Alright anyone who made conclusions/concerns on sugar content of this homemade version, here is in FLUID OUNCES ONLY. Sprite:6oz / MTN DW: 2oz / Powerade 12oz. Total carb count is 45 Carbs/20oz and 15g* caffeine. Store bought 20oz bottle is 74 carbs and 96mg of caffeine. Note: As a Type01 diabetic myself I’ve seen sports drinks have less of a spike than soda itself, I can get away with 12oz of sports drink without insulin and spike little, while 12 oz of regular soda is a death sentence without insulin take that as you will.
Mountain Dew released Baja blast to commemorate 20 years of Baja blast so yes there’s a store bought. The reason why I added my personal “diabetic statement” At the bottom was because there are only 10 oz of soda being used vs the 20oz in that Baja bottle, I’m not sure if it’ll spike blood sugar or not, it’s a theory I might have to test myself.
Is it maybe just the context you drink both? I dont have diabetes but I do feel better eating/drinking sugar after working out (when youd normally drink sports drink) then I do eating/drinking sugar while being inactive.

Sprite and poweradt are from coca cola and mountain dew is from pepsi. This is 100% forbiddt. I never had baja blast it's not available in Germany as is every other flavor than original.

I dont think anyone realizes but theres already a mountain dew flavor and its baja blast so I wouldn't waste money on something mountain dew already has a flavor of especially when your trying to make it homemade.

For thee same price (less because power ade costs more than soda) you can literally just buy 3 bottles of baja blast. (they at least sell them in my local stores)
Baja blast is seasonal in stores and Powerade is actually cheaper than soda. A 28oz bottle cost about 1.30 on a average while a 20oz bottle of brand soda is 2.20

Baja blast is on the shelves year round here and they cost no more than any other bottle of the size of that sprite ; powerades only cheaper if you do the bundles like (5 for x price) but for a singular one, it's more expensive. (especially instead of the small one you just went with 2 liters for the other 2 drinks involved

I used to always mix powerade and sprite at McDs in the 2000s. (Unfortunately no mtn dew exists in most restaurants). Funny how close I was to baja blast, no wonder I loved mixing powerade.

Instead of buying 3 different drinks and mixing them, all you have to do is buy 3 bottles of Baja Blast, then pour ⅓ of each into a cup! I promise you it's going to taste almost exactly like a Baja Blast!
