I can’t say that our company don’t treat us well at YELLOW YRC but now with the merger in the west Reddaway is a bit better they thank you for working hard but still no pension or better pay because company loses money? How? A giant corporate loses too much? I think they hide the money too and hope O’Brien can help a year from now at negotiations.

@@PuffPuffPass0420 because I’m better off getting paid twice as much, getting full benefits, pension, paid vacation up to 7 weeks, discounted stock purchases, and guaranteed 40 hours a week. The people doing the same work as me at other companies don’t get that, and it’s a shame, because they deserve it. Unions aren’t needed everywhere but where they are there is a clear benefit to being in one.
I'm from Chicago that's the way the union operates they should take him outside and give em a tuneup.

I will answer the question. How can unions say they are for the workers and NOT agree with right to work states???..Its very simple. Unions provide a service to the workers. They negotiate wages, benefits, working conditions, and also put in writing the steps to be taken in matters of discipline, safety measures, and minimum training standards, and quality of work to be preformed standards, just to name a few... All agreed upon in advance in the contract. Union employees pay dues to pay the lawyers involved in writing these contracts.. In a right to work state,republicans have written rules that state that the union has to cover ALL the employees. AND THAT IS BULLSHIT...If somebody wants to benefit from the work of the union. then they damn sure better PAY for it. If they don't want to join FINE then DON'T But don't take the wages, benefits, holidays off, etc that the union negotiated for. Take the minimum wage and medicare and continue to vote red....

Teamster for 18 years. My dues are about 26 cents a hour. Well worth it considering I make 7 or 8 dollars more a hour than my non union counterparts.

The first sentence in this video is a huge, flat out lie. I have many friends and family that are UPS employees. I also am a former UPS employee. I beleive he meant to say, maybe an average of $35 an hour. Although that still sounds a little low to me. A feeder driver for those that don’t know is a tractor trailer driver, that feeds the smaller centers and trucks…. This information is from someone who hates both the union and UPS. We have to speak up when we see such obvious lies like this.

Ups truck driver makes 100k without counting benefits. The union is a yes or no when applying so I think he needs to do more research lol. Oh and sleeper team drivers make up to 130k a year. Not including benefits.

Now I'm not against Unions, I was a Teamster, my father was a teamster and by the way when my Dad retired after 30 years as a tanker truck driver his pension was only $350.00 a month. After he died, my mother received nothing from his Teamster pension. Till this day we could never get a answer. I say, if you want to waste your dollars on Union memberships, your not going to get much as far as a pension..
You need to give more specifics on that. Because I've yet to meet anyone that was part of a union for 30 years and only got $350.00 a month for pension.

i was in the union for a comm company, and it was useless... i filled a grievence report a couple of times and the paperwork just sat in the union stuards desk for over a year, never resolved. all the unions did is protect the workers that didn't learn anything or was always calling out sick. i called a union meeting with a supervisor after the workers promised to show up,.. resulted i was the only one to swhow up... the union stuward got 1 day off to address union bussines, and all it it meant for that guy was just a day off from work...he never addressed union stuff at all.. i paid union dues for that crap.. i ended dropping out after i saw the crap being pulled in the unions...and the coup de graw, was they would fight for our pay raises, after walking the picket lines, the the democrats would take it away in taxes for another social program... i drooped out... never again
I've been in 2 different teamsters locals.
1 was not so good as far as pay , pension. 2nd is very good. Retire at 53 with 100k pension and I keep my insurance until Medicare eligibility

It's an indisputable fact that union workers earn more than non-union workers and enjoy better benefits also. Why do you think companies spends millions and millions in anti-union propaganda? They are very much afraid of losing the power to overwork, underpay and otherwise mistreat their workers.
Of course, unions are not perfect as they are still run by humans and humans are extremely flawed creatures, but they are by far the better alternative compared to right-to-work laws. I can only suggest you do some research on the topic.
