- Today we have a look at a quick unboxing and first impressions of the Specna Arms Edge SA-E07. This is the gun I have purchased to go head to head with my upgraded Specna Arms 416.

Excellent review. I have had a SA-E08 for a few weeks now, the quality is amazing for price. I would like to confirm that my stock was also very loose. I put a felt pad on top, and that cured the issue for me. my replica fired the same as yours on arrival. After I reshimmed its now double firing with 11.1 lipo:) I ran it it on Sunday with a 7.4v and it performed amazingly well, although I put a maple leaf macron hop rubber in it, as my stock rubber had a blemish (luck of the draw, i guess).
How is it holding up 3 years later?

I just received my Dutch Airsoft license. My friend reccomended this one and I got it in the mail today. Dont have a battery yet but it is a great looking airsoft replica.

I don't know if you're member of the specna arms facebook group, but there are a few reports of failing ball bearings and even rust in some gearboxes. Might just be a shipment that was bad, but it's still worth knowing. I guess one of the places they save a few bucks is in QC. But on the other hand that might be unfair because I guess every company has had their problems sometime.

this is easily the best overview of the gun on UA-cam. i do have 1 quick question though, is the barrel threaded? could i unscrew the amplifier and add a standard tip or suppressor?? the reason i ask is, i was going to buy the e08 but i noticed that in the us it comes with this goofy orange tip & it's not removable on the 08, i was hoping that i could just instead buy the 07 and unscrew the sound amplifier and add a standard tip like what the e08 comes with. would i be able to do this? or am i better off buying the e08 and trying to change the outer barrel? which i heard doesn't remove easily. i don't see the purpose of buying a "replica" gun only for it to come with an orange plastic tip that is not even true to the gun.
Paul Flurry the amplifier is a 14mm ccw thread, so you can just unscrew it and put a standard flash hider on. Are you in the US? If so, all Airsoft guns come with an orange tip but you can change them I believe.
Just got my E08 becoz of this review. Have you been using 11.1v? How did it go. Would u recommend 7.4v for long lasting?. Im only semi-auto person. Would Battery Voltage affect the gearset with semi auto?
I'm also really happy with the SA-E03

Would an Angry gun L119A2 hand guard go on this if i swapped out the barrel for a 10.3 inch barrel. i know you wont know but id appriciate your insight as im newish to building/upgrading airsoft weapons. thanks in advance
im waiting for my sa-e07 too, got the new 2.0 version bit more expensive but the specs are worth the money 100%

@@error262 They got a more "computerized" system that can be plug into a PC and set up. However that system has proven to be too ahead of themself and unrealiable. My suggestion is to stick with first gen Edge for now.
What battery would you recommend with this? (First time buyer)

stuart Lathe I’m in Shropshire, I have a few sites not far from me such as Drakelow tunnels and Shell Shock Woods, although I like to head to Leek and Anzio Camp. That’s probably my favourite.

Wonderfull review mate! Would love it if you could show everyone how to maintain it. Ive used mine quite a bit and would like to know how to keep it running. maybe an indepth survice guide and how to notice if there are any faults with your AEG. Love the vids mate keep em coming :)

Did you have feeding issues with your edge model? Mine didn't want to feed at all with my Elite Force midcaps so I bought some of the new KWA mags and they feed ok but they still have feeding issues occasionally but the stock mags perform the same, it is a brand new gun and I've only played one day so far and as the day went on it got better so I don't know if it's the tappet spring breaking in or it's a common problem with these guns
isaac shively that is a very good point. I have had the odd feeding issue with my PTS and Specna mags but usually later in the day. It has happened the two times I’ve used it. I haven’t had chance to look in to it further, but I might try a different hop chamber to see if that makes a difference. What battery are you using? Sometimes the gearbox can spin too fast for the nozzle, hop, mag combo to cope.
@@BIGBIRDSAIRSOFT I'm using the low discharge 11.1 Elite Force lipos so that I don't get over cycle... And thats funny about the mags because the KWA mags are the same as the PTS mags just rebranded

Hi there ! Is the red dot the theta optics? Do you recommend it ? I wanted to buy a flash kill for it but i heard it already has one . Can you confirm this?
sfarc23 it’s actually a on eBay Chinese clone. It only cost £25 and is perfect for Airsoft. There is no kill flash on it.
ty for the response , the theta optics one is like 30£ , someone said on a fb comment that the first glass ( from the front ) isnt functional and can be taken down and replaced , it's not a flash kill per say , but still some protection .
sfarc23 it could be the same then, there isn’t any branding on this red dot but they tend to all come from the same factory. I’ll have a closer look.
I got the specna arms edge as-e12 and it has mosfet like this gun and I have a battery like your first one with the adaptor and I struggle getting the mosfet to go back in the tube with the stock on is there an easy way to do this please help very new to air soft 😂😂
Iv just bought the edge sa 09 and my stock is exactly the same
Havnt had a chance to use it yet but really look forward to emptying some mags

So I have an edge 7 already upgraded the inner barrel hop rubber and motor going for a hop unit next then a new mosfet which would you suggest the warfet or the merf ?
NINJANUT DOES AIRSOFT always the Warfet. It’s a little smaller and has precocking. There is also the Aster but the Warfet wins for me, as if you buy spare signal wires, you can swap it between guns.

I am torn between an tm vsr 10 and aeg, my concern with aeg is are they reliable,. Any advice?

i played my first game yesterday(sunday) absolutely loved it cant wait to get my own gun...after some decent gloves because christ! my knuckles are fucked haha been looking at the specna edge 08 this review helped cement that, great review and look forward to seeing more from you. keep up the good work!

J Dury thanks bud, absolutely loved my first game have always wanted to try it and I don’t know why I didn’t sooner because I can’t wait to get back at it and eventually get my own gear. Only had a go at cqb so looking forward to trying a larger field skirmish at some point. Videos like this really help new people understand and enjoy the game more I feel.

steve lees they’re good value but some people have fallen foul of QC issues. If you get a good one, or can do tech work, they’re great.

sean woodrum yes the amp comes off. It has a 14ccw thread.
I have a question please anwser me. Can you take the silencer/muzzle off? And put a normal silencer on it or not?
You can do all of that but the silencer has to be 34mm or less in diameter to fit in the rail.

@@Mehlikegamez you don’t unless it states it, so you have research. Also, there are loads of silencers out there, you don’t have to buy SA.

Kptain TV hi and thanks for supporting my channel. The biggest diameter you can use is 34mm. That’s the size of the amplifier and that is tight.

Kptain TV a good tight bore barrel, hop unit, rubber and nub. That will give you the best value upgrade. 9v will be fine but the 11.1v is the best for trigger response 👍
do you know witch spring is the original? is it an m100?
Gonçalo Pinto I don’t know for sure, but would guess it’s at least a 110.
It comes with a M120 installed and a M90 in the box, I have a E06 and my field limits are 400fps so I installed a M125 Lonex spring and it brought it to 400 on the nose and the springs that come with the gun have a very twangy sound to them so if your like me and want your gun to be nice and quiet get a decent irregular pitch spring and a low discharge 11.1 lipo... I use the Elite Force 11.1 with the three separate cells and they fit perfect in the stock since the buffer tube is taken up with the mosfet and wire crimps
@@isaacshively6705 I know that it's a 1 year old comment but what capacity is your cell? 1200-1400mAh or more? Asking because larget ones are thicker and might not fit.

Mine came with the wrong fore grip and missing the user manual, a magazine and the Lanyard stock legit fell off don’t recommend this bit of shite
DibDat yeah, you’ve fallen foul of the dreadful Specna QC. If you haven’t, watch some of my later video’s on the h20, and j series.
