Hello - not totally sure I understand your question but to attach an indicator on any chart (1st, 2nd or 3rd etc) you would just right click on your chart and go to "indicators" - double clicking on the indicator you wish to add. You can create a new chart from the control center or you can create a new chart in a "tab" by hitting the "+" at the bottom of the chart. If I didn't quite answer your question, feel free to share some more details and I'll try again :) Thanks for watching!
hey. Just wondering how if i have multiple instruments on my watch list and wish to scroll through them to detect weakness strength on the target stock how i do that but keep the index remaining overlaid? thanks
Hey, i'm not sure you can by default... I've tackled this a different way. You might have seen the video we did on the Streamdeck (ua-cam.com/video/OjX3FMczk94/v-deo.html). I have a button on there i push, and whatever chart i have open the USD index in an overlay... might be an option that works for you - it's just a macro that is run when the button is executed. Sorry for the delay, the comment was flagged/hidden cause it had a url in it .. but I that fixed..
Hi, I would like to ask you if you know how to view a futures for example NQ but at the same time open operations on the micro MNQ. I ask you this because I use the volume profile and the volumes are very different between the two contracts so I would like to view those of NQ but when I click I would like it to act on MNQ. Can you help me? Thank you.
You can view the NQ and use a basic entry window to place your orders but chart trader will only place orders on the instrument your viewing. The basic entry window might work best for you.
Great question! Right click on the chart, go to Data Series. Under "Type" change it from Day (which is the default) to Range or Renko. Appreciate you watching!
already tried.. renko or range won't load on holidays? or, i might have some problem with the platform. it loads only on daily time-frame not even hours and mins. hope you will show me how to fix it.
+selva mech Gotcha. Ok so NinjaTrader allows you to customize bar charts for both daily and minutes separately. What that means is after you set it for daily in the bottom right of the data series window you will see Save as Presets. Save this preset so youll never have to change it again. When you go down to minutes you can go back into the data series and change that to the desired chart type and save that as the presets again. Will see if we can put out a video for you this week on NinjaTrader 8 chart types. If you need further help grab us on the live chat on our website xabcdtrading.com during the week (since its sunday we *might* not be online) but we can help you out during the week. Appreciate you writing back...let us know if that helps you out.
Hello, thanks for reaching out. If you mean 4 data series (4 instruments overlayed on one chart) then yes you can. In your dataseries you need to set the scale justification to "right" and the other 3 will all be "overlay" ... Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
@@Xabcdtrading yes thank you, but i don't work ? it's possible to send a picture ? ibb.co/k3yRRfq ibb.co/MNDGDwj i have put one chart (ES for right) and the 3 others charts on overlay but i see only one Thanks
That is happening because you've added the same instrument multiple times and only changed the label (and not actually added the instrument) which is why you don't see it. When you add the instrument correctly and not just change the label it will look like this -> www.screencast.com/t/qnnT8n6PZqRm (Notice the 4 price markers, BLUE, GREEN, PURPLE, YELLOW) along the side which indicate the overlay.
Sorry for the reply Peter, only just found out some comments held for review but not sure why. Just to make sure we answer you on this though people use overlay charts for correlation to see if there is a mutural relationship or connection between two or more instruments. Appreciate you watching and great question :-)
all your vids are extra helpful thank you guys so much i swear you guys even explain things better than ninjatrader themselves.
Aww, thanks Anthony! Always looking for new ideas and topics so if anything comes to mind just let me know... Appreciate you watching!
Thanks a lot, it was very useful and served as a quick look-up, so I didn't have to write to support and wait for them to respond..!!
Can we use tick replay for one chart and use normal chart for another????
Sorry, this comment was held for review for some reason. You won't be able to have a live chart and another being a tick data at the same time.
how to add indicators in the second charts instead of the first default charts?
