Booking from Agoda is also cheaper most of the time and they have Pay Later and Pay at the Property options. Hostelworld also allows you to book and pay only a portion of the cost for the reservation. When flying in late, I also check if the airport has Transit hotel and if this is affordable.
This is the best video I’ve seen and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for actually putting in very helpful tips that are practical and can assist someone that is just starting their plans and don’t know where to begin. Thank you!!
I'm so glad this was helpful :) Thank you for your support!
Amazing video!! Love love love how organized you are!! Well done!
Thank you so much Laura! I really appreciate it :)
Thanks for providing this spreadsheet. You are so organized. I am literally everywhere when it comes to considering what countries and cities I'd like to hit for my two weeks solo trip in December. But your breakdown really help me put things in perspective on how I need to plan for this upcoming trip.. for future reference could you possibly give us a financial breakdown of how you spend or save money during your travels.? That would really help out a lot.
Thanks again.🙏🏾
Yes I was thinking the same thing about budgeting and how you save to go
Hello Angela! Thank you for this content and I hope you had a great Europe trip! I’m planning to embark on a solo trip next year as well and feel some anxiety (as a female solo traveller, etc.) but watching you do it somehow made me feel better! So thank you for the advice and continue doing the things you do!
Aw thank you so much Olivia! This really means a lot to me :)
Let's go girl. I'm also going solo from Canada in June. This def helps when you wanna travel as a solo female..
thanks for providing us with amazing and informative content!!
LOL of coursee, anytime :))
Hi Angela! My girlfriend and I have been loving binging your videos in preparation for our one-month trip to Europe in July. We would love to look at your google maps lists if that's possible. Thank you and we hope your trips were amazing :D
Hey Emmet! Thanks for watching my videos. Let me know which cities you will be going to and I’ll send you my google maps lists for each city :)
Hi! Im planning a trip for myself this summer and would love to see your google maps list for Dublin and Berlin! thanks so much and your video is super helpful for my planning
Thank you Angela for this content;. I am at the beginning stages of planning a trip to Europe. Would you please share your spreadsheet with me? Thank you.
Hi Angela! I’m in the process of planning a month long backpacking trip to Europe, is there anyway I can get this spreadsheet to better organize my itinerary?!
Is it just one "brand" of train to choose from? I'm interested in travelling to Brussels and Vienna - probably flying into London. Never took any trains within Europe, so not certain where to start with it. Will prob look at flights too. I see that the Eurostar from London to Paris is like at least a couple hundred bucks on the cheaper end. Thanks for any insights.
Such an amazing and detailed video, Definitely Gonna use this soon (I’m 15 and broke)
Haha thanks for watching! Wishing you lots of amazing travels in the future.
@@AdultingwithAngela haha thanks. I'm actually making itineraries for fun now to get to know the process, and maybe ill use one once im in college. i made one for 10 european countries in a month. Cost is around 2,100 EURO which is amazing for a first time i guess. Saved alot on accommodation because i'll probably go with 3 of my mates. I'd love for you to review it if you're ever free.
Hey Angela and thank you for your vlog! I’ve always wanted to plan a Europe tour and travel for a prolonged period of time so your vlog is very helpful!
I have a couple of questions if you can help me with them!
1) How early did you book your flight from Canada to Iceland?
2) For booking hotels, do you recommend booking for their website directly or from a website like booking or agoda?
@@amenahbbustami6270 Thanks so much for watching! I booked my flight from Canada to Iceland about 2/3 months before. and for booking hotels, I typically book through booking.com because I like their interface and have found good deals, but definitely would recommend checking their direct booking site if possible. Hope this helps!!
Do you think I can still plan a month backpacking trip this summer in Europe ? Or do I need to plan with more months in advance?
Woow u plan out so specifically
haha i like to be prepared especially when travelling during peak season so i can avoid any disasters
Thanks for the video from a fellow Canadian. Could you please tell me if you backpacked or used carry on? I'm sorry if I missed it.
Hey Sammy! I took a carry on suitcase for my entire trip. I have a video all about what I packed: ua-cam.com/video/JwfWt7ciRRI/v-deo.html Hope this helps!
@@AdultingwithAngela thank you !!
Hey angela👋🏻 Im planning a trip this may and have a few questions if you can help.
In terms of train transportation how early did you purchase those ticket or is it ok to buy them the day before or the day of?
The same goes for hostels, is it ok to book them late?
Have you heard of Eurail and is it worth it?
Is taking buses within cities easy to navigate?
For now im planning to go to switzerland, venice, munich, vienna, prague, berlin, amsterdam, brussels, paris, then back to canada. If you have any recommendations in any of these places, i would love it! Thanks!
If you still have those google lists you have, it would be really helpful. Also i love the spreadsheets as well😆. Ive been loving making them while planning my itinerary and budget
Hey Kent! I'm so excited for you to go on your trip and happy to answer any questions :) Here are some of my answers:
1. For train transportation, you can usually just buy them the day of, but I typically like to pre-purchase them because I just like to feel prepared and reduce any uncertainty. I used trainline and omio to book most of mine, and I purchased the ones I knew I was definitely taking to get to my different destinations months in advance, but any short day trip trains the day before or the day of.
2. For hostels, again, I like to be prepared and reduce anxiety so I like to do my research on which hostels are the best and book early especially if I'm going during a busy season so that I don't end up at a crappy hostel or risking being homeless for a night.
3. I have heard of Eurail and I was considering it for my trip, but honestly, in Europe, the budget airlines are so cheap that it was usually cheaper and faster to just fly to my destinations, especially if they were far apart, which saved me from spending a lot of time on uncomfortable trains.
4. I honestly didn't take many buses within cities. I usually took the subway/metro whenever I was in big cities like Paris and Vienna. But most public transit in big cities is pretty reliable, so I would expect them to be easy to navigate.
5. I have sooooo many google maps lists, so let me try to link them all here:

Brussels: goo.gl/maps/zP7bGhgssdZG2tbM9
Vienna: goo.gl/maps/yWokWdLmcjQL4UHx5
Munich: goo.gl/maps/TMVcLqzwMw3tSn9z5
Venice: goo.gl/maps/Tyqzp9KBpUJuiA5v6
Hope this helps!! I love helping out other passionate travellers, hope you have the best trip!
@@AdultingwithAngela thanks so much angela! Very helpful
@@Kent_GM No problem! Glad I could answer some of your questions :)
Methinks your business career will be a professional traveler! 😃
Haha that is the dream
Hello, nice information. I have a question. Can I just show the barcode ticket from my phone in trains in Europe or I need it on paper printed? The same for the seat reservation.
Most of them are fine with it on your phone, it will tell you specifically for those that you need to print a paper copy! Hope this helps :)
@@AdultingwithAngela thank you!
