Just great! The music, rocks, driving through giant trees. I especially love the green rocks, the Irish in me. Thanks for time out of mind. ✌

Another great trip. My only negative is I would have brought home the bright red banded jasper. Of course I'm partial to jaspers. Thanks for letting us tag along and showing us the cuts at the end. You never know what's in the middle of the rock until you cut it. Be safe and stay healthy 😷⚒

I am always trying to decide when enough is enough , I need to do more with my jasper mountain at home so I don't feel guilty grabbing more, thanks for coming on another hunt, I appreciate it !

Thank you for cutting the sparkle potato rocks. The shiney areas look like labradorite. Pretty awesome that such a plain looking rock on the outside should be so pretty on the inside. I totally would have disregarded those rocks thinking they were leaverites. Currently Rockhounding is an amazing source of information I highly recommend his channel. That being said, I have also learned a lot from you. Your channel has a lot to offer the viewer as well. Keep on questing I for one enjoy going along on the hunt.

Nate, some great looking rocks once again. The blue green pieces are great looking pieces, though that last piece# of Jasper was really cool.

Hey there Nate! I'm headed to the Eel River then to Eureka this weekend. My son lives above Avenue of the Giants. I'm super excited as I am familiar with where you are. Last weekend I was at the Trinity River. I was able to tolerate maybe 5 minutes being the Water with water shoes. Extremely freezing right now! I imagine the Eel will be just as cold??? Should I bring waterproof hiking boots in case?

A lot of the specimens you first cut are members of the epidote group associated with superheated serpentines, in contact metamorphic zones.

Nate, when I was working in the area, a fellow grad student called that Peridotite. That seems to match the books. Its usually high in iron and makes the detector sing. I have found some in Cash Creek on my side of the hill. It weathers bad and like your cuts can have a thick weathered skin. Larger ones cut better. Some are a deep green inside. But, very dark. I haven't cabbed any yet. Thanks Again.
