I had no idea Carol was on this Show. I didn't like Lucy as a Kid so I never watched it. I loved Carol though and watched her for years growing up. Oh well at least it's all new to me so I can forget this crazy Covid thing.
It was so fun and the entertainers were so cool and smooth doing physical comedy, telling stories, singing and dancing. Who could you find to do this today? Very few people I should think. More importantly who would watch it? Me I guess.
I loved them together.. Lucy was big backer of Carol getting her own show. Lucy was huge at CBS then...huge..maybe #1 star. All her series were in top 10 every week!
I absolutely adored the end number, the exciting tempo was perfect for both Lucy and Carol to showcase their abilities as skilled comic legends. I always enjoyed the musical numbers with Lucy and Viv and if it weren’t for my diehard love for Lucy, I probably wouldn’t have found an equal love for Carol.

I know I am young sometimes it's good to learn about shows like this from your parents. My father used to love classic western flicks before he passed away. So thanks for the historical facts.
The people that comments or whatever said that Lucy it was just sad that a lady her age was still trying to be funny. I agree with you she is funny and beautiful
"Where? Where?" asked Kenneth Mars in the 1968 Mel Brooks motion picture "The Producers". "There Wolf, there Castle" replied Farty Meldman in the 1974 Mel Brooks motion picture "Young Frankenstein"
When both performing in the end i must say lucy is more charming, though she was in her 50s at that time and no doubt she was more sophisticated dancer
Glenn Marshall I wondered if Carol was pregnant here? I know these A-Line dresses were popular but it would have been a great cloaking device to conceal her early pregnancy.
And Carol Burnett especially when she plays Eunice Higgins in Mama's Family. She has me dying laughing when she bleating in the background in the episode of Vinton Harper's wedding.
Lucy had to be in her 50s here and she looked incredible for her age I can almost swear she was in better shape and look even younger than she did in the I Love Lucy series.
Lucy looks great. Really really great. I wonder why I do not remember this show? This was in the 60's wasn't it? I was 4 in 64, 5 in 65 and so on, I guess we didn't watch TV that much although I remember the I Love Lucy reruns. Every night at 6 PM on WNEW NYC channel 5. Right after the Flintstones. Anybody remember the morning kids show called The Birthday Party? Every day it was someones B-day and it would start shortly after the days TV programming went on. TV was 7 AM to 11:30 Am back then.
i will give lucy credit...in I love lucy....she had 3 characters to play off of n viv was her sidekick.....this was the case in the 1st 3 seasons of lucy show. but after viv left the show lucy played off of many differenct guest stars but she n gale basically carried the lucy show and here's lucy...
At 6:50 people looked so much nicer in the way they dressed and carried themselves unlike today's ripped jeans, body piercings and tattoos up the neck!..lol
Wow thats soo beautiful and those dresses are ladies like in those days.. i need to built a timer machine to goo on the year 1960s to get me a pure gale and funny just like lucy and carol😎
Wonderful fun and just totally enjoyable. Lucy looks so pretty - hard to believe she is 57! I think 1968 is also the year she starred in "Yours Mine and Ours" with Henry Fonda. Nothing like starring in The Lucy Show; Heading Desilu Studio; starring in a major movie (which was so good), also raising Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz Jr.( I think they were 17 and 15 at the time). Helpful that she had a supportive and loving husband in Gary; also had a great relationship with Desi, re the children as well as various issues with projects. They both supported each other always. Very happy that they both had loving second partners. Lucie Arnaz said she finally came to terms with her parents divorce, realizing that there were two happy marriages, as opposed to one unhappy marriage.
Carol Burnett's talent out shown Lucille Ball's tenfold! I could watch Carol day in & day out & never get tired of doing so. She has such a wide variety of talent, where Lucille's talent was rather single range (the same thing time & time again). Lucy's daughter, Luci, developed into such a talented singer & actress. I feel we were robbed by her choice NOT to do more acting!
Lucille Ball was in movies before her fame on I Love Lucy, where her acting talent was wonderful - even in singing and dancing. Also, +++ in drama loved Lured and In A Dark Corner. While I know she was often dubbed, not always - singing was fine. Later movies - Long Long Trailer and Forever Darling (which got panned but i felt was very enjoyable). Finally 2nd movie with Hank Fonda (1968) really good and she got her best reviews for Big Street - again with Fonda. Lucie Arnaz is pleasant dancing and singing I have never felt wowed by her - also I'm in the minority in that I am also not a big fan of Carol Burnett.
There will never be another Lucille Ball. She was truly one of a kind.
RIP Lucille Ball
Dealing with the loss of a friend and Lucy and Carol made me laugh today. Brightened up my day. Two amazing comedians
Greg Vogel I'm sorry for your loss. Praying that you have found comfort in these last two years.
GodBless

You have my deepest sympathies May God bless and comfort you during this most difficult time
No doubt She is the World's No. 1 Comedian I have seen in my 82 years of my Life still remembering all my Memories. God Bless All.
I agree! Carol Burnett is the World's #1 all time greatest female comedian! You go Carol!

The early sixties stuff is so cool like the shows, the music, the styles
It was so fun and the entertainers were so cool and smooth doing physical comedy, telling stories, singing and dancing. Who could you find to do this today? Very few people I should think. More importantly who would watch it? Me I guess.

Carol Burnett, and Lucille Ball are two of the best comedians that have EVER lived. I'm so grateful for the work they're gave us.
When the guy screamed when Carol was singing😂😂
I've replayed that part 1000 xs sooooo funny
I know I am young sometimes it's good to learn about shows like this from your parents. My father used to love classic western flicks before he passed away. So thanks for the historical facts.
I can’t get over how good Lucille Ball looked at 57 when this show made. Hell, I am inspired.
What a treat to see Lucy sing and dance.
You can't find this kind of talent now a days.
I agree. The real deal here.
Yes you can! YT has saved us old fogies!
No, you can't, and it makes me sad.
@@ronrossmore211 Good point.
@@homeaccount5943 What makes acting back in the day better? I simply wanna hear your perspectives. You’re not just romanticizing the past right?
Omg they were an amazing duet 😍😍😍😍😍
Lucille Ball is a barrel of laughs. Between the Lucy Show and I Love Lucy, it's no different!
I Love Lucy! She is the Numbers one! Yesterday, today and always!
They are hilarious together!
Lucille Ball must have been in her mid 50s ans still a beautiful young looking lady!
The people that comments or whatever said that Lucy it was just sad that a lady her age was still trying to be funny. I agree with you she is funny and beautiful
And glamorous!

My two all time favorites on screen together!!!
Gale Gordon was hilarious and knew how to deliver a line brilliantly! lol

Lucy and Carol they were the best....
Great show. Very funny. Love sitcoms from the 50's and 60's. Thanks.
Two of my favorite comedians in the same episode!
one of the classiest little episodes
When both performing in the end i must say lucy is more charming, though she was in her 50s at that time and no doubt she was more sophisticated dancer
My two favorite galls together
Mine too!
Two queens of comedy!! Love it!
2 very famous American comedian Icons. I love Carol and Lucy.
Today old Goliath is known as old Wall to Wall ;)
Love these ladies and their beautiful 60's style.
Man, they are fantastic together Carol had to be around 30 in that
She was about 33 since she was born in April of 1933.
Glenn Marshall I wondered if Carol was pregnant here? I know these A-Line dresses were popular but it would have been a great cloaking device to conceal her early pregnancy.
@@hotgritz4sho Carol Burnett's oldest daughter, who has since passed on, was born in 1963. She may very well have been pregnant in this episode.
@@randysills4418 And Lucy was 55 since she was 22 years older than Carol
Love seeing Carol in an early performance 😊💗
Love this always and forever
Talent, wit and charm! Lovely ladies!
And Carol Burnett especially when she plays Eunice Higgins in Mama's Family. She has me dying laughing when she bleating in the background in the episode of Vinton Harper's wedding.
Minus the dated hair and clothes, Lucy was still beautiful and funny.
I'm so happy I found you pizza flix. Thankyou!
The episodes with Carol Burnett are among the very best of the series.
Lucy had to be in her 50s here and she looked incredible for her age I can almost swear she was in better shape and look even younger than she did in the I Love Lucy series.
The Funniest Woman of the Century!
I ❤️Carol’s glasses. I want those😍
Lucy's almost like a little Tinkerbell.

I love Lucy has pretty much been on air since early 60's The Lucy Show was in late 60's I think. It isn't put out there much
This show was in the early 70s

I see Lucy's husband Gary Morton's name was on the golf contestant's board!
I hate how there's no closure on almost all of the episodes. They just end. :(
I noticed that too! Sitcoms usually show an ending scene at home after all the mayhem.
There dynamic is together is amazing
That's Dan Rowan as Colin Grant! And Joe Pesci as "musician leader".
No, there is a reason Joe Pesci is not credited in this. It's not him!
LMAO WHAT A TALE TO TELL AND KEEP UP WITH

Two funny ladies! Fantastic talent here kids.
I loved the look of the show;the color was exceptional, and the dresses were pretty, and ladylike. I loved the fashions of this era . Groovy!!!!!!!!!!
Lucy looked so pretty in that salmon or pink dress. Maybe it was coral or peach. I love it , and her red hair really shined here .
Carol's dress was very pretty. They both looked so comfortable and pretty.
Two crazy, lovable red heads - lol

Lucille is such a beautiful name
extremely funny
Wow. 1966.
lozleo That’s the year my mom was born!
The saxophone thing is a gag straight out of classic I Love Lucy......
Lucy was exactly the same age as Carol's real-life mom Louise: 22 years her senior & born in 1911
I love Lucy Ball and Carol Burnette the best ladies in comedy just like Betty White and Lily Tomlin !
That's Dan Rowen from Rowen and Martin's Laugh In!
Yes!
Is the Louis Prima?! I love his voice! The ticks ALL the boxes 😄
According to IMBd, that's actually a young (uncredited) Joe Pesci. B'H.
Uncredited because it isn't him. Looks nothing like him, Joe would be 23 and that character is no way, no how 23, and IMBd is known to make mistakes.
Where'd that band hide those horns? LOL... oh, good times with this show growing up.
I was thinking the same thing :-)
