about are the college football stadiums that have to manage Enter Sandman or Penn State's White Out.
First time I've seen this and I have to say I never thought I would hit a like button for Taylor Swift but she got it here. Wish I could have been there at least for this one song. Man, I actually found Tay-Tay singing something I liked. Most grateful thanks for posting this.
Look, I was a HUGE Grateful Dead fan. So all this interacting with the audience, massive amounts of stage production, etc. -- wasn't really my "thing." The Dead, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, I could go on and on. But let me say this: GOD DAMN, CAN TAYLOR PUT ON A SHOW!!! :) You watch these performances from the 1989 Tour and the energy, the glee, the explosive happiness -- it's all just incredible! I can't see her this year on the Eras Tour (or won't; it's complicated), but man would that be fun. What an absolutely exuberant lady! :)
🎵oh don’t you dare look back!🎵 🎵just keep your eyes on me!🎵 🎵I said you’re holding back!🎵 🎵she said SHUT UP AND DANCE WITH ME!!!🎵 🎵this woman is my destiny she said… SHUT UP AND DANCE WITH ME!!!!!
Getting 60,000 people to jump at the same time can create a resonance in the stadium and if done with everybody doing at the same time, can potentially demolish the stadium.
It's Foxborough Stadium in Massachusetts where the New England Patriots play arguably the best team in the NFL for the last 20 years. So I'm positive 60,000 people jumping wont demolish the stadium. Lol
Absolutely false 😂 These stadiums are built to withstand earthquakes lol. You could fill it beyond capacity and make everyone jump and it wouldn't affect it at all 😂 Not to mention, the majority of those people are in the moshpits on the ground.
Absolute rubbish. after the third quarter at Camp Randall, with a capacity of over 75,000, they play "Jump Around" and the entire stadium jumps up and down. The idea that these newer stadiums would collapse is frankly ludicrous.
This is a Walk the Moon song, dk why the cameraman points everytime to Taylor. Even if it's a singed by both, should been recorded at least an equiparable time.
Imagine of Madonna had made that 1,6 million people jump at the same time on the sands of Copacabana about a month ago during her Tour closing concert! 😮
If you want better audio, go to the show... or better still buy an offical recording (If you can find one..) . I don't particulary think phone recordings are a great idea, but generally they are the only thing that many of us will get to see for free..... and we should be thankful that someone stood and got arm-ache trying to film it... rather than having fun....
Agreed, it wasn't the best xD wtm def wasn't into the touchy stuff. but i wud be too lol. i mean its TayTay. Lemme do mah thing ova heeya plz. Physical references in lyrics do not need to be acted out mmkayy. But wtm is great live period.

I was at this show in 2015 & the way the stadium shook with all the jumping & dancing was unforgettable!!! Truly a once in a lifetime feeling 🤍

Heaven on earth. Wish I was there too
Idk about heaven. Cool! But not heaven.. heaven would be seeing nirvana live for the first time. Or soundgarden. Or Led Zepplin with John Bohnam.
