It is. I first heard ‘This Love’ on UCB radio. Obviously we would need to listen to radio 24/7 to catch them when they’re played. Lol

I just came out about how I was abused to my parents and I’m looking for help. It’s hard to tell about it and I feel like my world is shaking but this song reminds me that God is my rock. It grabs my head and makes me at my Gods mercy, grace and power in my life. He’s my deliverer! And I’m running to him. Amen! All is well! Praise God!

Ashley, remember that it is the joy of the Lord that is our strength! When we have been mistreated by others, it is tempting to derive our worth and value on how they treated us. But that is not where our worth comes from, but rather our worth and value and identity come from the Lord. As someone who has faced a lot of verbal, emotional and physical abuse through the years, I can tell you I am so proud of you for telling your family. Not keeping it a secret is the first step to freedom. I can tell you that the Lord is faithful and true and He loves you, He loves you, HE LOVES YOU! Over and over in many places in the Old Testament but especially in Isaiah, the Lord tells us that no more will His people be put to shame!
Isaiah 51 is a scripture the Lord gave me one day in prayer. That scripture was like a promise to me and it brought me so much reassurance since I was able to leave that bad situation into a safe place where the Lord could heal me and redeem me. I hope it will bring you and anyone else trying to overcome a history of abuse comfort. He is our shelter, our rock, our Redeemer, our strength!
Continue to lean on and trust in the Lord, Ashley, and He will heal you! God bless!
Maria H I’m going to read Isaiah 51 then. Precisely today I was feeling down because I the person who did those things to me so much for the last few days (still lives in my house) but I’m reminded in Gods love and me racing this comment right now reassured me that, God’s in the situation. I don’t have to fear that person and I can move on. It’s been difficult. Extremely difficult. Crying consistently and the confusion on the situation but God is in control so I’m letting go and going as far as forgiving who did this to me. Hopefully soon, I’ll forget everything that happens and if I remember. Let me reminder to Glorify God name!

I just wanted to give you a tip, do your best not to claim your illness but rebuke those thoughts and feelings in Jesus name and give them to Him. We can often trap ourselves further by thinking this issue is connected to us and we call it ours. It’s harder to surrender it that way. Just wanted to say that. No harm meant just wanted to share that truth with you. God bless you.

It reminds me of what I am studying in my math classes. A lot of the work I am doing now is focused on why math works, the reasons why certain principles hold. Even though the proofs are true many of them cannot be represented in a tangible/applied way. The same can be said of God. He works in realms that we have never seen, in dimensions we've never traveled, but under His rule everything holds together. We can find rest in Him because even when things seem to fall apart around us, God is securing things elsewhere, in a place unknown to us. Even if we cannot see or feel God, that doesn't mean He is not there.
