Very good & informative video. We've been (as tourists) staying at Haines City for 30 years. Whilst it has grown an incredible amount i still think it's a perfect distance from the hustle & bustle and I've nothing but good experiences with friendly locals and feeling safe as a foreigner. A real community feel. It's a dream to actually live there 👍🏻
As someone born and raised in Polk County/Winter Haven….. I cannot fathom anyone bragging about living in Haines City or frankly anywhere in Polk County.
@@moisesalcantara4231 The town is sad, gray, expensive, especially the water bill and the water quality is the worst. It’s crowded, everyday you hear emergency sirens, is far from everything, the list goes on. 😂😂🤣
My pleasure! If you have any questions feel free to reach out. I definitely will be doing more videos in Haines City and Polk county in general in the near future.
Are there other areas like Haines with affordable homes that we haven't heard of? Do you have a list of cities you would recommend as being in the same category: in an upcoming area where the prices are lower because development is still coming through, and otherwise it is further from anchors like Orlando, Tampa, Daytona Beach, etc.?
@EPaige I am retired single lady with a cute little puppy. I don’t care about night life but I would like to live in a community that is friendly, has a few restaurants, a hospital, doctors, dentists, Ophtalmologists etc the basic necessities as u age. Is it a safe community? I don’t like driving as much anymore. Would u recommend Haines City? I have so many questions… how far is it fr Miami where I have family? Tks
Hey Sonia, I can't comment on the safety of areas such as their crime rate due to fair housing laws, but I do often recommend the use of sites like Niche.com to my clients so they can see the ratings for their potential future home areas. Depending on traffic the drive from Haines city is around 3.5-4 hours, but if you are okay with driving to Orlando or Tampa you can take the Brightline train to Miami. There are some beautiful homes in the area in about the $300k-$500k range. Your also close to a good amount of the shopping plazas and just 10 minutes from Lake Eva.
I don't understand...homes in Haines city for 300,000 average wage - 9.00 an hour...is there any condos, or manufactured homes with low hoa or no hot, or any other options? any cheaper over 55 homes?...
Hello Roak, Yes there are condos, manufactured homes, town homes, 55+ communities and even single family homes for under $300k.. Some of which do have low or no HOA. I believe what brings the average up is because of the large amount of new construction homes that have sold and also Haines city does have homes in some areas that are in the $1-$3million price range.
