Gil, you always have the coolest Military Radios, I carried a PRC-77 for a number of years, and it's nice to see the other radios out there.
Hi Gil. Great video, nice to see mil radio rescued from the scrap heap. I can tell you the thumping noise is from your battery charger, I had the very same noise on a 2 metre rig today while I was charging a LiPo battery nearby. Love your videos and good to see you on Callums channel this last couple of times. Cheers, Steve (G6JEF)
Thanks Steve!
Hello from sydney Australia. Fantastic work. formidable ! Love your videos. Thank you.
I spent a week in North Dandenong with the flu, LOL.
Msr. Gil always has interesting things to show! Beautiful radio, congratulations, great acquisition.
That is a blast from the past. Great condition too. Thanks for sharing !

@@RadioPrepper thankyou!
Hi again Gil from Tasmania, Australia.
Another great presentation and radio. Can't wait to see it out in a field operational video, i'm sure your planning one :) You do come up with all the cool stuff. Cheers 73 vk7ham.
Ps. the electrical noise sure did sound like an electric fence. I live on a farm and have that interference in the background but filter it out.
Thanks, it sure does.. I spent two months in Australia, had a great time but missed Tasmania..
@@RadioPrepper Well you better come back some day and let us show you around our little state that is packed with some of the most beautiful sights in the World. Wife and I used to own and operate accommodation in Launceston, also booking itineraries for our clients around Tassie.
Cheers 73 Gil.
This channel was recommended and this was the first video I've seen so far.
I'm not familiar with military radios, but this one sure seems pretty easy to use, once translated of course and they are all badass. LOL
73 de N2NLQ!
Thanks for another interesting video! Ref. the clicking noise, from the speed of it I have to wonder if there are any electric livestock fences near you? 73! -Scott, K4KDR
Unlikely but not impossible!
I envy you.. Lucky Bugger!!!... ENJOY and Thanks...73
Gil, man you find the gems. How did you wet the caps so it wouldn't fry, or was it used before you bought it? I have my Dad's old Kenwood, and hasn't been used in years. The last time it was fired up was in 2002. Do you have any ideas for me to get it going? Again thanks for the great video. You are always giving us all surprises each video you do. 73's. Clark KG7LOI.
Well, I just plugged it in..
Great video thanks
Hi Gil, very nice radio! 73' Hans/PD2MTR

Love the radios !!!
Great Pia!
Beautiful radio Gil, I've buying almost the same radios you have, PRC-320, PRC 351/352
and CODAN 8528 are some examples. Do you get yours on online auctions? Where can I get a TRC-372 like yours?
I got it from a friend.. Get the word out that you are looking...
The titc-tic-tic is likely an electric fence...
That is one sweet radio gil
Good explanation! Let's be friends!
Another really cool rig! Do you ever plan to do the LSB modification to your other uber-cool rig, the PRC-320?
I'm on the fence about it...
Qso was loud and clear
Thanks for the video clip Gil. Get a haircut ! Hi Hi 73's M6APJ
yes you hillie
A cool little find, where do you find such things and approximately how old is it?
His word of mouth, 70s..
@@RadioPrepper Thanks for the reply Gil, so the radio is nearly 50yrs old, how time flies! I have a 1945 RCA AR88 receiver which I'm restoring.
Hi Gil,
How do you setup what freq you are using? Tried to locate a manual online for the radio. 73 WB3BJU
With the coding wheels... I haven't see much at all on the web about it...
Hi Gil,
Looking at the wheels you were on 7165. Is that correct? 73 WB3BJU
